  1. Its great they are 6-2 but after watching a lot of other teams this season the Bills offense looks very bad. Its mostly cause a lot of other teams use their offense to the strength of their QB. Its hard to win against good teams using a game manager. That's what they have turned Allen into.
  2. I think that mind set is changing slowly. I think most teams are going in the direction of building an offense that caters to the type of QB they are. Look at Arizona and Baltimore, they built an offense for what their QB is good at. For me they should be calling plays and building an offense around Allen. Making plays outside the pocket on the run seems to be what he is good at. Making him a pocket passer, IMO, is not the answer. For a guy with a rocket arm they should be making more plays over 20 yards passing. I realize why they are doing what they are doing with Allen. After the Pats game they have reeled him in and made him a game manager. I'm afraid they may never let him loose again cause it goes against the complimentary football and ball control.
  3. The Bills should be doing the same with their offense for Allen.
  4. IMO it will always be that way when they have a lead and it's not cause of Daboll. Til McDermott changes philosophy into modern day NFL Allen will be a game manager. Just once I would love to the Bills offense keep their foot on the gas for the whole game.
  5. The point of football and sports is to win. I don't care how Blue Collar a guy is or how likeable the team is. I just want to win and look good doing it. I want my team to dominate and destroy teams. Only Bills fans want the Blue Collar to go with winning.
  6. I am still waiting for even the local media to even mention the Sabres for once. Its been all Bills all the time. The Sabres are doing just what the Bills are doing. Beating the teams they are supposed to beat. I thought Buffalo was a hockey town. Its just like every other city in the US. Hockey doesn't matter
  7. That's fine you came away unimpressed. What I want to know is how come you easily look past the Bills flaws on offense but the Sabres your quick to jump on how bad they look.
  8. This coming from a guy who says the same when it comes to the Sabres. Sabres beat the teams they are supposed to beat and you still say they suck. Meanwhile the Bills have done the same and it's "We're 6-2, we the best."
  9. The only rule I would love to see the NFL adopt is one the CFL has. No more fair catches instead you have to give the receiving player 5 yards to make a play or its a 10 yard penalty. It makes for some exciting returns.
  10. Maybe if they start going for some big plays more often it would help. You can't always try to go down field in 10 plays. The Bills schedule is harder in the second half. They need to keep their foot on the gas on offense.
  11. Part of the reason for the low INTs is they have lowered the amount of high risk deep ball plays. At some point they need to be able to score on big plays. I think McDermott is afraid to let Allen loose cause of fear of turnovers.
  12. Its been awhile but ever since the Pats game they made Allen more of a game manager. That's probably why. I would love to see more big plays from the offense. I think McDermott is afraid of turnovers so it doesn't happen much.
  13. So far it has worked but not so sure it will continue to work against teams that have good offenses. At some point you have to take chances to win in this league. The best teams always do. I am not talking about going for it in 4th and 1 in the other teams end. I would love to see more big yard plays. Most teams don't try to score with 10 play drives all the time. My worry is it won't change cause it doesn't fit into McDermott's ball control philosophy. Just once it would be nice to see a modern offense in Buffalo. You can't rely on a good defense forever cause history has shown its hard to keep a good defense together for a long period of time.
  14. Why is it when any one posts anything that has anything negative to say about some issues with the Bills its always blown off. Too many homers here that just think 6-2 ,6-2,6-2
  15. They better learn to stop the run otherwise Chubb is going to have a field day.
  16. One team didn't have to come from behind to beat those same teams. The Pats dominated those teams while the Bills offense struggled to put up points
  17. They are conservative in that they rarely go for the big play that the good teams do.
  18. No it's not. Then again Bills fans always have low expectations for their team. Having no INTs and just making the playoffs is good enough.
  19. Its funny when Tyrod was here that wasn't good enough but with Allen its good enough.
  20. Its not just Daboll, its the conservative approach of McDermott. Ever since the game against the Pats they have turned him into a game manager. The numbers you show prove that. Great QBs have to yards to go with those numbers. Until McDermott realizes your offense needs to do more then just enough, Allen will be JAG.
  21. That's all on the coach and his complimentary conservative approach. Ever since the Pats game they have decided to make Allen a game manager when instead they should let him loose. Seen as this season is about growth, let him loose. It works in the 4th qtr why not do it all game.
  22. Its great they won and yes they are 6-2 but their run d still got gashed. Once again they wait til the 4th qtr to let Allen loose and make plays. If they want to do more then make the playoffs they need to let Allen loose for the whole game. Stop being so conservative.
  23. Its funny cause Seattle had no problem adding him to their team. You keep trusting the process.
  24. This season they are doing a lot better then expected so they should have added help for their offense. Gordon was free for the taking. He may have helped, he may not have. Why not take a chance. Another WR to go with Brown might help stretch the field. Instead they didn't do anything. So far this regime has proven they can build a defense but have no idea how to build an offense or get the most out of what they have. Good coaches find ways to make an offense fit their QB. Instead in Buffalo they turned a mobile QB into a pocket passer and so far it's not been going very well.
  25. The reason I said I need to see it, is it would a long way to show me Allen is the guy. Its not that I don't want to see them win, I want to the offense improve a lot. Cause up this point they are trending in the wrong direction. Scoring only 19 points a game isn't good enough. The defense isn't always going to hold teams to 17 points.
