  1. They want to limit tailgating, in hopes of limiting the obnoxious drunks that go to the games. The Bills may lose a lot of tailgating fanbase but will gain a bunch of fans that want a more family friendly environment.
  2. I have never had an issue getting in or out for Sabres games and I live in Niagara Canada. I usually park at the parking garage across from the thru-way and walk. After games I go grab a drink waiting for traffic to clear.
  3. As far as your Brother in-law, it probably is a Llyodminster thing as it's a smaller town. I still would take our government paid system over insurance based system. I know the company would pay for my insurance as they already cover any medical in the U.S. when I travel. It may not be a large population against government paid insurance, but there is alot of them against more taxes. All you need to look at is a new Bills stadium. A lot of Bills fans don't want higher taxes to pay for it.
  4. Explain to me my ignorance of health care? All I have ever seen is people in the US up in arms whenever they mention the government covering the insurance. All because most don't want their taxes raised.
  5. It may not be free but I am glad to pay with my taxes for my health care instead of going into debt for any surgeries. Then again that goes against the attitude of a lot of Americans in helping their neighbors
  6. What is wrong with what I posted. What is bad about banning all automatic weapons and free health care?
  7. ,^ this guy ?. I really believe the good ole USA should go the Canada route. Rifles, handguns and shotguns are legal. All gun owners must register their gun and have them locked up when not in use. As far as the mentally ill issue and these mass shootings, health care paid for by the government like Canada would do wonders. It does go against the whole caring for your neighbor thing. Any time it has been brought up, you hear a lot of Americans against paying for their neighbors care. Americans need to get over the me-first attitude.
  8. At some point the price of tickets have to go up. The Bills have had the lowest ticket prices in the league. I really think the Bills are going to raise their tickets to an average of $200, which is what the Bucs average out to. The Bills are half that right now. The way it sounds is a lot of the people on this board wouldn't pay that.
  9. Why is it so many are against a downtown stadium or a new stadium? I have never had an issue leaving downtown after a Sabres game but then again I usually go to one of the bars to wait til traffic clears. What's wrong with a stadium like the Browns play in but downtown?
  10. A stadium downtown will have smaller tailgating area, probably in Bills owned lots. Its also their way of getting people to go to the bars near the stadium to tailgate. With everything the Pegulas have done to downtown, why wouldn't they put a new Bills stadium there. Bills fans seem to be the only fanbase against a new stadium. Most other fanbases would love to have a new stadium. I would love a stadium like Atlanta has. Nice big concourses and better amenities.
  11. I agree solid work ethic doesn't go out of style but it's not Blue collar. Bills fans seem to want to have a Blue Collar team for some reason. Though most aren't even in the Bills territory anymore.
  12. Its not a great sign but you're forgetting that you can't say anything negative about the franchise QB. You can't take away the fans hope going into the season.? You guys have to get over the Blue collar lunch pail garbage. Its not the Rockpile days anymore. I realize a lot of you are fans from those days but teams now aren't built that way anymore. Its 2019 not 1960.
  13. What does that have anything to do with what I posted? Do people not enjoy the summer?
  14. Summers are so short in most of the country, that it's crazy so many hate hot weather. There is lots to do in this nice weather, that you can't do in winter. Who doesn't like going to theme parks, go to the beach or camp.
  15. Whenever I go to a Sabres game, I have never had any issues getting out of downtown after the game. Putting the Bills downtown shouldn't be an issue. If they upgrade the metro rail it will help.
  16. I agree with electronics but now people are buying groceries online. Where does it end. IMO we are starting to become a Hermit Society. Having everything delivered to us, downloading movies illegally, watching sports and drinking at home. Nobody seems to socialize anymore.
  17. Online shopping is overrated. I know, I work in retail and see more returns from online then anything else. Its much easier to go to the store so you can see what you are buying instead of hoping that's what you bought. The other thing is it leads to closing of stores, which leads to less jobs but if you're tooooooo busy to shop then all the power to you. Studies have shown we aren't any busier then we were years ago. Maybe stop putting your kids in multiple activities and parent. Stop trying to be their friend.
  18. You expect them to slowly get better year after year? I'm sorry this isn't the Rockpile days, no team rebuilds for more then 2 seasons.
  19. I think there is nothing wrong with that. They need more Sabres talk on WGR. It feels a lot of times the Sabres are not on the same level as the Bills. I realize a lot of Bills fans aren't hockey fans.
  20. I disagree about talent. You can only scheme so much and win. It takes talent to win in this league. Very rare has a team won without top end talent at QB, WR and RB. If you have those players, your odds of winning many games a season is increased. Its easier to keep 3 players together as opposed to a highly ranked defense year after year. Look at last season, the Chiefs and Colts both made the playoffs and they both have top end talent at QB, WR and RB. Then you look at the Bills, a bunch of scrubs at WR and bad QB play. As far as a plan goes, a slow build approach is not needed in todays NFL. Look at the Browns, I know they have been bad for years, but their new GM made moves to win now. By adding OBJ with the talent they already have, they are looking like a contender for the AFC North title.
  21. For a team like the Bills who lack talent at WR, a guy like Antonio Brown is something the Bills can use. Talent wins in this league, a bunch of plug and play WRs doesn't usually work. I will take a guy like OBJ or AB over Beasley or Foster every day of the week.
  22. I know you really want to BILLieve badly that the Bills are finally going to turn it around and have success, I just don't see it. Copying the Pats may seem like a great idea but they are an outlier on how teams are built. You need elite talent to win in this league, plug and play guys will only get you so far. Antonio Brown was the type of WR the Bills have needed for a long time. I know Brown nixed the deal but the fact so many Bills fans didn't want him shows me they only want elite talent as long as they aren't me first players. As far as QB's go, just cause a guy studies film, practices hard, and is mobile doesn't make him a franchise guy. You also need to me accurate and have good completion percentage, which Allen has never had yet in his career. QB's don't suddenly become accurate over night.
  23. You keep saying that but then explain how it works in Cleveland. They have PSL's and just raised their ticket prices. I am pretty sure Cleveland as a city isn't any more well off then Buffalo is. I think it's just that a lot of are afraid of being priced out.
  24. How about enjoy the summer. There is lots to do to keep you busy til the season starts.
  25. My question to the ones that are against a new stadium is have any of you been to any of the newer stadiums? Its not football but I love Progressive Field in Cleveland. Its a really nice stadium with great amenities. The one level has a family area with games for kids to play. The food was really good and a lot of local restaurants had a booth to get food from. People have to realize that the NFL and the Bills are about making money. A new downtown stadium with only Bills owned lots for tailgating would bring in more money. Private lots don't earn the Bills any money. I bet the area will be smaller so more people will go to the local bars to tailgate before the game. Again to bring in more money to the Bills. Tickets will for sure go up but probably to be more in line with the league average. On average the Bills tickets are about $70, I can see them jumping close to the league average of $120.
