  1. Why stop there, what do you think about Marv as head coach and making Jim Kelly the OC? And bringing back the red end zones?
  2. And yet Josh still has his haters. For all the credit Beane and McDermott get, this is a 4-5 win team at best without Allen. That simply would not be the case with KC or Cincy, who have better talent and coaching across the board. A good example occurred just last year when the Bengals held it together respectfully with Jake Browning at QB and a bunch of other injuries.
  3. Hard to pass up a vaunted Duke defender and the next coming of Jason Sehorn
  4. I still think it is better than Andre Holmes/Jordan Matthews/Deonte Thompson/Kaelin Clay in 2017, but not by a lot. It's inexcusable to me to have a WR room this bereft with Josh Allen in his prime.
  5. This is another reason why taking a second swing at WR instead of just drafting Carter in the 3rd would have been prudent (or at least, draft a second receiver somewhere). Guys like Claypool, Hamler, and MVS flat out suck and it was delusional to expect anything out of them. Now one of the top 3 gets hurt and the Bills WR corps looks like the worst in football. Good luck Josh
  6. I guess I am in the minority but Hardy didn't impress me last night. He didn't look explosive at all on his punt returns even though he was force fed numerous opportunities. He also looked rough in run support because of taking some bad angles when trying to attack the ball carrier.
  7. Well, I've seen enough. Our kicking problems are over
  8. Appropriate that she makes an appearance in Pennsyltucky
  9. Great post man. I think we can all appreciate the optimism at this point. Gotta give you kudos as well for being on point with your info again, even if the news is bad. It's quite nice to have a reliable source on the message board you frequent. As to your points, I particularly agree with #3. The athletic ability of Williams is not in question. Instincts and pass coverage need improvement, but I am optimistic these will only get better with experience and reps. I look back to last year and remember how many (including myself) were terrified of letting a completely unproven 3rd rounder take the place of Edmunds. Let's hope Dorian can seize the moment just like Bernard did. Go Bills
  10. Yeah, no doubt he's a very intelligent guy but he came across to me as inauthentic. Either way, meh. I feel worse for him because of the way douchebag Mike Shanahan ruined his career.
  11. I realize that. That's why I indicated one would be cut 🤦
  12. I completely agree. The Atlanta game in week 4 where he made two 55 plus yarders coming down the stretch was incredible. His clutch kicking propelled the Bills that season
  13. This is a pretty good attempt. I would keep Clapp and hope to sneak Grable on the PS. Collins is washed. Otherwise hard to argue. Edit - One of Salomon or Ulofoshio will make it due to draft status
  14. Now there's a kicker who is worth the money, regardless of the off the field social stuff. Dude is clutch as hell
  15. Hauschka lost his leg strength in 2019, so you are correct that's why they went in a different direction. The Bills basically couldn't kick anything beyond 50 that season. That said, he still always felt reliable on the gimme attempts. And I agree that Lindell and Carpenter were both pretty solid overall. I think Bass is clearly the worst of the 4. The only one Bass has a better fg percentage on with the Bills is Hauschka, yet Hausch money was a better clutch kicker and more reliable in the 30-49 yard distance (85.2% vs 83.7% for Bass). Bass is also an abysmal 89.2% on PAT's and 70.6% on FG for his career in the postseason. I understand Bass's contract (which was an ill advised decision even prior to last season) is an issue and we are tight on cap space, but bringing in an UDFA to challenge him at the least should have happened. That's where most kickers in the league get started so it's not like the Bills would've had to invest some premium resource. Hell, we brought in Jack Browning to challenge Sam Martin, and punter to me is a far less serious concern than kicker 🤷
  16. Did Steven Hauschka get erased from our history books? This
  17. Exactly. What about the 20 something yarder on the Bills first drive against KC? He damn near missed that one. This is setting up like the Bills keeping Norwood in 1991 after missing the kick in the Super Bowl. He was already a declining kicker, and the big postseason miss messed with his head. Norwood was an absolute disaster that year. I still remember the Raiders game where he missed 4 kicks before finally hitting the game winner. I don't care if Bass goes 28 of 30 this year in the regular season. When it comes to a clutch, must make situation in the postseason, it is not going to turn out well. I don't think I can handle a 3rd wide right scenario. Last thing - think of the kicker before Bass, Steven Hauschka. That was a guy who was actually deserving of his nickname. He hit numerous big kicks for the Bills (the 2017 season to end the drought was amazing) and was one of the most accurate kickers ever. Even when it became clear in 2019 that his leg strength was in decline, he still made the pressure kick against Houston in the WC game to force OT, and you never felt that inside 40 he might miss. The Bills are playing with fire here big time, and it is so unnecessary.
  18. He's a headcase. It's really quite shocking to me that a contending team like the Bills with Josh Allen in his prime could employ someone so shaky at such an important position. I feel certain it's going to cost us again
  19. At this point it should be Shavers. Claypool and MVS have already proven what they are and have been given multiple chances with different teams. I see no reason to gift wrap a roster spot due to their "name".
  20. Just like he's recruited every free agent to Buffalo and nothing ever happens
  21. Gus Johnson hasn't called NFL games in going on 15 years
  22. If you would've said this after the 2022 Vikings game I probably would agree, but he's become fairly valuable and versatile depth on our roster
  23. If healthy that is as good a linebacker pair as any else in the league. Let's just hope Milano is still the same guy after his injury
