  1. I already made a thread on this guy in this section about me liking him. It's just a few threads down. He's only a one year wonder really and coming out early but he's very talented.
  2. All of these guys are hopes and prayers to be taken where you are taking them.
  3. I was not on board with this for a while but now I'm turning around. I wouldn't mind him. He'd need to develop more as a passer but he has the arm strength. I'd take him over Rudolph.
  4. Nope, they usually cut or trade big salary guys later in the offseason to be under the cap.
  5. Both are more athletic and can get to the second level better than Price can. They both use their hands well. I'd take those players ahead of Price at the center spot especially now that he has a length recovery time for his injury.
  6. I don't want him. I think there are better options at center this year and now he is hurt for an extended period of time. I'll take Wynn or Daniels over Price.
  7. All I said is both players got better. I didn't compare the twos success. Sam Bradford's 2015 and 2016 would easily be the best two seasons by a Quarterback here in a very very long time. He started 2017 with a bang too. I don't care if you don't want him but give the guy credit, he has improved big time and looked to be stepping into the prime of his career before his injury this year.
  8. Alex Smith improved since his early days and so has Bradford. You can look back at all of his stats early on but this is a what have you done recently league. Besides his health, he's been pretty good.
  9. So then you have your price of what is too much to give. I wouldn't give any more than our 4th round pick this year which is late. That will not make a dent in a deal with moving up. We have more picks this year in that area and next year. We have an extra 4th round pick next year too from the Ragland deal and all of our picks. We have more than enough picks to give up a mid to late round pick and still move up. Not even a question IMO
  10. We have a ton of picks both this year and more than all of ours next year, one later round pick is not gonna change that
  11. Why not stock up at WR for next year for whoever they go after at QB? It will likely be a low cost and if it's not then move on. We are very likely to get a new QB, there's no reason to dilly dally around and wait for a WR now. They would all hit the field at the start of this season right? I don't understand why we wouldn't go after another WR because we currently don't have our QB but we are likely to get them in a month.
  12. Not even one of the 5th round picks? I know we did well picking Milano last year but 5th round picks aren't exactly consistent winning picks. The guy doesn't want to be in Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh doesn't want him, I could see a buyer's market type deal to get him out of there. I'd rather have a proven talent than a 5th round pick that likely won't workout.
  13. Seems like a a 7th round or priority free agent option. We have an former tight ends coach as our OC so who knows. For the blocking part, I don't consider his height to be a plus. If he could be a third tight end that came in on goal line play and contributed on special teams (blocking kicks), I'd consider that worth a look.
  14. Is it really to our advantage now? I have to see it to believe it. Sure we went to the playoffs but San Fran won their last five games with their new franchise QB and have a young defense. Cleveland can overpay anyone. The Raiders have their franchise QB and another franchise player on the other side of the ball in Mack, that new coaching staff could rewrite the script for them. I honestly don't see us as the best team that has interviewed him as of right now. We may be after the offseason but right now...that's a ?
  15. Houston used similar playcalling to what Clemson used. It was more tailored to his abilities. Teams haven't seen a lot of that type of college playcalling from other teams in the league. I'm sure it helped him be more successful year one.
  16. So they passed on a guy who looked to have a similar skillset but better at it than Tyrod. They didn't know how to use Tyrod so why would they get Watson? They waited until this class, one year, where there is a ton of QBs. They have the assets to trade up and get their guy. I really don't see the problem with passing on Watson. He's not the type of QB they want. They clearly want more of a pocket passer. No QBs don't fall from the sky but this class was rated very highly and they waited one year and made the playoffs that year...I just don't see what there is to complain about. Plus, Watson tore his leg up after a handful of games. That's not making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside about his future. I agree 100%. Honestly, I think Rosen would be the best fit for that type of scheme out of the players in this class. He needs to bulk up though.
  17. If they couldn't use Tyrod to his full abilities what makes you believe they'd be able to use Watson to his full abilities? They were looking for a different type of QB. That's why I think Lamar Jackson is not an option this year, they want the pocket passer. Blame them all you want but they are waiting for their guy and could get it in year two which is better than any other regime has done for this team in the last couple decades. It's not all about talent. The fit needs to be right and that is especially true for QB.
  18. Did I say we should use two first round draft picks on the offensive line? No, but a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick like Dawkins last year and a free agent pick up would be ideal. Yes we have other holes but on a team that runs the ball a lot and a team that will likely have a new QB next year (potentially a rookie), I think it'd be wise to solidify the offensive line and the depth of the offensive line. Give the QB the best protection you can. It depends on what other assets we have after we get a QB but we could make a dent in the other needs as well. I just believe people are brushing by the oline when there is a lot of uncertainty there. If those guys that you are relying on fail, that rookie QB or whoever it is won't be having a great time either.
  19. That's the A plan. But that's a perfect world and that doesn't happen in Buffalo. Cordy isn't a sure-thing for being healthy in the slightest and Miller is a big ? That's a lot to hope comes together and works just nicely. I'd say they definitely need one or two guys to at least battle for a starting job against these guys.
  20. Fair enough. I think Daniels needs to get a bit stronger but he is athletically quick in both his feet and hands like Erving. If he doesn't add a little weight, he could get pushed around too much but we will see what his weight is at the combine and bench press too. If he shows he's improved...he's a first round guy IMO. Erving played more on the outside than Daniels. Daniels has a good amount of experience inside at center whereas Erving was moved around a lot.
  21. I just think Daniels ability to get to the second level is elite. He is what teams are looking for in terms of athleticism at that position. Wynn could play all of the positions IMO but he would probably fair the best at guard.
  22. I have Daniels as the highest rated center neck and neck with Wynn who I think could play the position as well. He is in the mold of the Pouncey brothers who are on the light side. His ability to get to the next level and use his athleticism is unmatched in this draft by anyone besides Wynn. Price is a second round center to me. Not even close to Daniels play athletically.
  23. I disagree with this. It would be a mistake to not address the offensive line better than that this offseason. Miller has big question marks and Groy does too. Just because he started a few years ago in a handful of games doesn't mean much when there is a new scheme and new coaches. The interior of the offensive line should be addressed and Cordy needs to be healthy. He hasn't been so who do you have behind Cordy? That needs to be addressed as well. Don't overlook the needs of an offensive line on a team that likes to run the ball and will likely have a rookie QB next year.
  24. Well, both are needs so...that is realistic.
  25. Leighton Vander Esch should be on the Bills radar, he just screams McDermott's style. However, if he is supposed to dominate at the combine and this kid can cover, blitz and tackle well...I think he will be taken in the late first round. He could stand to add to his frame but that can all be done with some conditioning once he gets drafted. I think Buffalo would have to take him in the first round to get him. IMO he will rise over the remaining months.
