If we’re being honest, Josh’s football IQ has really devolved this year. We need to get an experienced coordinator who can continue to develop him, not just be his buddy and assume he’s a finished product.

It’s not about whether our boom or bust offense is working or not— certainly this year it’s worked more often than it has not. But this thread is about the taking heads on ESPN picking the Bengals over the Bills. I’m just sayin I can’t fault anybody for going with a team that’s been taking care of the football and scoring with efficiency, even if their ceiling may not be as high as ours has been with the aggressive philosophy. I don’t think it’s any disrespect, they’re two good teams.

I meant to say Higgins not Boyd. Back to back 1000 yard seasons seems pretty elite to me for a no 2 receiver.

The Bengals have played more mistake-free football than the Bills by a wide margin, and if the game becomes a shootout the Bengals have two elite weapons (Chase, Higgins) compared to our one (Diggs). Can’t hate on anyone on the outside who picks them in this game, there’s enough objective reasons to justify it. 🤷‍♂️

This^ As pointed out, the Bills are statistically pretty good on third downs. But it feels like at least once a game we give up a third and 10 or more that just feels deflating. I'd be curious to know what percentage of our third downs surrendered are third and ten or more. I think as fans it's just cumulative fatigue from seeing that a lot this year.

He’s had more than a few great games towards the end of this year. Would be great if he’s really putting it all together. Hard to believe he’s been the play caller and center piece of this defense for five seasons already and he’s only 24, lol

They did have some success today, but against a third stringer starting a playoff game on the road you would hope for SOME success. Dolphins pass rush was consistently relentless and overall much stronger than ours. If we had played to that level, it would be more in line with the expectations from the investments we’ve made in the d line, imo.

Sometimes he gets too cute, but man I miss those Daboll gadget plays in the red zone. I don’t think Dorsey has a gadget play anywhere in his repertoire..

Most disappointing thing to me is here we are in the postseason again and for the third year in a row our pass rush is decidedly below championship caliber. How many offseason do we dump money and picks into this area to get the same lackluster result?

He’s dropped more than a fair share of easy catches and there’s been multiple times he hasn’t fought for a contested catch at all. I really wanted the guy to round out and reach his full potential this season but the results just aren’t there to say that he has. The no.2 receiver in an offense this pass happy should probably have more than 800 yards tbh

I mean as great as he can play at times, he’s guilty of just as much frustration as well. Just hasn’t become a complete, dependable player yet.

Got to remember Zach Wilson had his highest passer rating against this defense. For all their statistical accolades, they do not play aggressive even against weak QB’s.
