The Steelers game was over with this play.

He missed a lot of things yesterday. It was very odd -
I was not aware of that. He did things like this all game though. It was strange. I hope it was just rust. There were players that were stuck in trying to get to the game and I wonder if that played a small roll.in things that happened out there

That's what I'm saying. He locked onto the shorter routes constantly. I was actually very surprised that Sanders who's 34 was actually getting open like he was. But it was odd that Allen did throw to double and triple coverage more often than the open man. The 4th and 9 play, he threw about a 25 yard pass down the field to Gabe Davis in triple coverage. My friend was like "he's been throwing short yardage this whole game and now he wants to go down field in triple coverage instead of just getting the first down?" It was very weird what he was doing today

Well, you would think Sanders would have told him in the huddle "yo, look for me" or something. One play when Allen dropped back he had time, looked down field and my friend said "he's got him again" referring to Sanders right down the middle of the field but Allen only looked left for about 2 seconds, rolled to his right and then got sacked. Sanders was visibly frustrated once the play was over. And that was the about the 3rd time he was wide open

Our WRs are fine. And I'm not saying Allen was fully to blame for the loss, but he missed wide open WRs down field not just by being off target but not even looking at them numerous times. I was at the game and I can tell you about 4 different times, when he had time to throw that Emmanuel Sanders was wide open down the field and he immediately checked it down to Beasley or threw a quick slant to Diggs. He had one play where he only threw about a 4 or 5 yard pass and Singletary was on an island by himself about 40 yards downfield and didn't even look at him at all. Allen was not the full problem today but he was part of it by not looking off the short routes underneath

Will Gabe Davis ever challenge the #1 WR spot?

While Diggs is here? No. But just being a solid number 2 is fine -

It's crazy to me actually why we kept Norwood for as long as we did. In his career, he only made 60% of his kicks between 40-49 yards and was only 2-10 from 50+ in his career which is only 20%. I watched something the other day that said before he kicked that FG in the Super Bowl that he was 1-5 in 40+ yards on grass fields. When we cut him after the 91 season, he never kicked anywhere again and he was only with the Bills for 7 seasons. That tells me other teams didn't really find him to be that great of a kicker either -

I've always wondered, if we had Christie instead of Norwood in that first Super Bowl, is that kick good? I think it is. Like you said, Christie very rarely missed in the clutch. -
I'm saying that with his hair he looks like bushroot and he was like a bad guy to Darkwing in the cartoon and he is treating QBs like Darkwing
-
Stop with this. He isn't getting traded. We have the best backup in the league by far

Bushroot from Darkwing Duck is still bitter after all these years and taking it out on opposing QBs https://images.app.goo.gl/MdwLGrFpxN1P9noK9

From what I remember hearing, Modell was broke because he owed a ton of debts to people and the city of Cleveland and that's why he left. He had to go to 3 different banks to get money to bring Andre Rison there in their final year in that stadium. He wanted out before he had to pay everything he owed. It wasn't just because of the stadium issue.
-
Cleveland was pissed when Modell moved. That stadium was leased for another 2 or 3 years and they were begging for him to stay until the lease ran out. They loved the Browns and would have definitely supplied a new stadium had he stayed the length of it. They broke ground on their stadium now like a year after the other one was torn down. Why would they screw with Modell on a new stadium and willingly build a new one right after he leaves?
-
Cleveland moved because of Art Modell. Not because their stadium was getting old. And Soldier Field and Lambeau field are looked at as historical landmarks. That's why they're still standing. They're older than our stadium is. Our stadium is looked at just another stadium. Lambeau Field and Soldier Field will stand another 100 years because of that
