  1. I mean the whole game in totality. Are we really gonna argue over 2 drives that we got lucky enough to not give up 7 or 8 yards a play? The only 2 drives that we gave up nothing on was that fumble out of the endzone which again, had a 35 yard run play to get down there and then one other defensive drive to stop them. Were you watching something else. It was back and forth all game for both offenses. We had the lead at halftime 17-13. What did the Chiefs do the first drive I. The second half? They scored a TD in like 7 plays. The next Chiefs drive, you guessed it another TD. The Chiefs only had to attempt 5 3rd downs all night long because most of the time they were getting enough yardage on first and second down to not need a 3rd down. If you are ok with the night our defense had, getting no pass rush, missing multiple starters and getting gashed MOSTLY all night and giving Mahomes 1:55 and 2 timeouts to work with, I have to question your sanity
  2. I would say scheme. After watching that Kurt Warner study ball video of the game, the are big problems with scheme and not having a good WR 2 is also a factor
  3. How many picks would it take to get Marvin Harrison, Jr?
  4. Yes... all night. You're gonna refer to one play that got lucky enough to go out of the endzone? Do you remember the play right before that? Pacheco had like a 35 yard run that got them down to the 1 yard line and then we got lucky enough o get the ball out of the endzone. The whole game prior to that drive and even after that drive, we couldn't stop them. What was the next play for the Chiefs after bass missed? It was a Pacheco run for 8 yards. Wanna know what the next play was? Another Pacheco run for a first down and it was ball game. We should have taken the easy shots we took on offense all game and drained down more clock
  5. I completely understand what you mean. But how many regimes do we have to go through before we find the one that wins it all. We had 4 super bowl losses under one regime, the music city miracle under another regime. A 17 year drought with a bunch of others and now the current regime can't get past the divisional round with a generational talent at QB. Not saying we shouldn't fire McDermott but in 5 years, you will he here saying the same thing about the next regime. We aren't winning anything. It's time to accept that
  6. No he didn't. The Chiefs were moving the ball at will all night long getting 7 or 8 yards a play. Had Shakir caught that for a TD, it would have put us up by 4 and Mahomes having 1:55 on the clock to go down the field and score. If that TD put us up by 7, then I can agree because then it would be at worse a tie game with a KC score. If our defense had shown something all game, it would have been ok. We showed no sign of being able to stop it if KC got the ball with that much time left. The best thing would have been to keep taking underneath routes and possibly make them burn timeouts. Run it down to under a minute and then try for some end zone shots. I know nothing is guaranteed but at worst, a field goal from Bass would have been a lot a closer than the 44 yarder he had to make in those terrible windy conditions. That's the problem with our team. We don't stick with what works that often. The dink and dunk worked the whole game on their defense and then when we really to take more time off the clock, we took a shot. We should have taken more time off and got as close as possible to take better shots or then go for a closer field goal
  7. I like how you think that after one regime having 4 consecutive Super Bowl losses, the next regime having one of the worst playoff losses ever in the music city miracle, a bunch of other regimes not making the playoffs for 17 years and now the current regime having a generational talent at QB and still can't get over the hump that you think letting the current head coach go will all of a sudden make things change. It will never happen. Go ahead and fire McDermott. In 5 years you will wanna get rid of the next guy for the exact same thing
  8. You can kinda see why Diggs hasn't really done much. They are making him do very simple concepts. I feel like they used him differently a couple years ago. A lot of what Diggs is running are little curls, slants, screens. They aren't really asking him to do much and when they do, it seems like the WRs are kind of all bunched together. I don't fully blame Diggs
  9. Right. I'm not saying we would have, but we definitely could have. We probably would have only been 3 point underdogs in that game. Apparently the OP of this thread thinks we would be 10 or 15 point underdogs lol. We are a very hard team to beat. We beat ourselves most weeks. Probably more than most teams. And if we played to our potential every week and cleaned that up, we would literally only lose maybe 2 or 3 games a season. We should have been 14-3 this season if we didn't blow the Jets, Patriots and Broncos games
  10. The point is that the Bills COULD HAVE advanced. Just like the Chiefs did and can beat the Ravens just like the Chiefs can. If the Chiefs come out and play like crap this week, does that mean that they can't beat them if they execute or don't execute? Every team has mishaps. Even the best teams I have seen. The Chiefs are very vulnerable but can be beaten. We absolutely could have beaten every team left. It's about being better that day. Unfortunately, we weren't when it counted. It doesn't mean we couldn't have been. Have you ever looked at a 5th or 6th seed and thought "they can win a championship"? The Steelers did it in 05, the Giants did it in 07. The 2000 Ravens had absolutely no offense to speak of and won a title. We have the team that can win it all. We just have to be on top of our game in the crucial moments. We just didn't this week.
