No, the Jags and Panthers both came in the league in 1995 and they both made the Championship game in their 2nd year. It has to be the quickest 2 expansion teams have ever done that. The Jags I remember in 1999, went 14-2, got swept by the Titans in the regular season, they got the 1 seed and then lost to the Titans again in the Championship game that year. They had 3 losses all to the Titans, which was crazy. But yeah, the Jags got good quick

#1 defense in the league in 98 and 99. You're right, we had a Super Caliber team both of those years
-
It does. Thanks for catching that. What the hell? I'll add another video onto the post. I added the 2nd half of the game from another video on the post

I didn't think Flutie was that bad in 99 and he was actually very good in the 5 games he played in in 2000. He outplayed Johnson very well in 2000 and got the shaft in 2001 when they kept Johnson over him in my opinion. But yes, 98 was a fun year My childhood as well. I was 12 years old when this game was played. It was actually blacked out on local TV and my friend had a bday party at Adventure Speedway that day but they had the game on the radio and I remember being more focused on that than the bday party lol. At one point they shut the radio off for some reason and my friends dad went out to the car to listen to the final 2 minutes and came back in and told us the Bills won. I couldn't wait to get home and see the highlights but yeah, I wish I could have been at that game

Continuing with my weekly thread of posting old Bills games against upcoming opponents where we are playing them the coming week. I am going with the Jaguars at Bills from 1998. Obviously, this upcoming game is in London and not in Buffalo but it is a "home" game for the Bills so, this is the one the one to go with. This may be the best Jags vs Bills games in the existence of games vs these 2 teams as we have had some nightmare games against the Jaguars for whatever reason. This Bills game into this game at 2-3 on a 2 game win streak after an 0-3 start. The Jags came in at 5-0 and were hot to start the season. This was Doug Flutie's first ever start as a Bill taking over for Rob Johnson who got hurt the week before and we all remember how this one ends...a Flutie bootleg TD run on 4th and goal from the 1 yard line. A great game sealing moment in Bills history. If you have any memories or you were there to experience that last TD in person, feel free to post. But here it is. Sit back and enjoy and as always......Go Bills!!! It was brought to my attention this video ends right before the final drive. So here is the 2nd half of the game with the final drive. The first video must have been posted by a Jags fan lol

Went to bed 1-4. Woke up 3-1. I don't think he minds

Kyle Orton: Why doesn't he get a little ex-Bill love?
Buffalo03 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think he wants anything to do with football. I think he put all that behind him. We had to coax him out of retirement to come back and I believe he only did so for the money. The way he just bolted out of that locker room after the season basically said it all -
That is awesome lol. He now knows about his Uncle scaring him to death during a Bills game. I'm sure that's happen to many lol

The Flutie game is a nice memory. I will be choosing that game in my "upcoming opponents where we are playing them" game videos I post every Saturday. But all those other games are absolutely brutal. And things I would love to erase from memory. I remember just being speechless in a bad way on that season opening loss in 04. That was ridiculous. And the Urban Meyer game in 2021 probably being the worst
-
Well hey, if they don't want to, don't encourage them
-
We have played them 18 times and the record is dead even at 9-9. We have scored 374 points against them. They have scored 369. We have had hard time against them for whatever reason. Even when they have sucked

Tre White Injury Updates (Torn Achilles now confirmed)
Buffalo03 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't know which or how many DBs have had a torn Achilles so I couldn't tell you. I just know many players that have torn it have come back from it and been fine. People said the same thing about his ACL tear. I think people that say things like this don't want him to come back. One guy was quick to point out right after the injury happened that he was done as a Bill. Why don't we see what actually happens first? I guarantee he busts his a** to make it back -

Players come back from Achilles teats all the time. Why couldn't he come back? -

Maybe that is a glimmer of hope of good news. I feel as though it would have been reported already -

McDermott seems like an overly safe guy. He will probably have White on PUP to start the season next year and then wait until week 10 to play him again -
What's wrong with Mahomes? No one does this against the Jets D....right?
-
He got the D to bite on one of our 1st and 10 play action TDs but that was after like 15 straight 1st a 10 run plays lol
-
He gets a little too carried away with 1st and 10 runs, though. Other than that, great play calling

There was a report he had an MRI at the stadium during the game. I feel like they should know by now -

Mike Florio never said anything about the Tre White injury a little bit ago when he was on football night in America. Usually he will point out guys that will be out for the season or miss significant time. I don't know if he forgot to report it but I kinda hoping that could mean a small chance of good news for him. Although unlikely
