  1. Thanks for posting this. Watching the game at a bar today and they showed this replay angle multiple times but on those tv's from the distance I was at, the ball didn't look like it moved but a hair. Here it's clear that at one brief point he didn't have any hands on the ball. NFL got this one right. Still a great effort though.
  2. Nobody complaining cares that we are in first place in our division. Winning the division is no longer the standard. Winning the SB is the only goal this organization should have. And people who are complaining are looking at the big picture and seeing the same mistakes being made at critical points of games. There's 8 years of established poor game / time management and to a lesser degree questionable roster management (ignoring WR in draft for too long, throwing huge money at Von, etc etc). We have a unicorn at QB that we have never - and will never see again after he leaves - and it's a terrifying thought that these clowns may never even make it to 1 SB much less winning one. Based on McDermott's past history and his inability to learn from prior mistakes, does anyone have faith that if we do get to a SB and get in a tight game that his decisions at that point will put this team in a good spot to win? I sure don't.
  3. That play was posted on Twitter last night from the sky judge view behind Allen. Watching that, it looks like Shakir was the primary target on the play. I’m going to guess that the Bills were waiting to call this play - setting this scenario up. I say that because when Shakir got to the 10, the Safety turns his hips to the corner so they must have run that corner route multiple times already. The second Allen saw the safety do that, he started to throw, knowing Shakir was going to the post and would be wide open. At this point, Dawkins was a good 5ish feet away from Allen. It was a clean pocket when Allen started to throw. By the time Allen’s backswing is at its peak, Dawkins is now a foot or two away from Allen. Allen can’t move his lead foot because of this. As the ball is leaving Allen’s hand, he gets bumped enough where his body moves to the right, ultimately causing the incompletion. It’s a bit like analyzing the Zapruder film. But that sky judge view is in high enough quality where you can break it down frame by frame and see everything that happened. It’s was 100% the right play call and right decision by all parties involved. They needed Dawkins to hold his block for 1/2 a second longer.
  4. Yeah makes sense. When I say the 4th down FG was the last straw for me I mean that just happened to be the last decision. There were a ton more leading up to that point. Fake punt, obsession with a middling run game, not running a play to gain a few yards on 3rd down for a more manageable 4th, etc. I’d like to see that 3rd down play on an all 22 as, going off memory watching it live, I saw no receiver on the screen the broadcast allows us to see. I know Allen was flushed out fairly early as well. It just felt like a bad play call for the circumstances but I’m not certain. For me, since all of these things lead up the 4th down play I’m like why are you kicking? You have the ball and are in control. This situation is why we drafted Allen. If you want to win, you pick this up and continue dictating the terms of the rest of the game. I agree with you that I’d love to see probability metrics there as well. They had 27 first downs and last night I couldn’t find anything on the length of each first down. 4th down feels like it’s a super tall task because of the finality of it all. But if you take a step back and look at the overall picture it’s meh it’s 8 yards and we have Josh Allen I like my odds. It feels to me like McDermott bailed himself out of taking responsibility there. It’s now not McDermott’s fault they lost. It’s Bass’ fault for missing the kick. I’m not here jumping up and down saying kicking it on 4th there is the worst idea ever and I know you are not saying the opposite. It’s just for me personally I look at the entirety of the situation. Defense stopped nothing. We have Allen. We have the ball and should be dictating the game at that point. Instead of passively allowing Mahomes to dictate for the remaining 1:40. Maybe McDermott thought he put Mahomes in the similar situation in the regular season game this year and won? But they got real lucky that game and were certainly not playing anywhere near the defensive level yesterday vs that regular season game. Anyways, my thoughts are all not absolutes. There’s levels of gray in between all of this. Bottom line we all have the same desires for this team all we see every year is failure. And all those failures look pretty similar.
