  1. The 2 teams that are the biggest issue are the Bengals and the Broncos due to the head to head on us. If we win tonight and next week and the Broncos drop just one game, they can't catch us. And the Bengals have to drop 2 of their next 3. Also would help if the Texans lose 2 of 3 as well. I believe but am not positive that we could have a playoff spot clinched going into week 18 of we win the next 2, The Broncos lose 1, the Bengals and Texans lose both of their games. None of those 3 teams would be able to catch us at that point. I believe this would put us in a game against Miami where we can either win the division with a win or get the 6th or 7th seed with a loss. While possible, is unlikely however and it would be best to just win out. Let's go Bills Why the Texans over Browns? I would much rather have the Texans lose. Knock another team down out of the wild card race. The Browns pretty much have theirs locked up. Also, root for the Jags to win their division. They have the head to head on us
  2. Continuing on with old games against upcoming opponents where we are playing them the coming week. I am going with Bills at Chargers from 1981. I'm not gonna lie, there isn't a whole lot I know about this game but this is the last time we have beaten the Chargers on the road. I was born in 1986 so this game was before my time. It has been a house of horrors for us to play them on the road ever since this game whether in San Diego or LA. We have lost 6 straight times and 4 of those losses have been by 27 points or more. The most recent one being the Nathan Peterman disaster. This should be one that the old timers should enjoy as I am sure they can shed a little more light as to what was at steak during this game and some details from it. The graphics look like a tecmo bowl game lol. Hopefully we break a 42 year drought of not beating the Chargers on the road tonight. The playoffs are on the line and these next few games are gonna be tense but one game at a time. Merry Christmas to all of you and let's hope Santa brings us an early Christmas win to enjoy the rest of the weekend. And a late Christmas present of making the playoffs in a few weeks. As always....Go Bills
  3. On a team that went 16-0 the year before and an extremely easy schedule
  4. I'm pretty sure I saw if the Bengals lose Saturday before we play and we win, we would be in a playoff spot and no matter what the other outcomes are in the other games, we don't fall out of it. We can fall from 6th to 7th but won't lose a spot. From there, just keep winning
  5. While possible, that's a lot to happen to not make it if we win out. The odds of all that happening is slim
  6. He has played well, but he isn't the better player of the two. He's an average RB that is thriving in his roll but he isn't as explosive as Gibbs is. I promise you, this has nothing to do with me being a "salty fantasy owner". It's my observation from watching both players play. There should never be full drives where Gibbs isn't on the field and that happens all the time. It's like Green Bay. They have always misused Aaron Jones. There should be no reason for AJ Dillon to be in on full 10 play or 12 play drives but it happens all the time
  7. Monty is an average RB who gets like 20 carries a game and a few catches and all the goal line work when Gibbs the much better player gets only 15 touches in some games and doesn't even get thrown to in some games when he is dynamic our of the backfield. He has not been used properly. And like I stated to someone else in this thread already, I'd be willing to bet there is a chance Monty isn't even on the team next year. Primarily because he is nothing more than average
  8. Why wouldn't they? What difference does it make if it's a first round pick or a 5th round pick?
  9. In what way? Who do you think the better RB is? I'd be willing to bet there's a chance that Montgomery isn't even on the team next year and there's a reason for that You "ease" the more explosive 12th overall pick all season long? When the 2 are playing, Gibbs is clearly the better player
  10. Not the point. You can clearly see who the better RB is and they don't use him properly
  11. A guy that doesn't even know how to use his RBs properly? The way Jahmyr Gibbs has been used all season long is criminal. I get easing him in but by game 5 or 6, he should have been rolling but for some reason, this guy and Campbell have major hard ons for Montgomery
  12. Yeah, but that has nothing to do with the game. That was also was the opening game of the year against the defending Super Bowl champions. Kind of different situations
  13. San Diego/LA has been a house of horrors for the Bills. I believe we haven't beaten the Chargers on the road since 1981 The last 6 road matchups against them have been Loss by 33 Loss by 2 Loss by 3 Loss by 38 Loss by 27 Loss by 30 And the fact that it's a short week on the west coast to a team that has just made a head coaching change and may be ready to play hard, this could be a difficult game. We should win but I am just slightly nervous about it. I hope we come out on fire
  14. I mean, it makes sense. Why does it only apply to first rounders?
  15. Why doesn't the NFL allow the 5th year option on any player you draft? Someone may not hit on a first round pick but nail a 2nd or 3rd rounder that they would like to hang on to, I feel like they should be able to do so. This would allow us to keep Epenesa next year at a possible discount and would make it easier to possibly also retain Floyd
  16. I get it's the principle. But I also feel like it's childish. You're gonna miss out on a Bills game because you don't wanna pay $5? Stupid
  17. Denver is the biggest team to worry about. We are one game ahead but with them having the tiebreaker over us, we could us one more loss so even with us getting one more loss, they wouldn't be able to catch us
  18. The Texans are gonna be without Stroud again this week and play the Browns. That could be one loss right there. The Bengals are without Jamaar Chase for a couple weeks and play the Steelers, Chiefs and Browns. You don't think they can lose 2 of those games?
  19. And you don't think it's possible that 2 of those 4 mediocre teams lose 2 of their next 3?
  20. All I heard was a leg fracture. I remember thinking it was a season ACL but he never had ligament damage and McDermott even going back to that time never said for certain he was out for the year. He still doesn't say for certain he isn't coming back just that it's not likely
  21. There doesn't need to be 3 Miami losses. We can get in at 10-7 with a loss to Miami with other teams dropping some games
  22. I still don't know why Milano can't be ready if we get in the playoffs. How long does it take for a fractured leg to heal? He did it in week 5, it's week 16. It's 11 weeks since the injury and another 3 added on in the next 3 games, I would think he could be somewhat ready by playoff time if we get there
  23. I played around with the playoff machine and got us in at 10-7 with a loss to Miami. Denver is the biggest team in the way of it and they only need to lose one more. I had 2 different scenarios of us getting a 7th seed with the Bengals in 6th. I do agree that the easiest and best path is winning out and taking the division but there are other paths
  24. We can make it with one loss if a couple teams stumble
