  1. Steelers to win their division. We just need losses from both Titans and Jags. Guessing one of them gets the 5 seed but a collapse from either really opens up the WC.
  2. Raiders: 4-5 with games against NE, PHI, and KC. Most likely finishing 8-8, 9-7 gives us the tiebreaker anyway Dolphins: 4-5 with NE x2, KC, and us x2. We pretty much need to sweep them to have a chance unless we win @KC and/or against NE, which is doubtful. Sweep them and we have tiebreaker worst case Ravens: This is our biggest threat at 4-5. 1 game @ PIT is the only one they most likely lose. They also play @ GB this week and vs DET later on, so maybe with some luck they'll drop to 8-8. No idea how the tiebreakers would work if we're both 9-7, but if we do make it that far we'll have a pretty good conference record. I have a hard time believing any of the 3-6 teams will go 6-0 or 5-1 to leapfrog us at 9-7. Our biggest threat is ourselves. We need to win 4 more which realistically would be @LAC, MIA x2, and IND. Otherwise we need to beat KC or NE, which I don't see happening. I am right now having trouble seeing a win this week @LAC but who knows maybe the lack of film on Peterman will help and our defense comes back.
  3. We just freed up a player used to running the ball. Hand it to him.
  4. Tyrod 7-9 Peterman 7-9 wins vs MIA and vs IND for either I think this team's issues stem much further than QB and this change won't make a significant difference. I hope I'm wrong but I just can't put any faith in this team right now.
  5. So we're going to go on a 4 game win streak now?
  6. Nice, 2 weeks in a row where I get the local feed. Though I am right about on that border between BUR and ALB (think it's a bit more north than I live).
  7. Nothing would make me happier than seeing this team do the stuff I see so many other teams succeed and win with. But if it were this easy, why didn't Peterman start the season?
  8. Sunk Cost Fallacy most likely Or Stockholm Syndrome But really, what else am I going to do? Pick a different team?
  9. I think we want Jacksonville to beat LAC. That puts them at 6 losses, and 1 more from us next week would put them out of our sights (having tiebreaker if we're both 9-7). On the other hand, JAX is looking like they'll take that division. A loss for them here doesn't do much for us. Also, I think we should root for TEN to beat CIN. Either JAX or TEN is going to be the other wildcard, in my opinion. We need CIN out of the picture as they have the tiebreaker on us, which means at least 7, probably 8 losses.
  10. If we're still in the hunt by the time we got to Gillette Pats fans will swarm that game. They've been waiting for a real challenge in the AFCE for a long time.
  11. At this point it's a numbers thing. We have 3 losses whereas most of the teams in the hunt below us have 5. We also have tiebreakers on a lot of those teams.
  12. Even worse. We'll be 5-4 and at our low point. Then we'll beat LAC and some interest will return. Then we'll beat KC and playoffs here we come. Then lose to NE twice, IND, and MIA once knocking us out.
  13. 8-6 traveling to the 2-14 Raiders and losing ugh that was painful. Then having that free win @NE when they didn't care. I don't even think a loss this week is predictive of anything. But if we don't beat LAC we're screwed, imo. 5-5 with NE x2, KC, MIA x2 doesn't bode well.
  14. Agreed. Panthers are decent but we almost beat them. Lions are decent but inconsistent. Packers without Rodgers. Dolphins inconsistent (and in London). They are beating bad teams. If we're a bad team they'll beat us. If not, we'll see.
  15. I'm starting to buy into the concept that 9-7 will be enough (but I don't want to have to rely on that). However, I think that 9-7 must come with a win @ LAC (for the H2H and conference tiebreaker) and sweeping MIA (to knock them out and get to 9 wins).
  16. Couple things we have going for us: - McDermott coming from the NFCS knows how to plan defensively for the Saints. Same as TB, ATL, and CAR - Home game with cold weather - Benjamin, Gaines, Clay all playing - Longer week to game plan I like to think of their winning streak as a positive for us. They aren't as desperate as us and can become complacent.
  17. Even with the garbage OL play we still have an opportunity to win if not for those turnovers. At least 6 points taken off on our side, maybe 10 if you're generous. Then at least 7 taken off the Jets' side on the TT fumble. It would've made it a winnable game in spite of the rest of the bad performance.
  18. I get HFA but it's like a 1 hour flight. These guys probably drive just as long to get to the Ralph.
  19. I just got a cheapo nosebleed ticket in the 310 section. I gotta work in the morning so I'm not going out hard but I'll be there. Forecast 66 degrees at kickoff not too shabby for November.
  20. Denver We have the head-to-head against them if our records are close at the end of the year. Every loss for KC helps our draft pick we got from them. But also, when teams lose they have less confidence moving forward and when they win they have more confidence moving forward. We still have to face KC and I'd prefer if they weren't on a hot streak when we play them. Less momentum to battle against.
