  1. That's the same ref that called the RTP
  2. That means Balt. DBs will be holding all night.
  3. I think the intent was for Josh to run, but they boxed him in. So he improvised.
  4. I think the lack of WRs on the Penn State team really held Allar back. Outside of Warren and the RBs, he had no one really to throw to this year.
  5. He had improved this year over his freshman year, but today he reverted. He needs to stay in school. He has a lot of maturing to do.
  6. Notre Dame is infinitely more likeable with Freeman as coach versus that arrogant arse Kelly. ND was my Mom's favorite team (mostly because of Regis Philbin.). So even though I was pulling for my PSU, I don't feel bad losing to the Irish. Allar played poorly right from the beginning. I always know if he's "on" from his first few passes. Not last night. So, I will be pulling for the Irish the rest of the way.
  7. Allar would be wise to stick with his initial decision and return to school. He's young and needs more maturing. Tonight proved as much. As to the title game, I think ND would have a good shot if the opponent were Texas, but not OSU.
  8. Congrats to the ND fans. I was pulling for my alma mater, PSU. Not a good night for Drew Allar. Wasted a good effort by the defense and Singleton. Allar was off from the beginning. ND made the plays when they had to.
  9. My alma mater, Penn State, prevailed, although there were times I thought the OC was trying hard not to win. Defense played well. Boise State played a good game. PSU needs to straighten out the offense and the penalties. They won't get by either Georgia or Notre Dame with those stupid trick play calls.
  10. Aikman played behind one of the best O lines surrounded by the best receivers, RB and TE. Would he have been "great" playing with less?
  11. The defense as a whole probably did care. The backups gave up the score. So...no shutout. Do you think the starters are mad at the backups? What do you think the team wants more...a meaningless shutout? Or entering the playoffs healthy?
  12. Coaches don't care about that stuff. They care about wins and losses, and making the playoffs, and the health of the players. Fans care about it.
  13. Members that chime in on game day live for the negative comments. And they have no patience.
  14. He was 78. Died of cancer.
  15. Some teams are looking at Shadeur Sanders. I'm not sold on him.
  16. This year is not a good year for QBs. No one really worth trading up for.
  17. I did subscribe to Netflix for one month. For $6.99 I watched the games with my brother who doesn't stream and will watch a half dozen movies that are only on Netflix for the month. Then I'll unsubscribe. Now...as to the broadcast, I tuned in during the pregame simply selecting "Watch". My brother and I chatted waiting for the games to start...and promptly missed 45 minutes of the game because Netflix started my watching at the beginning of the pregame, not at halfway through when I tuned in. I had to fast forward to get to the game. We watched the game from the beginning, FF through commercials and half time to catch up. On Prime Video, you get the option when you tune in to "watch live" or "watch from beginning". Netflix was "watch". Not good. BTW...I felt really stupid until I read someone's post in the game thread, that he also had to fast forward to get to the actual game.
  18. It doesn't matter. All teams try to improve themselves. Chiefs got the guy they wanted. Bills got the guy they wanted and parlayed it into extra draft picks as well. Worthy and Coleman are two different types of receivers. One has speed, the other has size and can make contested catches. And if the Bills aren't afraid of the Chiefs, the fans need to stop being afraid of the Chiefs. We all have PTSD from the Patriots and Brady. The difference is beating the Pats was an anomaly for the Bills. Not KC. We beat them half the time. We just need to beat them in the right half.
  19. Rams played outdoors, in the cold, traveling across country. Playing at home in their temperature controlled stadium makes a difference. But having said that, our defense could not stop them at all.
  20. Ravens are tough at home, especially in Prime time. Lamar has to prove he can do it on the road in the playoffs.
  21. It depends on Allar. If he's on point with his passing, yes. Franklin takes chances when he should be conservative and plays conservative when he should take chances.
  22. I'm still holding out hope for the one seed. Pittsburgh does not clinch the division if they lose. They will then need the game vs KC next week. With Denver losing this week, if they lose at the Bengals, they will need the home game against KC to make the playoffs.
  23. I like to use the ESPN playoff machine. It just slots teams and sees what happens from week to week based on teams winning and losing. It's more definitive.
