No one said that championship games were the goal. The point is, the guy had more success with Mediocre QBs than McDermott has had with a generational QB. He made 5 NFC championship games and a Super Bowl with McNabb who was average. He had playoff success with Alex Smith who was even farther below McNabb. He still had a ton of success. In my opinion, he may be the best coach in NFL history. Belichick hasn't done a damn thing without Brady going back to his days in Cleveland and Reid had multiple playoff seasons and a Super appearance without Mahomes.

The only other one was Manning in 2004. He had 53 TDs and only got to the divisional round

The Chiefs did make the championship round that year. They lost to the Patriots in that game so that would not be the other one

Yes, the offense was the one giving up 7 yards a pop to Pacheco. Freaking offense needs to play better

Yes, the Chiefs were lucky that we didn't keep doing what worked all night long on offense. Which was taking what they gave us and going down the field. If Allen hits Diggs underneath, keeps running clock, and we get into the endzone with little time left, odds are we win the game. The Chiefs were also lucky we were missing Bernard and Benford which would have made a little bit of a difference. Bottom line, yes. This team should have won last night and could have beaten Baltimore as well as either the 49ers or Lions. You're telling me they couldn't?

Why couldn't they win it all? You do realize all it takes is to get to the playoffs and have some luck, right? I understand this wasn't our best team. But they absolutely should have won that game last night and absolutely could have beaten the Ravens and either one of the 49ers or Lions. We were good enough to do it. I think you're looking too deep into this. There have been many teams that have won Super Bowls that probably weren't as good as other teams that should have

It's amazing that fans still think after one regime losing 4 straight Super Bowls, another having the music city miracle, a bunch more missing the playoffs for nearly 20 years and then getting another regime that makes it every year just to lose in the divisional round is some how gonna go win one with the next guy. Andy Reid went to 5 championship games and a Super Bowl in Philly. He just got unlucky in those championship games. The guy went to 4 in a row there, I believe. We can't even get that. The guy also had tons of success with Alex Smith. He was still better than McDermott at this point. It's not like Mahomes made Reid

I understand eventually we have to score. That's not lost on me. But I would rather score with as close to one minute left as possible and try to have Mahomes drive down with only one minute of time instead of nearly 2 whole minutes

Ok. But you still take the clock down as far as possible and TRY for a TD. Then if it doesn't work. Kick the field goal. This isn't hard. You can't let Mahomes have that kind of time Stop being afraid? What did the defense the whole game that said we would stop Mahomes with 1:55 left?

No one said to play for overtime but take the clock down and score a TD so that Mahomes had to drive the whole length of the field with very little time left

If the 49ers lose this game. It will be either the Lions, Buccs or Packers in the Super Bowl for the NFC. I don't see the Buccs getting past the Lions, so we could be seeing Packers at Lions next week. Who would have thought that could have even been possible? I know the 49ers can still win but they look rough right now

And they played the Texans. The Texans even if they won, no matter who they played next week were gonna get rocked

So, Elevating AJ Klein has to mean that Bernard isn't going. Not that I expected Bernard to play. Or maybe just incase Bernard can't play the whole game, they have Klein up just in case

And when Benford, possibly Bernard and a few other players aren't out there, we can still this?
