  1. Sure. Doesn't mean it's not a good upside gamble for the Bills
  2. I mean sure it is a gamble per se, but when you look at the Bills predicament it is impossible for me to disapprove. A one year deal for a guy with the highest upside on the market, and if it doesn't work the Bills are not hamstrung long term. If it fails we're in the same place we were before. And none of this precludes us from drafting another edge in the first 3 rounds
  3. For those who disapprove, who on the market would be better in your estimation, outside of trading for Hendrickson which is probably not even a realistic possibility?
  4. I like it. May not work because of injuries, but can't hate on a 1 year deal for a guy with his talent. It's easy to forget Bosa is only 29
  5. Gardner Johnson is inconsistent, but he did have 6 picks last year. Nothing to sneeze at
  6. If anyone can, it would be the Eagles
  7. S CJ Gardner-Johnson for G Kenyon Green straight up. Can't say I understand this one from an Eagles perspective. Green has been one of the worst offensive lineman in football
  8. I like it a lot. Palmer just makes plays period every time I've watched him. Still just 25 as well
  9. There will be ripple effects among players who were already angling for more money. The Metcalf contract is laughable imo and sure to stir up some drama. Look at the Bengals alone - both Chase and Higgins are far superior players and now this contract is thrown into the pot.
  10. Maybe. But that's not a very compelling reason
  11. DK Metcalf is not a #1 wide receiver and never has been. He is a bit of a one trick pony. I don't think that either of these points are arguable. Not understanding why I should be upset about not trading a second and ponying up 30 million a year for someone of his caliber.
  12. Awful trade by the now consistently mediocre Pittsburgh Steelers. Metcalf is not close to being worth that money
  13. I can just imagine the number of 3 yard passes he would catch in this offense. 108 catches for 632 yards
  14. Yeah he's basically a 30 year old injury prone gadget guy who you will probably get 10 games out of. Good player in the past and could fit in Kingsbury's offense, and a 5th isn't a massive amount to part with. But I'm not a fan of his at this point
  15. Godchaux is a 3-4 guy. Don't see how this is a fit
  16. I mean it does help that half of his catches are at the line of scrimmage. I like Shakir but he is a nice player, not even close to being a game breaker.
  17. Obvious snub and I agree with your post. I personally envisioned Dolac as a 5th round prospect with an opportunity to move up slightly if he tested well. The guy can flat out ball, both in run support and coverage. He may not be a stud in the NFL, but there should definitely be a place for him
  18. Jim Kelly for offensive coordinator anyone?
  19. I just can't get on board with this possiblity, and I am more than a little surprised at the level of support it seems to have. Holland's play has declined since his rookie year and he is known to have nagging injury issues. Safety is not a position where it makes sense to have a premium investment, especially after using a 2nd rounder just last year. This isn't Ed Reed in his prime or some sort of outlier. I am fine with a more affordable free agent option or mid round pick and let that person compete with Rapp and Bishop. Under no circumstances should Hamlin have a role, even as a backup. That experiment needs to end. He was, along with Elam, the worst player on the entire field in the AFC Championship game.
  20. Since 3 years ago when both Poyer and Hyde were still playing at a very high level??? And we gave up 42 to KC regardless. Handing out 60 million to any safety, let alone Jevon Holland, would be an absolutely disastrous decision.
  21. All I know is the key to stopping Mahomes is not built on your safeties. For as good as Hyde and Poyer were, we still were shredded defensively when it mattered the most. If you don't affect the quarterback nothing else will matter. I also find it telling that many Miami fans do not think highly of Holland. I've seen him get exposed in coverage plenty of times over the years. He is good sideline to sideline in pursuit but is not worth anywhere near the money that is being discussed. I would actually be pretty mad if the Bills spent big on this guy.
  22. I agree, and I also don't think Holland is as good as his reputation seems to be. Would rather use resources elsewhere
  23. Off topic, but I like how every year people say the commercials are getting worse when in reality they have sucked moose balls for decades
  24. I can't wait to hear the future discussions in the media about this. They'll say "Jalen Hurts has a ring" and use it as a cudgel against other players far superior to him. He's better than Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer at least
