  1. I believe the Chargers just promoted McLaughlin to the active roster.
  2. This is true. He'll never do the right thing because he's too busy hanging onto his job.
  3. Riveron's a moron.
  4. Thank you for this. Very informative.
  5. Should have caught it.
  6. First of all, they don't have to be household names. They just have to be willing to come back to the ball and contest catches, not just let the defender make the INT. And the reasons these QBs aren't seen as making stupid decisions is because they have receivers that do the above. Brown and Beasley are better WRs, but the rest of the receiving corps are the same from a year ago. The oline is excelling in the running game, but not in pass protection. You are correct in that Allen does put the ball into harm's way too often, but I think part of the reason he does that is he trusts his receivers and his abilities too much. He needs to play smarter. On that point we agree.
  7. I think this is a valid point. I would agree with you here.
  8. One thing that cannot be overlooked. We've seen other QBs get away with "poor decisions"...throwing across their bodies, throwing into coverage...and getting away with it. Mahomes and Lamar Jackson are among that group. Their receivers make plays and bail them out. Instead of getting castigated, their throws end up on highlight reels. Now before anyone touts that Mahomes and Jackson are better than Josh at this point...I'm not saying he's in their company. My point is...he doesn't have the receivers to allow him to get away with bad decisions. I think he needs to put that realization at the top of his lesson plan.
  9. You know he has one! He befriended McVay all last season, calling him after games and chatting. (McVay talked about this in interviews.) McVay was flattered. Hah! Belichek was getting intel, figuring they may be an opponent in the Super Bowl.
  10. Excellent write up as always, Shaw! Totally agree, especially about Zay. I used to be a Zay advocate, but no more. Too many things happen when Josh is throwing in his direction...and just for the reasons you state. He's not competitive. (He reminds me a bit like Lee Evans in that respect.) I'm disappointed after yesterday's game, but not disheartened. On the other hand, I'm totally disillusioned and disgusted with the NFL in general...particularly in the officiating and Riveron's reviews. There is no consistency from game to game...except that certain teams and players seem to be favored sons.
  11. Yep. Heard that. Tasker said he was the only one left in the room after the others bolted to be commentators on the networks.
  12. I don't buy any of Jones' excuses. Look at his posture after the hit. He stood with his arms flexed over Allen momentarily, like a prize fighter who knew he just ko'd his opponent.
  13. You're right...that's why I think they should have stuck with the run. I'm also thinking of the previous series when they were at the Eagles 1 yard line...4 straight pass plays...all incomplete.
  14. You are right. In the end the Packers couldn't run (or were unwilling to run) and couldn't stop the run (Pettine's defense. Where have we seen that before.) Being able to run the football is especially important when you're inside the 10. Look at the Browns on Sunday. You have Chubb, and you try four pass plays?
  15. Big ones would be nice.
  16. Yep. Two former Bills defensive coordinators.
  17. So nice to have big receivers. Especially when they can catch.
  18. Anybody got him in Fantasy?
  19. Packers D just disappeared on that last TD.
  20. Did love all the sacks though.
  21. Looks like this is turning into a game!
  22. Except Pettine's D isn't good at stopping the run.
  23. Absolutely! The ceiling is very high on Josh.
  24. Thanks for saying this. I always thought Sharpe was on the right team (Broncos) since he physically resembles a horse.
  25. Wendy Nix on NFL Live picked the Bills in her "all in" hat segment in today's show. You pick the team you are "all in" on this week. Del Rio picked the Bengals to get their first win. One guy picked the Vikings because of their run game. Ryan picked the Panthers. Then Wendy grabbed the Bills helmet. She believes in them, although not necessarily predicting a win.
