I don't think that's completely fair -- most of the fanbase was super high on him year 1 into year 2, but during the sophomore stretch and into the draft where they took Kincaid, he put together a fairly lengthy highlight reel of drops and letdowns. He definitely earned the "stone hands" type of reputation.
But I agree that he probably does take a fair bit more grief than he deserves, and is definitely a more complete tight end at this point than Kindcaid is. And when the catch is tough and you least expect him to make it, he pulls it in and can really impress you. When he goes full "Juggerknox" -- look out!
