I had the game on the radio at work yesterday and when the Bills scored their TD he was acting like they had won the super bowl.

It scares me when the coach comes out and says that he believes you win in Buffalo by playing field position and pounding the rock. IMO I believe they drafted Allen cause he is a mobile QB like Tyrod but a higher ceiling. They want a QB that doesn't take chances and doesn't turn the ball over like Tyrod. You need explosive offense to win. If Allen comes back they should be running an offense like that. The season is lost anyways, atleast see if Allen can make those kind of throws.

And the Bills are that much better. It seems Bills fans just look at the Sabres record and don't even watch then play. At least the Sabres look to be turning it around and are exciting to watch.

Its more like if you are going to draft your QB at least give him some help. Instead McDermott believed they would be able to pound the rock and have Allen be a game manager. IMO they have gone about building this team backwards. This league is all about explosive offense with enough defense to make a couple of stops. Instead of spending their money on defense they should have helped Allen and the offense.

It seems a lot of the Bills fans don't follow hockey. Hockey is fast and entertaining sport. No down time between plays.

Every Bills fan seems to dismiss the other Pro Team in town. The Sabres are a young and exciting team on their way up.

Better the Peterman I will give you that but you still have to throw the ball in this league and averaging less the 100 yrds a game through the air isn't going to win you many.

Their thinking that you can win in this league still by playing field position and conservative offense is all you need to know. If they thought they could repeat last year with a raw Tyrod with a higher ceiling shows they have no idea how to run an offense in this league.

The Bills do have Tyrod 2.0 with a higher ceiling now.

Thats not saying much. At least Anderson threw for over 150 yards twice with the same talent on the field. Right now Allen is like Tayler with a higher ceiling.

Keep the talent they have and add to it. Not try and win with defense and field position.

Unlike you and your brethren they expected competitive games. Too many of you have blind faith when it comes to DEM BILLS.

I would rather be a team like the Steelers or Patriots go into every season knowing they have a chance to win the Super Bowl.

Usually teams that are built like that are one ofs and don't win year in and year out. Its hard to keep a high ranked defense together for multiple years.

Playing conservative football doesn't work anymore. Sorry to tell you but the top teams all can score at will. You don't win by running the ball and playing field position.

Give them the offseason to fix the offense but I am not keeping my hopes up. The QB situation is laughable this season and it is why I question if they know how to build an offense in today's game. The fact McDermott believes you can win in this league by playing field position and running the ball is a big question mark.

When I say competitive I mean game wise. Losing but still be in games till atleast the 4th quarter. Other rebuilding teams manage to score points and stay in games without being over before the end of the 1st quarter. That is what I have been talking about and what most fans expected this season. Its exactly why I think they are building this team backwards. The way the league is now you need a top offense more then a top defense. The teams with the top defenses have a .500 record or worse.

As far as rebuilding goes, IMO this regime has done it backwards. The way the league is now you need a top offense over a top defense. If you look at the top teams in the league they all have a top rated offense and an average defense at best. Look at the teams with the top defenses they all around .500 or worse. The blue collar, play the field position team doesn't work any more.

I know they aren't trying to go 8 and 8 for the MILLIONTH TIME. Most fans expected them to win maybe 3 to 5 games but you can still be competitive in games and have a 3 to 4 win season. Look at the other teams that are worse then the Bills, they lost but atleast they are in majority of the games. IMO their eventual downfall will be the continued thinking that Peterman is a legit NFL QB.

Its not that people are not patience for a rebuild. As a fan I have gone throw it with the Sabres so I should know what its like. ITS NOT FUN REPEATING IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Most fans aren't upset with the losing, its the lack of being competitive in games. Its one thing to lose in close games but to be blown out as much as they have been with the worst offense in a long time is another. In a rebuild year its one thing to have a bad offense but to last and that far behind the 2nd worst team brings up lots of questions.

I can name 2 posters who said you can't be critical. John from Riverside being one of them. I never said they should be fired yet but if by next year at this time and the offense shows no improvement they should be fired. Their biggest mistake is that Peterman is still on this roster and is starting.

I know who George Micheal is and I am not demanding INSTANT SUCCESS. I KNOW THEY ARE REBUILDING and like most fans that are upset knew the record would be bad. Its hard to have FAITH in a regime when they put out one of the worst QB's ever to play. I am sorry the guy should have been cut after his first game this year. The mistakes they have made on the offensive side of the ball this year is inexcusable. Most teams when they draft their rookie QB give them some help but not the Bills. Their coach still believes that you can win with field position and pounding the rock.

WOW is all I can say to the ones who say you can't be critical of DEM BILLS. I am guessing you guys are fine with Peterman at QB. If he goes and throws 4 more INTS tomorrow thats ok cause you can't be critical of him. DEM BILLS know what they are doing.

Why should there be more faith in this regime when they put together one of the worst offenses ever. In an era where points are easy to come by its not difficult to score at least a TD each week but for the Bills its like building the pyramids.

According to you and some of the other old timers here you should never criticize DEM BILLS cause it makes no difference. Just accept the things they do and be happy DEM BILLS are still in Buffalo