  11. I think he installed some of his own offense. Not a full thing but some of the offense was his
  12. Yes. They could have. If they won last night, they absolutely could have beaten the Ravens or either one of the NFC teams. Forget about the execution part of it and just look at talent alone. I believe we were better than the Chiefs but we didn't play like it last night. Execution can be corrected, talent can't. Let me ask you, have you looked at the Chiefs at any point this season and said "that's a team that can win a title right there"? A team that has looked dreadful and had a hard time scoring and had a bad loss to the Raiders on Christmas Day where they got man handled. Guess what...they're right back to being one game away from the Super Bowl again. I never thought ince this season that the Chiefs were a better team than us. They are beatable and had we executed like we should have, would have beaten them like we should have.
  13. Brady did kinda implement his own system. I haven't seen us run as much as we have since the bye week. Daboll has more of a pass heavy system
  14. No one said that championship games were the goal. The point is, the guy had more success with Mediocre QBs than McDermott has had with a generational QB. He made 5 NFC championship games and a Super Bowl with McNabb who was average. He had playoff success with Alex Smith who was even farther below McNabb. He still had a ton of success. In my opinion, he may be the best coach in NFL history. Belichick hasn't done a damn thing without Brady going back to his days in Cleveland and Reid had multiple playoff seasons and a Super appearance without Mahomes.
  15. The only other one was Manning in 2004. He had 53 TDs and only got to the divisional round
  16. The Chiefs did make the championship round that year. They lost to the Patriots in that game so that would not be the other one
  17. Yes, the offense was the one giving up 7 yards a pop to Pacheco. Freaking offense needs to play better
  18. Get ready for it. Because we will have a bunch of guys hurt again next year. It happens every damn season
  19. Yes, the Chiefs were lucky that we didn't keep doing what worked all night long on offense. Which was taking what they gave us and going down the field. If Allen hits Diggs underneath, keeps running clock, and we get into the endzone with little time left, odds are we win the game. The Chiefs were also lucky we were missing Bernard and Benford which would have made a little bit of a difference. Bottom line, yes. This team should have won last night and could have beaten Baltimore as well as either the 49ers or Lions. You're telling me they couldn't?
  20. Why couldn't they win it all? You do realize all it takes is to get to the playoffs and have some luck, right? I understand this wasn't our best team. But they absolutely should have won that game last night and absolutely could have beaten the Ravens and either one of the 49ers or Lions. We were good enough to do it. I think you're looking too deep into this. There have been many teams that have won Super Bowls that probably weren't as good as other teams that should have
  21. We would. But the result would be the same. It's amazing that fans still think after one regime losing 4 straight Super Bowls, another having the music city miracle, a bunch more missing the playoffs for nearly 20 years and then getting another regime that makes it every year just to lose in the divisional round is some how gonna go win one with the next guy. Lol. We can fire McDermott but the results will stay the same
  22. Why are we even talking about this? McDermott isn't going anywhere unless he resigns and that's not gonna happen
  23. Would they have? I don't know. Could they have? Absolutely
