  1. Yeah I mean it ain’t like we ignore the trenches, we just can’t identify great players for either side of it.
  2. Yeah look at tonight’s NFC game: two OC head coaches but the defenses are both playing nasty right now. Hiring a DC to run your team just isn’t the way to go in this league, and that’s only magnified when you have a talented QB who’s floundering cuz we have no one that can coach him up.
  3. This 9ers defense is so nasty.
  4. Our first rounder this year couldn’t even get on the field. Not a lot of Super Bowls are won by teams who field just one super-generational talent. On this team we have Josh and….?
  5. We didn’t use a single trick play all year that I can recall And Daboll sometimes got a little too cute at the wrong time, but to have not a single creative play in 18 games… that’s some Dick Jauron ball right there.
  6. Ed Oliver has to be the closest to elite I’ve ever seen from a JAG. But he’s never taken over and dominated a game and it’s pretty obvious that he’s never going to.
  7. For me it definitely helps dull the pain. Well, partially the venting, partially all the pills and alcohol 😅
  8. Yeah I said it in game thread but our ability to evaluate talent needs to be called into serious question. Beane bought a lot of goodwill by hitting on the Josh pick but his pro scouting and drafting have both been shaky at best all over the roster. For the number of high draft picks on defense to not turn up one single game changer is extremely concerning. Like, not every pick can be elite but that many swings to miss on every one?
  9. Yeah like others my chief concern is that this defense is playing the game exactly as McD wants it to be played. Even if Frazier is let go this offseason, does McD turn over the defense to an experienced coordinator with a different philosophy? It would be like the situation when we hired Rex and had Schwartz — two different types of defensive minds just aren’t going to co exist. I don’t see that happening. If he hires someone else they’re still gonna run the scheme as McD wants it to be run.
  10. Dorsey could easily be mistaken for Nate Hackett or Rico Dennison but for having JA at quarterback.
  11. I mean did you see Chad Henne step in for Mahomes and go 98 yards for a TD yesterday? Mahomes has the benefit of an all time great offensive play caller with literally decades of experience. This team is nothing without JA.
  12. Assuming 5 wins by this team without Allen is rather generous of you 😅
  13. McD has some admirable qualities, but is he cut out to win a championship? I don’t think so at this point. He’d be better suited to helping another floundering franchise rebuild. We’ve got an elite, generational QB being wasted on a soft culture and routinely poor in game management. I don’t see how he gets fired this year, but I honestly don’t think a coordinator swap changes the problem at the top right now.
  14. Poyer has value in this scheme but we need to rebuild this defense. It is not in any way “championship caliber” and it’s time to stop pretending that it is.
  15. It amazes me how much better other teams’ depth defense backs manage to play compared to our (rotation of) starters.
  16. Our ability to evaluate talent needs to come under some serious scrutiny this offseason.
  17. Multiple bodies in the backfield instantly on that run.
  18. If we’re being honest, Josh’s football IQ has really devolved this year. We need to get an experienced coordinator who can continue to develop him, not just be his buddy and assume he’s a finished product.
  19. Yeah and the investment to D to return we’ve gotten out of it just makes it so, so much worse.
  20. Hard to believe the guy who broke the drought and has the best winning % in franchise history could have so much poor perception among the fan base, but alas here we are. Nothing about this year has looked like anything but Josh Allen willing us to victory…
