Yes, I'm referring to overall

Depending on how long the play takes, they may not be able to get up to the line in time to spike it. The odds of completing a 30 yard pass down the field is harder than hitting little 10 yard sideline routed that only take 3 seconds off the clock. If they still have a chance at a Hail Mary, so be it. I'd rather not give them 5 plays, I'd rather only give them 1 or maybe 2
-
With only 20 seconds left and deep in their own territory, I don't care about a 30 yard throw in the middle of the field. By the time they get up there to spike the ball, it would take up a significant amount of time. Better than letting them complete 10 yard sideline passes all the way up the field and stopping the clock

I don't know why they don't do this. I said the same thing in the Giants game 2 weeks ago. Play the f*cking sideline. Leave the middle of the field completely open and play far back. They only have 21 seconds. They have to score a TD. Let them have the short middle stuff or even the 15 yard middle stuff. Just keep them in bounce

Bills fans cheering for the Pats on Sunday?
Buffalo03 replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can't do it. I'd rather the Dolphins win this week and then lose to KC next week -
Yeah, Dorsey stopped attacking but McDermott calls timeouts at the worst times. Like when he does it to see what the opponent comes out in. That's completely irrelevant because they can easily regroup and come out in something completely different. And then they can pick up the first down anyways. Or if we have a 3rd and 15 and we call a TO to prevent delay of game. 3rd and 15 is already difficult enough to get. Does 3rd and 20 make any real difference? Just take delay of game and save the timeouts in the 2nd half. The first half, isn't as bad because there is a whole other half of football. If I'm head coach, I'm saving my timeouts in the 2nd half for inside the 2 minute warning or as close to it as possible. They are way to crucial to be blowing in the 3rd quarter to see what the other team is coming out in

How is he playing on that ankle? If you're gonna say his body is breaking down, he should be showing signs of slowing down. He has injuries and is still an all pro TE lol Ok. But it's pointless if he is still playing at an all pro level. That would be like saying Diggs's body is breaking down but he still has 100 catch, 1500 yard seasons. If you're gonna make that argument, they should be showing signs of it

I understand that. But I also look at a coach that broke a 17 year playoff drought and changed the culture, 5 playoff seasons in 6 years, 3 straight division titles and Ironically, most issues have occurred after Daboll left. Everything looked easy in 2020 and 2021. Everything has looked much harder the last year and a half. I always felt like he got unfair treatment from a lot of fans too early. People wanted him fired going into last season and after 13 seconds, I get it. But look at everything up to that point and that one loss made fans wanna shove him out the door? and even up to the last 3 or 4 weeks. We were humming for 3 weeks and now are back in a funk. Yes, his timeout usage always has made me wanna rip my hair out and at times, I think he gets a little conservative. But up until the last few weeks, I look at everything else and have always defended him but it is wearing thin
-
I've been one of the biggest defenders. No I don't think that way. I just look at the bigger picture of everything he has done up to this point. The last 3 weeks have started wearing a little thin with me though

McDermott needs balls and stop with the trying to get the defense to jump Offside bs. You're in their territory run a f*cking play

Love this no huddle

No, you set a system and you draft players that fit that system. You don't go drafting 3-4 players for a 4-3 system or vice versa. And then any player you draft or sign from that point on is supposed to be a system fit. You don't get a player that doesn't fit and then change everything to fit that one players skill set

Who was pushing him? Most of that play happened before McCaffrey came in at the end -
I also remember the Tre White forced fumble. I screamed in excitement at my TV as well lol

Yep only 2 times. They have only played each other 12 times and the first 8 were all in Tampa. Kind of weird This wasn't the Edwards game. That was the 2009 game

It's Bills game day on a short week after a dreadful loss to the lowly Patriots but I am continuing on with posting old games against upcoming opponents where we are playing them the coming week, I am going with the Buccaneers at Bills from 2017. The Buccaneers have only played in Buffalo twice in their history which is crazy to me. The Bills have won both matchups. The first time was in 2009, the TO year. I was at that game. I remember TO catching his first TD as a Bill while being there. I decided not to go with the Leftwich lead Buccaneers against the Edwards lead Bills and a Dick Jauron coached team for this week. I will save that for next time. The 2nd game here against them in 2017 was the better game. Tyrod lead the Bills and Winston Lead the Buccaneers in a game that came down to the wire. It was McDermott's first year and it was also in the year we broke the drought which makes it more appealing. My biggest memory of the game was a rookie Tre'Davious White forcing a fumble in the final minutes which lead to the game winning field goal by Haushka. I found the 8 minute condensed game highlights online since the full game wasn't available. Feel free to post any memories you have about this game. And let's hope this is the week we right the ship. Enjoy and as always.....Go Bills

In his defense, he had a 100 catch season 2 years ago before McDaniels got there
