Earlier this year he was in a PGA event and had a stipulation with CBS that if he made the cut on Saturday he could play golf on Sunday and someone would cover for him. I can't see him giving up that kind of flexibility. But I would like to see him coach.

The thing about Fitz is that he comes in, invokes Fitzmagic, but it always eventually runs out. It's the reason he keeps finding himself on the bench. His stats have been declining every game since he came out against us with the exception of the literal Jets. We're coming out fired up and with a much longer leash from McDermott.

Ideally CLE and PIT split their games. That gives CLE 7 losses and PIT 5. Then we will have to beat them and win the other "expected" wins to get to 10-6 and have the tiebreaker. So it doesn't matter what happens this week as long as the opposite happens next time they play. I'd rather see a CLE win today because I just don't trust PIT to lose many more games whereas CLE needs to completely win out, which is tough to do even with an easy schedule.

I don't remember McD talking about that but I don't really pay too much attention to pressers. But if it's true that makes me feel a lot better about Allen. I would expect him to have a stumble here or there if he's getting thrown into the fire fully. It's if he's getting a watered down playbook and half-field reads and things like that and he's still faltering that really scares me.

Best case would be PIT loses this week or at home vs. CLE and also loses to us and BAL. That knocks out Cleveland and Pittsburgh at the same time removing any threat from the North.

That TT/Allen comparison is striking, though I'll note that Allen has the same number of rushing TDs (14) in 20 games as TT did in 3 years.

IIRC Allen is one of the worst QBs under pressure this year and Browns blitzed well above their season average so it all makes sense.

Browns game was a classic Billsy loss. It had it all. 8x goal line stand. Scoop and score reversed. Simple deep pass overthrown by 8 yards. Pass heavy offense vs. a top 10 pass defense, Bottom 3 run defense. Missed 34 yard FG. Hope kept alive on the final drive until they ***** all over their diapers and then missed the FG to take it to OT.

Watching the play in motion, it looked to me like he took a look at Beasley right at the snap and the defender was looking like he was going to cover him so he looked over to the right and at that point he was blind to the left side and took his shot.

I think we gave Cleveland a shot of adrenaline and honestly that game should not have been as close as it was considering the herculean efforts the D made at the goal line. They may take one from PIT. Even so I think our road to playoffs requires a win there.

We have become the teams that beat us. Playing for our season now with desperation. Usually the longer Fitz goes the worse he gets so I expect him to play worse this time than the first time he played us.

With a win our playoff chances go up to like 80%, with a loss they go down to about 50%
