  1. My friend got married on a Sunday during football season in 2016. It was actually the day of the Cardinals vs Bills game that the Bills won. While taking wedding photos outside the church I was checking my phone repeatedly for score updates. I remember being annoyed when I was stuck at a wedding while the Bills were up 17-0 at one point during the game. My other friend even called me "immature" because I was looking at the score repeatedly. My response to him was "how about not getting married on a freaking Sunday in September during football season?" I also refuse to work a job that works weekends because I won't miss a Bills game
  2. I know about mixing generations of RBs. I did that intentionally. I did point out quite a few RBs that have been drafted recently though like McCaffery, Gurley, Elliott, and even guys in the last 15 to 20 years like Tomlinson and AP. Those guys are huge differences compared to a RB you draft in the 4th round. I feel like if you want a difference making, game breaking and speed type back that you need to find that guy in the first and maybe 2nd rounds. And again, I also feel like there is a difference between drafting a first round RB when you are a losing team as opposed to when you are a SB caliber team.
  3. I mean, think about it, what would "The Greatest Show on Turf" have been like without Marshall Faulk? They wouldn't have been that without him. It makes a difference
  4. Let me just say, I agree with you to a degree. If we were a rebuilding team that went 3-13 instead of 13-3 then I would definitely say RB in round 1 is really stupid. Like the Giants did with Barkley which clearly didn't make sense when they needed a QB. But our offense literally needs a game breaking RB and a good TE from being fully dominant. It's almost there already. We have drafted RBs in the 3rd round each of the last two years and how has that worked out? Zach Moss, I'm not necessarily giving up hope that he can be a really good player yet but I'm pretty sure we know what we have in Singletary at this point. And neither guy is really a guy that can change a game or has game breaking speed. To me, there is a clear difference between the RBs you draft in Round 1 as opposed to after. Tomlinson, AP, Elliot, McCaffery, Barkley, Gurley, Barry Sanders, Emmitt, Marshall Faulk. Those guys are or were difference makers for their teams. You can get guys in other rounds like Gore, Kamara, Aaron Jones, LeSean McCoy, Terrell Davis, Thurman and maybe even luck out on an undrafted guy like Fred Jackson or James Robinson and some others but I feel like the odds of that are a little slimmer. We are in our SB window. There's no point in not taking a difference maker at position of need that can make us even more dynamic because "RBs are a dime a dozen" or a "non sensical 1st round pick". I personally would like a pass rusher with the first pick but have no issue at all with Etienne or Harris at 30 if either player is there. I just don't see the point of drafting another 3rd Round RB that's basically the same as what we already have
  5. Here we go.....gotta love wasting cap space on more special teams players. Thank God we restructured Tre's contract to make this happen
  6. I don't really care for Murphy. I moreso brought it up as a joke
  7. Making space to resign Trent Murphy
  8. That's the funny part. I could actually see Ralph letting Josh walk because he doesn't want to pay the money
  9. I can throw a mean football when I play catch at a park. They can bring me in in 2022
  10. Even if we did back out of the trade, if Howie Roseman gets desperate enough I think he will call Beane again and take less instead of releasing him
  11. Why would Lindsay go to Houston? That whole organization is a dumpster fire. I would have waited it out
  12. What TEs are on our roster now? Hollister, Knox, Sweeney. Can't think of anyone else
  13. Not saying they would but it doesn't hurt to call
  14. I'm basically just trying to say how serious I would be to do that if I were Beane lol
  15. I'm not kidding, I would have given up our 1st round pick this year to San Francisco for Kittle. He only has a $5 million cap hit this year. It goes up a lot next year but that could always be restructured.
  16. I woukd have rather just drafted a guy. I hope this is a Lee Smith replacement and not our Plan B to Ertz
  17. Wasn't he the one that thought when Beane and McDermott pushed back the press conference that it was because they were possibly finalizing the Ertz trade because of the timing of the Chargers signing Jared Cook? Why would he say that if he knew two days beforehand that it wasn't happening? It sounds weird to me
  18. I think it's more just jealousy from people that have kids because they don't get any free time anymore. I'm single and no kids so after a day at work my day is mine to do whatever I want. That's all fine by me
  19. And that's a bad thing? I've never understood why people get snobbish and say "you have way to much time on your hands" like it's gonna make people upset. Lol.
  20. I love this. I have ESPN+ and it says it would basically become $20 a month and we could get all the games. I guess when that happens I can cancel after football season is over and renew when football season starts again
  21. I think anyone who thinks it's gonna be a 6 or 7 year deal is gonna be way off. Beane seems to like the 4 year deals, Dion Dawkins, Tre' White and Matt Milano all got 4 year deals. I think you're gonna see a contract for Allen around what Dak got but a little more. Dak got 4yrs $164 million with $126 million guaranteed. I think Beane gives Allen around 4yrs $185-$190 million with probably around $130-$140 million guaranteed. He might do a 5yr deal. But I don't think he goes above that and I don't think it goes over $200 million
  22. Um....step away from the crack
