  1. Is it sad that this dude is better than Elam?
  2. How about $100 in a card? Think they can use it?
  3. I'd sign Diggs personally. Dude's a baller
  4. He's still in the league? I can imagine that call Laviska: Hello Beane: Laviska, Brandon Beane of the Buffalo Bills. How are you? Laviska: Sitting on the couch eating oreos. Is this for real?
  5. Picking in the back 5 picks every year also is part of it. You don't typically find top 5 players in the backend of the draft
  6. I'm so sick of the "the winning team through 3 quarters played a better game" argument. There's 4 quarters. If that same team that dominated for 3 quarters that's up 28 let's them back in the game in the 4th quarter and score 3TDs to come within a TD, that's their fault. An onside kick needs to travel 10 yards. Guess who's standing exactly 10 yards away with the ball kicked directly at them, the receiving team. The kicking team needs to basically run a whole 10 yards to recover the thing unless they get lucky on a bounce or the receiving team messes up and fumbles it or something. The play heavily favors the receiving team too much. Getting 15 yards on one play still isn't all that easy to accomplish. If the NFL made adjustments on all automatic first down penalties for the offense that the defense commits on that specific instance, it would be fine. Instead of an automatic first down, it's a 5 yard penalty and a do over on 4th down now with a 4th & 10. When you watch your team get back into a game and then know the have a 1% chance of winning on an onside kick, it's crappy. The 4th & 15 at least gives the team some hope and the team that "dominated" all game that let them back into the game has to now stop them. Perfectly fine by me. I get into this argument with the point system in hockey. Why are you getting a point just for going into OT? And people say "well, it's because they played an outstanding game of hockey" who cares? If 2 teams play an outstanding game of football through 4 quarters, does that mean that each team should be granted half a win just by going to OT?
  7. They lowered OT down from 15:00 to 10:00 for "player safety" but then proceeded to add an entire game to the schedule after that. I don't wanna hear about physical nature of the game or "player safety". 15:00 OTs make a lot more sense
  8. This could be the one instance where there is no automatic first down. They can make it to where defensive holding on this particular play is just like a 5 yard difference or something. So, instead of it being 1st & 10, it becomes 4th & 10 and 5 yards closer. The same can be done with PI. It's a 5 yard penalty and a 4th & 10 instead of a spot foul. Or just a redo down but you only get 3 tries. If the defense commits PI or holding. It is a 4th & 15 again. If the defense commits one of those 2 penalties again, then it's a 4th & 10 & 5 yards closer. If the defense does it a 3rd time then it's an automatic 1st down. If the offense commits a penalty then it's a turnover on downs and no 2nd opportunity. There are ways to work around it but to me the onside kick is outdated and just doesn't work anymore. Everything about it favors the receiving team
  9. I really want them to go back to 15:00 OT quarters instead of 10:00. It's stupid and makes no sense. And for the love of God, Eliminate the onside kick. I have been in favor of the 4th & 15 play from the 30 or 35 yard line. The onside kick, especially with the new rules of no surprise onside is just an automatic game over for the kicking team. A 4th & 15 at least gives them a a somewhat better chance
  10. I didn't say to get rid of him. I'm just saying, I don't want to assume Ogunjobi is "depth"
  11. Ok. Let's say we have $5 or $6 million in cap space. If he opens $15 million on ONE restructure, you would think he is trying to get Benford done or getting another big name guy, correct? Considering this would be $21 million now in cap space. If all he does out of that is sign 3 special teamers that take up $1 or $2 million in cap space, and we still have $14 or $15 million left over, it's kind of a waste is what I am saying. He does this frequently
  12. Not what I meant. We have until September when the season starts of course he is gonna sign players. I'm talking about the amount restructured compared to what or how many players are signed and what is left over. But this is all going over your heads so I will let it go
  13. No, that's not what I am talking about. Me paying bills would be the same as Beane paying players and me buying a Playstation would be the equivalent to Beane making a splash move. You never see Beane do this after a restructure. He might sign low tier players that only take $1 or $2 million off the cap or have the money ready incase we have injuries or whatever. But to me opening up $10 million in cap space on one player from a restructure is quite a bit and in my opinion, something that you do if you have your eye on a bigger fish. But often do we ever get that bigger fish? We usually always bargain bin in free agency. We got Bosa this year but that was before the Oliver restructure so let's see what he does with this situation. He's gonna sign more players. But who he signs is what to pay attention to
  14. Not all the time. He has done restructures numerous times the last few years. And most people always say "it's gotta be making room for this player" and usually it's just to open a few million that just sits there. If my memory serves me correctly, I think Zach Ertz may have been one of them when we had that whole rumor mill going. He cleared a couple contracts and all anyone said was "it's gotta be for Ertz" and it ended up just being for money to sign our draft picks or money that has just kinda not had anything done with it
  15. Dude, someone put a meme on here making fun of this very topic a couple of years ago. Like I said, when a restructure is made, and the money just sits there, there are no real examples to give. I can't even remember the players but I assure you, it has happened frequently
  16. I consider that doing nothing with the money. Doing something with the money would be making the most out of it. And I can't necessarily give examples because it's not really something that can be proven. Mainly because nothing was done with the money. I promise you, I know what I'm talking about. Someone even put a meme on here a couple of years ago when he did it twice in one off season and we didn't sign anyone
  17. But that's my point. People always assume it's for some player or resigning and it very rarely is. It's either to become cap compliant or make enough room to sign draft picks
  18. Tons. I don't have them all in front of me. But there have been many times where we have restructured deals to open up cap space and people would say "oh, there's gotta be another signing coming" or "oh, they must be trying to resign this player" and very rarely happens. Most times they were just trying to become cap compliant
  19. I don't know. Beane is the king of restructuring deals and doing nothing with the money
  20. I was really hoping they would part ways with him
  21. Is it possible that they view him as more than just a depth guy?
  22. Are you assuming Carter is gonna be a starter?
  23. What he did before those last 3 years? I mean, it's only a 1 year deal. We had to do something
  24. Nothing gets me more amped for a Super Bowl run than this signing right here. LETS GOOOOOO!!!!
  25. If you don't stop to look around every once in a while, you could miss it
