  1. They just mentioned on One Bills Live that you will need a Peacock premium subscription to watch the game. It will not be on the free tier. They also had a bar owner call in that said they don't have access to the Peacock games to show to their customers. There is no mechanism for them commercially.
  2. Not impressed with the trophies...especially the MVP trophy.
  3. It's a reason. Not an excuse. Injuries to key players especially hit them hard last season. Again, having said that coaching, particularly by the coordinators was lacking. And truthfully, Cinci was the better team last year. They had a much more aggressive defense and offensively they have better weapons.
  4. I think they were gassed and had nothing left in the tank, though it's not an excuse. Having said that, Bengals were the better team hands down. We didn't seem to have an offensive or defensive game plan that game. The defense was passive and the offense had nothing beyond Diggs.
  5. Tasker was saying this the other day on One Bills Live, that getting them early before they have time to gel could be a good thing. I just hope we come out like we did last year against the Rams and the Titans...before all the injuries.
  6. Just watched it. Really good to see the Beane work and the unity between coaches and scouts. Thanks to the OP for letting us know it was on.
  7. I was just going to post the "lightning in a bottle" sentiment. He had his moment of glory and fizzled back to normalcy.
  8. That's because people stop listening if they hear something they don't like or don't want to hear. They immediately get reactionary. You exactly captured what Beane said in his presser.
  9. I got the impression from that presser that the question of Williams position has to do with how much of our defense he can absorb as a rookie. He played in a 2 LB system at Tulane, but the defense was very basic. If Williams can grasp the complexity of the Bills defense quickly, he could very well factor in as Edmund's replacement.
  10. Beane just said on OBL, that with so many guys at 90, you don't get a good enough chance to take a look at guys. He feels it's a disservice to the players and their agents, that they tell these guys they'll get a chance with the team, so they sign. Then ultimately they don't and could have gone elsewhere where they had a better shot. Makes sense.
  11. I'm currently watching Total Access on the NFL Network and the question was posed to Maurice Jones Drew and Bucky Brooks, who drafted the best players to improve their team? MJD surprised me by immediately saying the Buffalo Bills with Kincaid and Torrence improving weapons and the oline. I rarely hear MJD say anything good about the Bills. Brooks immediately agreed, but then added Seattle.
  12. My first credit card was Discover...right out of college eons ago. I think they were the first one to offer a cash back bonus. They have the 5% categories that change quarterly that I take advantage of. I have since acquired other cards, all offering a cash back bonus. I select which card to use based on which is most advantageous, always paying them off each month. Discover was also one of the first to offer online savings accounts as well. Years ago I was earning better than 3% on my savings. They also had a 5% CD that I took advantage of. When Ally came about, I moved my online savings there. Their rate was slightly better at the time but mainly I had more flexibility in how I could structure beneficiaries. When interest rates dropped, their rate would drop...but never to the pittance you get at your local bank. As rates have increased, they have raised their rates again. Right now they are just under 4%. Very easy to do business with as well (both them and Discover). Easy to set up and move money as needed. Quite honestly, I don't know why folks don't take advantage of savings mechanisms and avenues that have been available for a long time.
  13. I am really excited about this roster! Last year it was obvious that our weakness on offense was on the oline and the lack of real weapons beyond just a couple of guys. This new offensive roster should result in a younger, better oline with depth. Also we now have offensive weapons that can create mismatches and allow for more unpredictability. Defensively...just getting Von back will help the pass rush. At DT the big concern is next year, so hopefully we extend a couple guys and bring in some FAs. I've got to believe they have a plan at LB...and we've definitely added speed and tackling ability there. I agree with others that have said just getting Hyde back improves the secondary. The young corners that were pressed into service last year showed that there is talent there so I only expect improvement. I know that folks complain about the emphasis on STs. I'm hoping that these older players that have tied up salary playing primarily STs will be replaced by many of these young signings. Getting younger is huge moving forward. I know the division competition has gotten better, but in thinking of those games last year where we struggled it was largely due to the ineffective oline play. So...yes divisional opposition has improved...but then again, I think, so have we. Time will tell.
  14. We also are getting younger on the oline! That is needed for future cap control.
  15. Just heard the same thing. Really appreciated it!
  16. ESPN's e v a l just now was solid. Says he does have positional versatility to OT.
  17. I hate it when the Ravens pick before the Bills. We always get screwed.
  18. I'm talking about the 4 guys we just drafted. I believe they will all make the team.
  19. I'm fine with stock piling picks for next year when we'll have more available roster spots. I've got a spread sheet with the Bills current roster plus the new additions and there is no room. Presuming all the rookies make the team, we are going to have to cut some name players.
  20. We gained an extra pick next year in the 6th.
  21. Buffalo traded with Houston.
  22. That's a good thought. Also bowl games are important. If they play their best in big games, that bodes well for the player's ability to turn it up a notch when they have to.
  23. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/top-five-things-to-know-about-new-buffalo-bills-wr-justin-shorter I don't understand the drops. According to the above, he dropped only one time on 114 targets over the last two years.
  24. Glad they got someone big for the outside. Anyone who would play the slot would take away from Kinkaid's opportunities.
  25. That is not what I heard when listening to the presser. He said that he did not have a first round grade on all four WRs taken ahead of them, but did not specify which ones. Based on the OP, likely they had a first round grade only on Addison and none of the others.
