You don't fire McDermott until he loses the locker room. When a coach has had success like McDermott has, you keep him until the players give up on him. That has not happened yet. This team respects him and plays like Hell for him. They would run through a wall for him. That's tough to replace. Look at the way they rallied around him last year after the Tyler Dunne hit piece. The last thing you want is a coach to come in here that the players don't like and don't respect along with another whole coaching staff. That's not gonna solve anything and could make for a toxic team environment. No one ever thinks about this. When McDermott loses the locker room, make the move. Until then, he shouldn't be going anywhere