  5. Because some people are afraid of success I guess and are just happy to see the Bills on national TV. I'd like to see a Super Bowl win at some point in my life and have seen enough to know McDermott will not deliver. I was convinced after the 13 seconds game and since then there has just been a lot more evidence piling on. Of course I was happy they won the division and beat Pitt last week. But that was just to dig them out of the huge hole McDermott's team building philosophy and in game blunders put them in. For me, it was either SB victory or the unemployment line for McDermott. I had seen enough. I'm not sure how much more evidence is needed to replace McDermott. Peterman, Houston playoff, wimpy AFCCG plan, 13 seconds, Denver game, Mac Jones 4 incompletions for the entire game, and today it was ultimately kicking the FG at the end of the game. Why is 4th and 8 an insurmountable obstacle? We have Josh Freaking Allen. They needed 24 feet for a first down, just a little more than the width of the room I'm currently sitting in. You kick a FG there and you hand the game to Mahomes. When he said he learned his lesson after the AFCCG and needed to be more aggressive he again failed at a critical moment. He played to lose again and make no mistake - even if Bass makes that kick they were losing. The D couldn't stop them all game and McDermott said as much as his reason to go for the fake punt. Yet at the final last grasp to stay in the game his idea was to tie the game, handing the ball back to Mahomes with plenty of time for them to win. You pay Josh Allen 1/4 of $B dollars to win these games. Put the ball in his hands. I don't hate the man, I respect the heck of a job he did to get the franchise to this point. Without McDermott and Daboll, Allen could have turned into Rosen or Darnold but they groomed him into the best player this franchise has ever had and will ever have. And that's great but as I see many players on this team reach new heights of their abilities, I have not seen McDermott grow much at all.
  6. I'll type slower for you. Shakir was wide open. In. The. Endzone. Allen was hit as he released the ball. The ball needed to travel about 43 air yards and travelled 42. Even noodle arm Tua has more than enough arm to make this throw.
  7. A ham sandwich can coach this team into the playoffs with Allen at QB.
  8. Dude just stop. You look like a complete idiot. The end zone play was there. It wasn't reckless, it wasn't a stupid decision, it was the right decision. Allen got hit as he was throwing and couldn't put it where he wanted. The receiver was wide open in the end zone. If Allen throws it to Diggs and we still don't score on the drive I'm sure you would be the first person here saying Allen should have thrown the ball in the end zone when the play was there. You should be wondering why we were at best playing for OT and most likely would have lost anyways in regulation. There were still 2 more downs to pick up 8 yards. Or why we constantly ran into the line on first down banging our heads into a brick wall when they were ripe for play action. Or giving McDermott everything he wants on D to come up short again. McDermott had the game he creams his boxers over - 186 yards rushing and dominating in time of possession. And he still lost.
  9. Our best chance to get McDermott fired was for Bass to make the kick. You know Mahomes would've gained the 40 yards he needed for KC to kick the winning FG. It's a crime that we have the best player this organization has ever had and will ever have in Allen to only play in 1 AFCG in 6 years. Next year they will be lucky to surpass 6 wins with their cap and age situation. Burrow will be healthy, Miami isn't going anywhere and NE will have a shot at a potentially great QB. Plus Rogers comes back for the Jets. This was their last shot for a couple of years. They're better off cleaning house now and regrouping.
  10. The 84-86 red helmet with blue facemask are my favorites. I liked the shade of blue used on their jersey and always thought the blue facemask looked good. A not too distant second is the 60 era throwbacks. I hope to never ever see the Bledsoe era jerseys again and wish someone would edit them out of all archived footage.
  11. Good deal I didn't think of that. I have Siri / Alexa turned off except for one Show device in my bedroom that I use as an alarm. But point being - I never thought to use those smart assistants for finding Bills/Sabres content. Thanks!
  12. what channel number on Sirius? Nevermind, Audacy finally caught up. Really wish they would go back to Radio.com I think it was. Audacy is a train wreck.
  13. You all need to stop with this stupid take in this thread and the other one about Josh. To somehow make up your mind that Josh no longer cares about football after watching a combined 5 seconds of sideline shots during a 3 hour game is complete insanity. Nobody wants a leader ranting and raving whenever there is a problem. That stuff gets old real quick.
  14. Got rid of Frazier, beefed up the O line and added weapons. If this was done 3 years ago the SB drought would've been over by now.
  15. Too strong to say he never deserved a roster spot but Aaron Schobel was never someone I was a fan of. Always touted by the announcers as a big time pass rusher and I would never see him show up when needed. Anecdotally his sacks seem to always come in garbage time.
