Jerry Hughes has WRECKED games for QBs in some games this year. Top defensive front players can make a MAJOR impact on games. You have to have solid play at all 5 positions on the line or you likely aren't making it far into the postseason. We have many offensive needs put an offensive lineman can help both the run and the pass game.

Yes you do but you have to lay a foundation of young players down first. Look at Philly and the Rams. You have to have a lot of young players drafted first for what you want to build and GMs are clearing the players that don't fit to gain the draft capital to do so. It's a strategy that I'm aboard with. Winning this season was not a priority. Development is and should be with a team that was injected with a lot of young players at key positions. That's all that matters this season. Unfortunately, some of them have been hurt but hopefully they get back out their soon. That's the future. Look past today and see that the process takes time. The high pick this season will be very interesting come offseason.

Well when you wake up and realized it was a major development year right off of the bat, it's really not that bad. We were competitive with our starting QB and we suck with a backup that throws an outrageous number of interceptions. The defense quits after the offense can't score a point. The dominos fell. I want to see what they look like when Allen gets back. Does he re-light the fire under this team. He wasn't great but he gave the team excitement and had the defense pumped.

I'm one of those guys that saw a team with a rookie QB with little talent around him. Jared Goff, Carson Went and Mitchell Trubisky had this issue in their first season as well. None of those guys had great first seasons and some were thrown to the weeds by fans who can't stand not winning every game of every season. It takes patience. Next year, if the offense isn't ten times better, then it is time to reevaluate. Call me a sucker but I don't overreact to every little thing that happens. BTW first time coaches have had success recently. Pederson and McVay say hi. Oh and also the only coach who has been able to take this team to the playoffs in the last twenty years or so.

The offense is only good when they have a lot of yards and the defense is only good when they don't give up any yards. Don't you know this

Some fans don't see the vision. They only care about this year and how to make it better right now. It's gotta be tough to be a fan that sees the game that way. You'd always be screaming for heads. Not sure if they understand that when they say "Process" it means it's going to be a while.

Trent Murphy was on the strip sack. All I've heard is people bashing him but he's played pretty great so far this year.

With the talent we have, it's much safer for Allen to run there. Protect the rookie.

But you aren't giving the guy a chance at all. I mean Ryan Lewis went undrafted and was cut by the Pats. I was talking about players that were recently cut earlier. Sometimes the fit is the problem and yes that can be the case as well with undrafted players.

Finding ways to get him open more often underneath will be important to Allen's progress this year. As if zero undrafted free agents have ever made a difference on a team...
