I agree with the bad coaching part. IMO watching other teams, especially those with top offenses is how easy they move the ball. They also have a lot more explosive plays more often. All through that winning streak and the game against KC the offense struggled to score most games.

Some coach once said "It's hard to win in this league". IMO many here are so afraid the Bills go back to irrelevant again that they are afraid to change the coach. McDermott has taken this team as far as he can. His philosophy is too old school for what wins in this league now.

Netflix will be the new home for WWE's Monday Night Raw
Jrb1979 replied to Gregg's topic in Off the Wall
Yep. It's going to happen. Depending on what happens with the lawsuit between the NFL and DirectTV. From the what's being said if the NFL wins they could move local broadcasts to streaming only. -
I agree with a lot of that. IMO the biggest issue the Sabres have and will always have is guys don't want to play here. Its why they end up with guys like Johnson and Clifton. They have to stick to the development process by default. It just going to take longer for this team to get better. As bad as they have been this season, I will take their situation over whats going on on Ottawa. Both teams were supposed to take the next step this season. At least with the Sabres they have shown glimpses of it, where as it's been a tire fire in Ottawa

A litt off topic. I have been fascinated with older fans like @Shaw66 and @oldmanfan in their love for the Bills but no love for the other team in town thats been around since the 70s. I know the Sabres haven't been good the last decade but from the 70s til early 2000s they had many good runs in the playoffs. I would have thought they would have had the same level of fandom. As far as the team goes, I think they have regressed since that 13 second game. The offense isn't as dynamic and explosive.

Tua vs. Dak , who gets the bigger new contract this offseason?

I think Fields would be a good fit. More mobile than Tua and has a better arm. -

https://www.si.com/nfl/broncos/news/tua-tagovailoa-broncos-dolphins-trade-proposal-mock Broncos get: Tua Tagovailoa, No. 137 pick • Dolphins get: Justin Fields, No. 81 pick, Broncos 2025 second-round pick • Bears get: No. 182 pick, Dolphins 2025 third-round pick, Broncos 2025 sixth-round pick If that trade happens it's a good deal for all teams. -
Beane & McDermott end of season press conferences
Jrb1979 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Disagree. He's done a good job getting them to be competitive and out of the drought years. IMO this is a far as he takes them. Complimentary football is an old school way of thinking. They need to get a coach that will focus on the offense. -
Lawsuit against NFL re TV rights and distribution

If you read the article the streaming would be for in-market only. Locals would have to switch to streaming and out of market would only get the team local to them. -
Beane & McDermott end of season press conferences
Jrb1979 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know that post is a year old but it still applies today. IMO he's taken them as far as he can take them. I don't see them getting over the hump with him. Time to get an offensive minded coach. -

He was a No 1. IMO he's hit the age wall and he's not that guy anymore. -
That offensive game plan worked so well that I managed to only score 7 points in the second half. Unless they draft the offensive weapons, next season not much will change. They don't have the cap to spend on big upgrades

The Million-Dollar Question Sticking in My Mind
Jrb1979 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Disagree. The offense only scored 7 points in the second half and made no plays over 20 yards. They have no game breakers on offense -
Disagree. You're not moving Diggs, Bass, Miller or Knox due their cap hits. Add in the amount of guys that a free agents on this team, it's not a 5-7 move fix. It's more like a 2-3 year retool. They have a lot of holes going into next season with little money.
-
Not with that cap space will it be fixed.
-
Agreed. Due to the cap hits Bass, Miller, Knox and Diggs are back next season. Add in the free agents leaving and little cap space they look to be heading towards a few down seasons. This season was their chance with this core of players.
-
They can't do anything with him. He's back next season as well as Bass, Miller and Knox. The cap hits to cut them is too big.

AFC Divisional Playoff - Chiefs @ Bills - 2nd half game thread
Jrb1979 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The KC offense has struggled all season. Last week they had trouble scoring TDs. -

With all that talent they still struggle to score points most games or putting teams away. -
Game thread: Philadelphia at Tampa Bay 8 PM ABC/ESPN
Jrb1979 replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
As big of a deal is with Philly's collapse, nobody's talking about how elite Tampa's defense is. 15 of 17 games they held opponents to 20 points or less. They are a darkhorse in the NFC. -
Shout out another “elite” HC like Mike Tomlin
Jrb1979 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe in the first half you can say he got out coached. He made better 2nd half adjustments than Mclappity. The game was still in doubt til late 4th quarter. All Tomlin does is win, and the last 5 Bills games all I heard was winning was all that matters.
