  1. I played around with the NYT playoff machine last night during the Ravens and Bengals game. The Bills have a better chance than is being portrayed. I think a lot of the "slim" talk is their schedule more than anything. I found a scenario where we could go 10-7 with losses to both the Eagles and Chiefs and still get in as a wild card. We most certainly have to go 5-2 or better to make it happen but our playoff chances honestly are not as bad as they are made out to be
  2. Why isn't Xavier worthy? What did he do to make himself unworthy? Is there anything he can do to make himself worthy in your eyes?
  3. Thursday night games have been fine the last few years. I feel like people are just not past the fact that Thursday night games used to suck when they first started. I think some of the matchups have still sucked like Panthers and Bears last week, but the quality has been much better
  4. This is gotta be the weirdest year of football I have seen in a while. The Bills have been great the past few years and are 5-5 right now. The Bengals were in the Championship game the last 2 years and they are 5-5. Meanwhile, the Colts, Texans, Steelers, Browns and Raiders are all 5-5 or better. It's weird
  5. I'm aware. I'm just saying considering the teams in front of us, I think we are better than any of them. The Raiders, Colts, Browns now with Watson gone, I am really not worried about any of those teams. Our schedule sucks but if we somehow turn this around, we should clearly be considered the favorite of any of those teams to get in. Even without a division title
  6. I don't care about that. Look at the teams ahead of us. The Raiders, Colts, Steelers, Browns with Watson gone? Come on. We got a shot
  7. Ravens. Why is this even a question? A loss knocks the Bengals down to 5-5 with a 1-5 conference record. Yes, they have the head to head against us but any loss the Bengals can get helps, considering I think the Ravens are the team most likely to win the division anyway. We are currently 10th in the AFC right now. We can actually very brifely move up to 8th with a win, a Raiders loss and a Bengals loss The odds aren't great but they aren't long shots.
  8. Lmao. You made it sound as though he may still fire McDermott during the season simply because he has done it before with Rex and when I point out reasons why I don't think he will with McDermott because the situations are different, you say that none of it is pertinent? Lol
  9. What exactly did Rex Ryan do in the 2 years he was here? He brought in talent and and did nothing with it. Ryan was a buffoon, that was clear to see. Plus, I don't think Ryan had the role McD does. This is McD's show. I don't think Ryan really had that kind of power. Also, McDermott has a playoff drought break, multiple playoff seasons and 3 division titles under his belt. Not the same situation
  10. Does it really matter? They're the owners. Whether they do or not. We have to deal with them lol I think this is a very different situation, though
  11. The offense was better last year but still struggled compared to prior years. Ever since the beginning of last season, everything has looked twice as hard for them. And it just got a lot worse recently
  12. Could be more of Dorsey's offensive scheme
  13. College coaches only work in the NFL when they have certain personalities. Jimmy Johnson was the perfect example. He was the type of coach the NFL wants before he came to the NFL. He fit the mold perfectly. Not many college head coaches come right into the NFL and have success
  14. I have always liked Sal. I still do. He is actually my favorite person to listen to. But he defends the Bills a little too much and gets annoyed when people come at him with criticism of McDermott
  15. This is my thing with McDermott. Am I ok with firing him after the season? Yes. However, is this the type of team you want a first time head coach with? Like a Kellen Moore or something? I'd almost rather go with a coach with past HC experience that has had playoff success. Jim Cladwell is a guy I'm surprised doesn't get more attention. The guy was the last coach I believe to take the Lions to the playoffs TWICE in a 4 year time frame. That alone, is magnificent lol
  16. Few? As in 16?
  17. The Bills are a good team not playing well. Please just stop this garbage
  18. While I agree with this, the Cowboys this season are kind of like the Dolphins of the NFC. They are absolutely demolishing the bad teams and struggling against good ones. Though they did lose to the Cardinals earlier this year. They also got trounced by the 49ers and lost to the Eagles as well. So, if there is a good team we can beat out of Philly, The Chiefs and them? It would be the Cowboys
  19. I still think there is a legit shot he isn't. This offense is just broken. It has been all season, it started last year. It wasn't gonna get fixed with him. I think McDermott sort of already had his mind made up before the Broncos game
  20. We understand this. I think everyone does. But the offense has clearly been off since last season when Dorsey took over. Make this step first. See what happens. McDermott knows he is next
  21. No, but the offense has clearly been off all season. Dorsey was a huge problem. We will soon see if he was the main problem
  22. McDermott wanted to wait until the season was over. Makes sense. Why not do it earlier when you had the chance?
  23. We lost because the Broncos kicker missed a kick and got to rekick it because of a ridiculous 12 men on the field penalty. Had that not happened, the final score would have been 22-21 Bills. I hate to break that to you
  24. Last night hurts. If you want me to say McDermott should be fired, fine. But no, the drought teams were not more fun to watch
