  1. I did not know that. Stupid reason to draft a QB.
  2. You are correct. Haskins was Snyder's pick.
  3. The highlights showed the players using the field as a slip n slide.
  4. That was a bad defensive play, smacking the WR in the helmet.
  5. Not to say you're wrong about Keenum, but you need to toss out that game vs SF for stats. They played in a monsoon.
  6. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27912736/patriots-josh-gordon-lands-ir NE just put Josh Gordon on IR. This is why they needed to add another WR.
  7. Exactly. The Pats already have the officials as extra players on their roster.
  8. I totally agree with you. I said this earlier, it doesn't matter who the receivers for the Pats are, as long as there is one guy open, Brady will find him if you give him the time. This move as well as the 49ers was largely prompted because of injuries. Both receiving corps are beat up at this point. New England tried to trade with Tampa Bay for OJ Howard, but the Bucs turned them down.
  9. Very good review of your work! More humor here than in your article. I'm not complaining though. Your take on that game and the fans was spot on. Love this : "Style points are not a stat, or even a thing." Fans should remember this. Your take on McD and his approach to Josh and this team is what we should be happy about. You play to win the game. You coach to win the game. However it gets done, if you win...you won. (No rhyme intended there.) Teams come out flat occasionally and play down to their competition...and lose. This team did the former, but not the latter. Good analysis and well written...as always.
  10. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. Brady will throw to the open receiver no matter who it is and 9 times out of 10 that receiver catches the ball and the chains move. The only way to stop Brady is to limit his ability to find the open receiver...like the Bills did. The Pats D is playing lights out, but look at the QBs they've faced. Someone posted in another thread that they'd like to see NE against a legit offense. Unfortunately, we may have to wait until the Super Bowl for that to happen.
  11. Man, the Jets fell down like bowling pins on that play.
  12. This is true, but they were moving the ball when they knocked Allen out of the game.
  13. At this rate Jets will be drafting in the top 5.
  14. The only one looking for the ball on that play was Gilmore.
  15. I was shocked since that was a huge departure for them to offer such a huge contract. Belichick didn't have luck drafting corners, so he decided to get one from the Bills that had a good track record for drafting that position.
  16. And the Bears made a push for him and thought they would get him but the Pats swooped in with the huge contract.
  17. Somehow I don't think we have to worry about the Jets making a run in the AFC.
  18. I get your point. Penn State routinely plays a soft zone. Don't like it.
  19. I don't think Penn State let up. I don't know who coaches their D-backs, but they were out of position, missed tackles and otherwise committed PI. Michigan grabbed the momentum and got back in the game. When Penn State scored to make it 28, I started to relax a bit, but Michigan came back again. I was on pins and needles. They're doesn't seem to be a middle ground when these teams play. It's either a blow out one way or the other, or a nail biter coming down to the last play of the game. Big Ten has become more competitive over the past couple of years which is great to see.
  20. Jerry forgot to trim his nose hair.
