I look at Seattle when someone says that having Diva's doesn't matter. -

I expect big changes along the front 7 this offseason to help out the secondary -
Doesn't happen often. Bruce Arians offense last year was figured out by some defenses and the offense has squandered since then. Happens to a bunch of offensive coordinators who don't change their ways. I don't want an OC who isn't flexible in their playcalling when their philosophy stops working. Sean Peyton and McDaniels are great playcallers because they are able to change his playcalling based on what the teams strengths are. The Saints are dominating in the run game now and passing less. Have to be able to be flexible.

I'm shocked that firing him is even a thought. They just drafted their franchise QB and he got hurt for the majority of the season. JJ Watt also missed the season along with several other Houston players hitting the IR. Seriously, how is this even in question? Watson was playing like an MVP with O'brien at head coach and Watson has been in support of him staying by saying he'd like O'brien as HC for his career. I don't understand why they'd mess with the clear connection the two have and the product the two put on the field on offense. Is it the fans impatience? I'd understand that because of the impatient fans from this franchise calling for a HC to be fired 9 games in to his first season which may end in a playoff birth. Houston would be dumb to move on from him so soon.

I would've disagreed with Ohio State making it in over Alabama. They got stomped by Iowa. It was a blowout, not even a contest. Alabama had 1 loss against their rival Auburn. Ohio State blew it. I hate Alabama but you can't get blown out by a team that finished 7-5 and expect to get into the playoffs with another loss on your resume as well.

I never get too down because I thoroughly enjoy the offseason strategy and watching teams make good and bad moves including the Bills -
Which is more Risk UFA or Draft

The Rams and the Eagles traded up for their QBs. I do disagree that it does matter which flop will hurt the team more. It's not exactly easy to get out of a 100 million dollar deal. Would hurt this team for years but a rookie with the scale in place, wouldn't make much of a dent. -

I like Christian Jones who will be a free agent outside linebacker from Chicago. He's got speed and length. 26 years old and is looking for the right scheme, I think McDermott could make him blossom. I also think they'll be looking to add their MLB in the draft. Could see two new starting linebackers next to Milano next season. -
I just think it was more of a distraction from his frustration with his injuries than anything. He said how selfish he was here and he said that he was afraid his teammates here thought he was selfish. Whether they were or not who knows. Sammy isn't getting the ball as much as I'm sure he'd like in LA but he isn't complaining. I think the trade gave him a reality check

I just compared Buffalo Sammy to LA Sammy. They have two different attitudes IMO

6'6", 4.5...what could have been if he had any focus -
Yep and that's why this board is a nightmare at times. Why add to that? You are a contributor who posts a lot to the board and you add value when you form opinions based on facts and challenge another to see a different view point. I like conversing with people who have different opinions but once the sarcasm is added, the conversations just turn into people calling each other names and garbage talk. No intelligence left in those conversations. I'm open to other opinions and seeing things from a different view, the mocking and sarcasm is just pointless. Takes all the fun out of this board.

I'd just rather have team first players. He said it himself that he was selfish here. Just sounded like a player that was on an average team that was only looking out for himself. Not what I'm looking for in a player. I want the Kyle Williams teammates and the Richie Incognito teammates (while he has been on Buffalo not Miami). Look at Sammy now, doesn't get targets but he keeps his mouth shut. He didn't do that here and I think us trading him was a reality check for him.

I'm more for long term success than instant gratification of one year where we may have gotten in the playoffs. Just my opinion. Sometimes you gotta make business moves.
-
You see I didn't say I was willing to pay him the big bucks just like I wasn't willing to pay Sammy what surely would have been big bucks. I said a decent contract with an injury clause (playing time incentives). I'd rather have potentially two starters than a bloated contract for a receiver that had trouble staying on the field here and was disgruntled.

Now you're actually debating and not just making sarcastic comments. See where that might piss some people off? Maybe you'd get a little more respect if you didn't just sarcastically crap on others' opinions. I think Tyrod has a lot of those problems. I've seen him for three years and he hasn't seemed to improve much even when he had better weapons. He is inaccurate in crucial situations. He takes sacks at the wrong time and doesn't look to throw the ball away which is poor decision making. In his career, he hasn't taken over the game and won it for us a lot, he just hasn't lost it for us. I don't want a QB that needs to rely on their defense or run game all the time like he does and has through his entire career. He's been here almost three full seasons, I've seen a decent bridge QB and that's it. I dare to be better at that position. Peterman was thrown into a difficult position but the team around him failed him. He wasn't good in the game but the team around him was just as bad. That was the worst game by the supporting cast on offense all year IMO. Peterman played in other games and looked a lot better than that. His game against Indy was rather solid considering how difficult it was to pass in that game. His back shoulder pass to Benjamin in that game was a breath of fresh air. Yes of course he has some flaws, he's a rookie. Rookies have rookie performances. He had the same type of performance in his first game in college. He turned it around in college and I am not simply throwing him away like many people here are because of one half. He could use some mentoring, I hope he gets another chance to compete for the starting job next preseason and use that game as some motivation. He could amount to nothing but one game is not even close to enough IMO.

Like Peterman throws 5 INTs in every game?? How many times have we heard in debates on here, "Peterman will just have another 5 picks"...blah blah blah blah blah. Can make the same argument right back at ya dude. I'm not even asking for Peterman to start or any of that but these type of comments just make me laugh. Slight double standard don't ya think?
-
It's funny, he becomes the player we want him to be all the time against Miami for a half or so but returns to being Tyrod against everyone else. I don't get it.

Apologies. I never thought he was his replacement. He's a slot guy. Don't just assume I'm in with that group though. We did the right thing moving Sammy before he left and we would've been left empty handed. Imagine what this board would have done if he left in free agency after this season and we were trying to resign him. We spent two first rounders and a fourth on him and would've gotten really nothing for him in the end. That would've been a punch in the face. I'm hopeful that they resign Gaines who is a tackling corner. Hopefully he can straighten out the injuries and we resign him to a decent contract with playing time incentives or something so we don't get screwed if he gets hurt. If he's resigned and the second round pick pans out...that's pretty darn good in my opinion.
