  1. That was a fun drive to watch! Dare I wonder if we might see some play action this game?
  2. Davis and Johnson are running with authority!
  3. You bite your tongue. How dare you.
  4. You might not be the mod we need right now. But you’re definitely the mod we deserve. 🙃
  5. Completely agree. It also helps that Kelce is a once in a generation cheat code. The guy is a massive blow hard but his football IQ is top tier, he just constantly wiggles his way open against defenses whose main goal is to stop him. Rarely drops, rarely fumbles. Converts every time they need him to. Big part of that is also 8 years of chemistry with his QB, and the mastery of Reid’s offensive system. There’s no way to just duplicate that, even if you draft the same player next year that experience is irreplaceable.
  6. I had overate my dinner and was kinda feeling like I needed to binge. This should help the process along nicely, thanks for the help 👍
  7. The talent on hand is a big help, no doubt.
  8. Lions look good. I kinda thought Dan Campbell would be more of a flash-in-the-pan than someone who’d bring consistency to a program, but kudos to him. I love his energy.
  9. Imagine how many more commercials he could have had if he’d of played like this right out the gate.
  10. In years past he would be pressured all game and STILL hang in the pocket late, trusting his linemen-- only to get clobbered, fumble, etc. So I can totally understand where he might have developed this tendency.
  11. Why even go into the season with him if his seat was that hot? Should have been fired after that ridiculous Nick Boyle Hail Mary interception return TD last year. Instead you’re asking an interim HC to salvage your minuscule Super Bowl hopes with Rodgers’ swan song season? Stupid.
  12. For all of this regime’s faults I wouldn’t say a desire to win is the issue. I don’t think McDermott is a slacker or not competitive, by any means. But I do think his mentality is “commitment to the process” as opposed to “commitment to excellence.” I think that is the case 110%
  13. A rebuild year doesn’t excuse the manner in which we lost the last game. Unless you think McDermott’s in game decision making is being rebuilt, in addition to the roster?
  14. Part of it is that McDermott wants to "promote from within", which is fair enough. You want the lower level coaches to know they're going to get a fair crack at moving up in your organization, there's certainly nothing wrong with that in a nutshell. But I do think some part of it is that McDermott wants to micromanage control over both sides of the ball, and it's a lot harder to do that with an experienced coordinator who's going to bring their own system and challenge his opinions. He doesn't want another Daboll giving him grief. Which is unfortunate, because for the last two years the loss of Frazier and Daboll has meant a loss of decades of combined experience. And this team really needs some fresh ideas. The echo chamber just isn't cutting it.
  15. They aren't a Micah Hyde away from the super bowl this year. Hyde was an all-time favorite as a Bill. I'd hate to see him come out of retirement and risk further neck injury for the 2024 Bills, it's just not worth it.
  16. Yep, 100% I think Oliver and Brown are on reasonable deals for upper-level starters. Knox (and Kincaid frankly) I don't even know how to judge since we never game plan around either of them. I suppose that fact in itself makes it a poor contract. I like the idea of McBeane's commitment to home grown talent, but the actual reality of it hasn't borne much fruit.
  17. I think it depends on your definition of "good" I think he's good at finding McDermott-type process guys, who fit a certain mold. Team-first. Leadership-capable. Most of his picks will go on to contribute on game day, but the impact of said contributions certainly won't jump off the page. But aside from Josh, he simply hasn't drafted a single stud who can change the fortune of a game. And I'm not sure how fair it is to hold that against him, being as the Aaron Donald's and Chris Jones' and Travis Kelce's of the world don't grow on trees... but in seven drafts, you'd think he'd have come up with at least ONE other player in that hemisphere of talent. Because just ONE MORE player of Allen's caliber instantly changes the outcome of several games over the last seven years.
  18. When the Ravens were gifted the ball back in overtime, you just knew they were gonna roll the momentum into a win and sure enough King Henry obliged. I can’t imagine many of us would have the confidence of the Bills doing the same if presented with the Ravens situation there.
  19. Difference being Josh Allen makes this team. McNabb was decent in Reid’s system, just like Alex Smith was. But McNabb didn’t carry that team by any means.
  20. That Kincaid grab wouldn’t have been ruled a catch. His opposite foot and hand were out of bounds, even if that elbow touched green — and I’m not convinced it did. But from a tactical standpoint, it should have been challenged there. We didn’t need those timeouts, and it was worth the try in the moment.
  21. Robert Foster could actually track a ball in the air.
  22. At the very least, it burns enough clock that Houston prolly can’t get a play off after the punt. It was coaching malpractice of the highest degree.
  23. You make them burn timeouts and pick up hopefully 5-10 yards by running. The game was lost with only 2 seconds left to spare.
