  1. To be fair, it’s mostly the coaches and front office who made that possible for him.
  2. Yes. Just mostly each other 😆
  3. Beane has hit on exactly 1 big time, blue chip, all-world player in 7 drafts. Luckily for him, if you hit on that type of player at QB, it buys a LOT of job security and good will. But at some point that good will is going to run out. I mean in seven years, we can't find anyone who can disrupt the pass consistently? And it seems like the next best players he HAS found, are either oft-injured or simply don't impact the game on a regular enough basis. Oh, and the coaching is as bland and milquetoast as the talent is. Not a great recipe for a ring.
  4. He has energy, fundamentals and instincts. Which alone makes him generally more effective than the rest of the guys we’ve assembled.
  5. That’s our base defense 😆
  6. Our pass rush is ho hum when Von and Oliver are in the lineup.
  7. Honestly kind of surprising it’s taken this long for Allen to start trying to force things.
  8. I guess the f5 is a legal tackle now? Maybe they’ll change it in the off season lol 😂
  9. 9 prolly wins the division, honestly.
  10. The risk/reward makes sense to try it there tho. Unless McD is saving all 3 timeouts for his patented defensive t/o’s to end the half…
  11. Well first someone would have to catch it. That would be a nice start lol
  12. The only thing this team is coached to do uniquely well is disguise coverage, but that’s also predicated on our DB’s being experienced and smart. Having two inexperienced coordinators with only McD as an overseer just doesn’t bring enough competency or diversity of ideas. Coaching is a clappy echo chamber right now.
  13. Same reason we can’t execute or prevent a screen play, I imagine.
  14. Just remember it was “only preseason” back in preseason.. but when we still look this bad in the regular season then what is it? 😂
  15. I mean we had plenty of games that looked like this with Diggs. His loss isn’t the issue at play here.
  16. Josh plays markedly better at home. We clearly don’t have a plan to get him in an early rhythm on the road. Everything been looking hard from the get go. Lot of missed opportunities for play action too.
  17. “The basketball “? jfc these referees…
  18. We quietly got better… Then loudly got much, much worse 😅
  19. It’s like clockwork that they both have one strong game early in the year, we think they’re about to emerge as a superstar, then they fade into the background with sporadic contributions. Neither of them is a bad player by any means, but also neither of them is a top shelf, takeover the game stud.
  20. Nowhere in my post did I do that. I agree, it was a full team effort to suck that badly. All three phases were in lockstep, lol.
  21. Brady failed because the play was blown up from the get-go, and neither Samuel nor Josh were coached up enough to recognize and abort the play. We hadn't run a direct snap all year, so running a trick/gadget out of that look was piss poor decision-making. You run a trick once people are biting on something you've set up by after running the look vanilla. You run a trick once your players are comfortable enough to execute to perfection, and can recognize when to abort. Brady's called some great games but he deserves all the flack for that idea. McDermott, too.
  22. Not even close to the same. Cardinals made plays against us, but this was a complete beat down. Josh has led comebacks before, but the team never seems to be able to rebound and pull it off when the chips are really down. We never close out the tough ones.
  23. But they also had many games where they got rocked, were down big and then showed some resilience and battled back to win. Every game we start like this, ends like this. It would be nice to overcome adversity once in a while.
  24. I mean it’s very likely to be both.
  25. I mean we haven’t run a direct snap all year. Shouldn’t we have put that on film before running a gadget out of it? Thats like cardinal sin levels of stupid.
