  1. I know. It's called an inference.
  2. Now I think I get it. Flutie > Rodgers.
  3. I think these 2 scenarios are quite different. In '85 the Bills knew they were probably gonna have Kelly at some point in the not too distant future. This would be like the Bills knowing that Mahomes was gonna play in Kansas City for the next two years and then be available to them (maybe not the best example but off of the top of my head). It makes drafting a QB way less of a priority.
  4. Brandon Beane: Hero or the goat, baby! Hero or the goat.
  5. Is this the climate change thread?
  6. Good points. I think the "whatever it takes" bunch are so starved for a franchise QB they say "just go for it" regardless of cost. Those traded picks will be long forgotten if the QB they trade up to pick becomes "the franchise". History tells us this is unlikely as there are roughly 12 QB's in the league that most of us could agree are the franchise type. At least 4 of those guys were drafted more that 12 years ago.
  7. I would say you have these two scenarios flip-flopped as far as which is worse. If the Bills get Allen at least they have a guy that we'll all say can potentially be coached up in spite of his accuracy problems. The second scenario means all the eggs are in the AJ basket, which might turn out OK but there is no alternative if it doesn't.
  8. Why are you still clinging to the 2020 second round pick? Just throw it in to seal the deal.
  9. The Bills have more to offer but will they offer it?
  10. This stuff must sound great in your head. It doesn't read well.
  11. Tony Hunter's mom woulda done that deal.
  12. Then let him do his job. Have your say when the draft is done.
  13. I don't want a GM who listens to the fans.
  14. Will the parrot actually be making the picks?
  15. Definitely got it now. Flutie > Johnson.
  16. Uh .... maybe the Colts didn't want to move that far back.
  17. Why would the Browns allow the Giants and Jets to determine who their potential franchise QB is going to be? As a GM you are charged with making decisions that effect the trajectory of the franchise. Waiting to pick a QB at #4 is a weak move.
  18. So I'm starting to sense that you preferred Flutie to Johnson.
  19. Me: Oh, magic 8 ball, will the Bills regret not moving up to #3? Magic 8 ball: Ask again in 2 years.
  20. I think most of us on this board feel that the Bills moved to 12 with every intention of moving even higher. If the right deal is there at a palatable price I think Beane takes it. If the Bills end up picking at 12 then I think that would be considered plan B at OBD.
  21. I think there's gonna be 2 or 3 teams doing this. Hopefully the Bills are not one of them.
