    The team takes on the persona of their coach, and McDermott — who is a stand up human being — is a cream puff of a football coach. He and Brady did nothing to help Allen all game, other than run Cook. That’s it’s. They have no answers, no toughness.

    Until Allen has the benefit of two all-world coordinators like Mahomes does, it’s just not a conversation worth having. Allen is literally carrying this coaching staff to any semblance of relevancy.

    Their spy starts running to the right even before Allen does. Smothers him before he can get a pass off. It’s a good plan. When teams know your habits, it falls on coaches to find an answer. Late in the 4th they haven’t come up with anything to make it easier on Allen.

    Nice play Bernard! Although ultimately it vindicates our hang back softly and hope for a mistake defense. But having difference-makers in the lineup instead of backups does make a difference. If we could field a healthy defense for just once…

    Execution was overall quicker and crisper. Run and pass. We just can’t do long-developing plays on the road. We can’t execute them.
