Why didn't Erie County Bulls tell us about this?

Why do you care about a small rebuild 5 years from now if we get Dhop now and win a Super Bowl or 2 in a 3 year window of having him. Yes, we will understand the ramifications of what it will mean on the cap 5 years down the road. But I'd still take that chance with Dhop for a couple years than some unknown rookie. So, when someone says "is dhop our missing piece?". He damn well could be. But I'd rather find that out than drafting an unknown Once again, no one is saying that there is a certainty. And 2, of we pass on dhop, go the draft route and still don't win anything, is that worse 5 years down the road than going for Dhop now and at least giving us that better chance now and at least say we tried 5 years from now? Give me Dhop and take the chance

No one is saying it guarantees us a Super bowl. But you can't convince me that settling for an unknown in the draft route will do so either. I will say I think Dhop gives us a much better chance at a Super Bowl than not having one. Anyone should be able to agree with that

Give me Dhop and a Super Bowl Chance now. Worry about the rebuild and ramifications later. People that bring up cap don't understand. If we won a Super Bowl this year or next or both, would any of you really give a sh*t about a small rebuild in 5 years? Come on

I understand we may have to rebuild slightly in 5 years or so but if paying for Hopkins gets you a Super Bowl this year or next, it would ease the burden of the small rebuild. Allen would still be here as well, we wouldn't be completely out of him with him anyway

They wouldn't have to do that just by adding a couple years onto players contracts. Add a year on Hyde's deal and resign DaQuan Jones to a 2 year extension and those right there would be better than restructuring Got it for you right here

I'm not sure why we haven't added a year onto Hyde's deal. It makes so much sense. And then resign DaQuan to an extra 2 years or so. That will add more cap space without even having to restructure another deal and then find a way to part with Oliver

To be fair, Bill o Brien was a moron for letting Hopkins go for what he did

I wonder if when the Cardinals realize they won't get that if they will call us back in a few weeks or maybe draft night to do something. It was said we were the leader and had the best offer on the table. Just because it's not done now, doesn't mean it won't be a month from now

I don't mind giving up just a 2nd or just a 3rd if they will eat some of his salary. But they apparently don't wanna do that

It's one thing if he doesn't wanna give up something substantial like a first or 2nd round pick. But if he is trying to offer up a 5th or 6th and all it will take is a 4th. And he doesn't do it. That would be inexcusable in my opinion

What would irritate me is, if Dhop gets traded to the Chiefs or somewhere for a 4th rounder and we backed out of something like that. I hope this isn't some nickle and diming thing where we won't go past like a 5th and lose out because of it

I think it's a mix of both, compensation and the fact that the team trading for him wants them to eat about half of his salary and the Cardinals are refusing

Although this is a short term option obviously, could this be a signal that Oliver could be getting traded? They both play the same position. Just a thought

Ian Rapaport who is as full proof as you can get just said 3 days ago that talks were heating up and now "no one else is interested"? Come on man. A trade is gonna happen. It might not be to the Bills or Chiefs but that is complete nonsense

He's gonna go somewhere. It's either us or the Chiefs. This is being dragged out for them to. Do you think their fans are saying the same thing? I don't think Beane bails on this one as long as the Chiefs are in it. I don't think he let's that happen. This doesn't mean Hopkins doesn't want to come here either. It could be the Cardinals don't wanna eat any of his salary which makes it more difficult for both us and the Chiefs since we are both cash strapped.
