This is how the Patriots went to a lot of their Super Bowls. They always had first round byes. They have never made a Super Bowl under Belichick any time they played wild card weekend. But they would seem to luck out quite frequently on their first opponent out of a bye. In 2011, they got Tim Tebow and the 8-8 Broncos after they upset the Steelers in the wild card. There was no chance in hell the Broncos were winning that game

Daboll's play design was a lot better though. I actually thought Dorsey was better yesterday but the thing I have hated from Dorsey this year is that he loves the run the ball on 2nd and long. 2nd and 12 and he runs Singletary and now we have a 3rd and long. That drives me nuts

You have to go to YouTube to watch it because the NFL blocks it, which is very stupid but I thought the 1991 season opener of the Dolphins at Bills shootout was a great choice for this week. I have watched this game on YouTube once before and have seen the highlights numerous times and this was a great game. A great game to start off our second Super Bowl season. With how fascinated Dorsey is with running the ball, I'd expect Allen to be slightly more of a game manager like he has been. Not an Alex Smith type game manager but more of game manager than just flinging it around like he has the last few seasons

Back from when I was 9 years old in 1995. This game was blacked out on TV but I remember listening to it on the radio. I'm glad they lifted the black out rule because that sucked. This game was in the middle of a 5 game win streak this season. This was the 4th in a row. I remember going to Lastertron for a friend's bday party the following week for the Seahawks game lol. If anyone remembers anything about this game or was there and would like to share. As always....Go Bills!!!

You're comparing apples to oranges. Basketball, Hockey and Baseball are all completely different sports. Football is very unique and does the playoff format the right way for the sport

I actually remember watching the last 2 Super Bowls actually. My parents had huge super bowl parties for both and I was 6 and 7 years old. But I have no memory of the first 2 lol

When I first started doing this thread of posting old Bills games against our next opponents where we're playing them the coming week, I asked people if they had any requests and this was one that I got for Bills at Patriots week.
