There's so many to keep track of.

I remember hearing stories about how obnoxious his Giants teammates thought he was. This guy has actually started 78 games in his 7 year career and has 5 interceptions. Matt Milano has 8 picks in 69 games just for reference.

The Bengals at that point in the game had possessed the ball 7 times and the Bills had forced exactly one punt. On the other possessions they had scored 3 touchdowns, 2 field goals and one Hail Mary to end the half. The simple fact is the only thing that was going to make a possible difference at that point in the game was scoring a touchdown. McD knew his defense had not been able to stop Cincy all day and they probably weren't going to magically come up with a solution.

This might be considered slightly hyperbolic.

How is this knowable?

I agree that the Bengals looked good in one half of one quarter against the Bills. What I can't agree with is the people who take 1/8 of a football game and extrapolate that into a result (Bengals win). There are all sorts of media types who make it sound like a team has never come back from being down 7-3.

Had the pleasure of meeting him this year at the golf course. Total class act!

The crazy thing is if Trey Lance doesn't get hurt the Niners may not have been anything special this year.

I love talking about stuff that almost happened. It's way more interesting than the stuff that actually happened.

I think this is a testament to the defense. Miami had short field after short field and the defense consistently held them to field goals.

My takeaway from all of this is... there's plenty of blame to go around for this win.

These guys are in full rant mode. Don't confuse them with facts.

Maybe he can split the job with somebody. He can coach the first 6 games like a superstar and then take the rest of the year off as usual.

I agree with Watkins as well. Here's where he went wrong: It's fine to think everything he does about Lamar it's just not OK to say it out loud. Why not just say it to his face instead of some reporter at the WaPo?

This guy is a tough sell in my book. He plays two-thirds of the games but wants all the money.

This is a tough situation for Baltimore. They have every right in the world to franchise tag this guy the next two years but what does that do to Lamar's mindset? Is he going to show up every day and give his all like a dutiful employee or is he going to be a malcontent who feels like he got screwed out of guaranteed money by his employer? If I had to bet I'd choose the latter.
