  1. Meh, cold showers are healthier for you anyway, there's a multitude of proven benefits. 🤓
  2. Yup. The resources we've put into the defense to be let down in excruciating fashion is honestly just too much to stomach. Makes me think we need new/difference criteria when evaluating who's a fit. Maybe less process/character types and more emphasis on talent? This defense could use a monster or two...
  3. The absolute most concerning thing about McDermott is how often we keep teams playing terrible QB's in the game, playoffs or not. Easton Stick, Mac Jones, Zach Wilson, Skylar Thompson, Rudolph, Tyrod, etc. etc. An elite defensive mind does not repeatedly lose and/or win one score games to these types of players. They dismantle them. They embarrass them.
  4. Something that's been on my mind for a while now is that while Beane has done a fairly good job of cutting losses and getting something for a guy we don't need/want anymore, he hasn't ever really "sold high" on an upper shelf type of player -- the sole exception being the fire sale we had year 1 / 2017 when McD and Beane decided to dump anyone who wasn't buying into their culture immediately. That's fine. But consider that we might have identified TreMaine Edmunds as someone we weren't going to make the top paid linebacker in the NFL before the '22 season started -- might we have traded him and gotten something back? Instead we spent all off-season monitoring whether we spent ourselves out of a comp pick for the guy. Consider that Gabe Davis never turned it on last year and moving him prior to this past season for a day 2 pick and signing Hopkins in his place would have had a huge effect on this season -- how many interceptions wouldn't have been thrown? How many big plays might D Hop have made for us? AND we could have possibly had a future pick to help restock moving forward. (maybe I'm overvaluing him going into this season, but I think his big games and big play potential could easily have gotten a rd3 out of someone) Unfortunately most of our "top shelf" type of talent right now is buried into their contracts with dead money. Diggs and Miller are unmovable, even if a team wanted them. Honestly coming into this off season we might not even have anyone of intrinsically high value -- those "pro bowl snubs" outside of Allen don't look like they were snubbed very much at this point. Might be we just don't have that level of talent some of us thought we did. But going forward McBeane might benefit from identifying they aren't going to keep a guy and making a move for top value while they can -- it certainly hasn't hurt KC after they did so with Tyreek.
  5. Is it just coincidence Josh hasn't thrown an interception since Gave Davis has been out? I wonder..
  6. We can't stretch the field, we can't separate and most importantly we can't catch the damn football. I'm ambivalent about keeping Brady or not, but it starts with us needing playmakers. After that, we need an OC to rebuild this offense from the ground up.
  7. The crowd can be a nuisance but ultimately only the defense can make the offense uncomfortable, and our defense was equivalent to a mild breeze in Mahomes' face last night.
  8. To be fair, that run heavy time-controlling attack is the only defense the Bills actually had this game. Otherwise KC just scores even more points even earlier.
  9. Well I'M certainly not if that's what you're implying, mister.
  10. Honestly most of the "ownage" of the Bills has been self-inflicted. Andy Reid didn't hire the Bills Special Teams Disaster squad and take them into the postseason. Andy Reid didn't call a non squib kick or off coverage during 13 seconds. KC really didn't do anything all that special tonight. A depleted defense, craptacular specialists / receivers and some boneheaded decision making just is what it is.
  11. Yeah but you can buy an awful lot of Trent Sherfield's for the price of just one D Hop
  12. Rivers was good, routinely top 10. Had a few years top 5. But if Josh's career unmercifully continues on this path, I think a more apt comparison is Marino.
  13. What 29 years of Bills fanhood does to a mutha...
  14. Philip Rivers should consider himself lucky if Josh let's him hold his jock strap on the golf course some time. Honestly I get the comparison, but Rivers was never one of the top 2 quarterbacks in the league EVER in his career.
  15. Just like the year we could have traded for Von to make a playoff push and held firm. What happened? KC rag dolled us, Rams went and got him, Rams won the super bowl. Bills always have that one move staring them in the face but don't want to pull the trigger. Or they do but it's too late...
  16. Sherfield and Diggs both whiffed on what would have been truly sensational plays. But then they've been doing that all year, so what else did we expect? Feed them all to the pit, I say!
  17. No, but don't worry we'll make all the changes we should have made this season next season (new kicker, new punter, new receivers) But then of course next season there will be a bunch of moves we should make that we'll wait another year on again and so on and so on it goes 😅
  18. I used to like Nantz and Romo but honestly they suck as much as the rest of them these days. 13 seconds OMG. Wide right OMG. Do they think they're being clever? FFS...
  19. Yeah all of our weaknesses finally caught up to us. Special teams. Receiving corps. Linebacker corps. Funny, all the people who complained about those units early in the year were dismissed as being negative nancy's and greeted with eyeroll emoji's, but... well, here we are. Sometimes even message board fans can call a spade a spade.
  20. The best coaches, like good chess players, think several moves ahead. Bills have routinely been late to adjust under McD, especially in the big games.
  21. We trotted out two probable liabilities at kicker and punter and low and behold they both showed up to cost us in humiliating fashion. What a tragedy. Obviously there's a lot of other problems, but man... Josh deserves so much better than the effort this front office puts in to surround him with a championship team.
  22. People said special teams was gonna cost the season early this year and got roasted for it. This is why people are vocal with the team’s shortcomings. Guess what? They matter.
  23. You could almost say Reid is lucky he’s such an elite play caller. Clock management always been weak.
  24. Running Cook into heavy fronts is a bad strategy.
  25. Who would have thought starting the injured punter would come back to bite us. So many poor coaching decisions in a game we couldn’t really afford any.
