Definitely a lot to learn but hopefully he won’t be thrust into a lot of action before he’s ready. He’s got great support/opportunity to become a late round contributor with the aging Alexander in front of him, young talents in Edmunds/Milano and a coaching staff that has experience working with quality linebackers. Rooting for him

What does our defensive line base look like?

That's why it was an important position to fill. It's not just what he produces but what he does for Hughes, Murphy and Lawson. -
A player will develop as they develop. There isn't a designated time of development a player should have. For some players it takes longer. Moulds was year 3, Welker was year 3, Edelman was year 5 and the list goes on and on. Sometimes all it takes is for fans to show a little patience and let the coaching staff work with the young fella. But ya know, the whole instant gratification thing has hit everyone really hard so...here we are.

Quality snaps over quantity. Yes they have invested a lot up front but if they rotate and get quality snaps and quality push, why complain? You know what drives me nuts, watching a player be overused up front and they just lean on the offensive lineman essentially taking the play off. What good is that to the defense? Doesn't matter if Ed gets 60% of snaps or 90% as long as he is getting quality snaps along with the rest of them. That's the point in the rotation right? So if he can handle 90% of the snaps and they are all quality snaps, then so be it but if he can't...let him rest and bring in another quality guy ready to make a push. What happens WHEN injuries hit that group? I'd rather have quality backups than some no name that gets pushed around like we always have year after year. Relax and enjoy the depth my friend. Don't overthink it -

They do have a state of the art workout facility and they drafted a few guys that could benefit a lot from it. Probably using it as a selling point to these young men -

There’s a lot of depth in this class, plenty of names left. That’s why the people panicking that we didn’t take one on the first two days need to chill and look at the board. Even if if we don’t draft one, UDFAs will be available and there’s other ways we can add to the wr core before the season starts.
