I think it's fair to say nobody can say with certainty what AJ is. His body of work is incomplete. When Tyrod came from Baltimore none of us knew what he was either we only knew what we hoped he would become. He did not become what we hoped. Hopefully the same fate does not await AJ.

There is nothing remarkable in either player's completion percentage stats improvement. Yes, they tended to have better completion rates as they got older (Hasselbeck pretty much went sideways after year 4) but so do many QB's. As I was saying I believe their ability to throw to the spot may have visibly gotten better.

I think this may be a typical progression for many QB's in the league. It may be an increase in accuracy but my suspicion is it's a greater understanding of defenses and situational awareness. In other words the game becomes easier for them with each passing year. I looked at Brees and Brady just out of curiosity and they both have improved in completion percentage over the course of their careers.

If their accuracy improved it must have been visible by the eye test because you wouldn't draw that conclusion looking at their completion % stats.

These are pretty ground breaking criteria.

I agree with this. What I like about Beane is he does not seem to be impulsive and his decisions are made without emotion.

Agreed. There is not much history that suggests a quarterback can become something in the NFL that he wasn't in college.
