  1. Those field goals would not be possible were it not for the QB executing well on offense in the drives that precede them. How many times does Brady just march down the field at will with less than 2 minutes on the clock? Perhaps AVin is the MVP but Brady is not as far behind as you may think.
  2. Ummm he DID call those plays. JP simply was unable to execute them. He did not step into his throws and often times gave up on a play and took off running.
  3. Are you pregnant with JP's child? It sure seems that way. Moulds is the consumate professional and plays his butt off on every down. I have seen that over the last 8 years. There isn't much Moulds can do when he's open and JP just takes off scrambling instead. Or when JP throws the ball over his head and into the hands of an opposing corner (see New Orleans).
  4. C'mon, dog... make a fellow Indian proud. You're not being smart here. 1. Houston is NOT comparable to the Jets and Dolphins. End of story, check your facts. 2. JP pretty much was the same all 3 games (one at home 2 on the road). The coaches saw the film, saw numerous missed opportunities, and decided to make a switch. It was even evident on TV that JP was missing open receivers and was too hesitant to pull the trigger at times. When a QB is hesitant in the pocket and takes off for scrambles, that is suicide for your offense. 3. Again, check your facts. In the Atlanta game, the Bills had more time of possession than than the Falcons, but could not convert that into points. Atlanta: 29:11 Buffalo: 30:49 4. KH is yet to see the above. Let's see how he plays these next two weeks. Two road games, two relatively difficult places to play. Stop the whining. Bills are 2-0 under Holcomb. 1-3 under Losman.
  5. I have been eagerly awaiting this opportunity.
  6. I could not have said this any better. For those of you whining about Holcomb and claiming that JP would have won these games, please read the aforementioned post. Thank you.

  8. Sure. But you did say that neither should have been TDs and it is this type of qualification that I have a problem with. Holcomb executed a passing play in the red zone and has made accurate, timely throws. Perhaps a lot of it had to do with the effort of the receiver, but there is something to be said about putting the ball in an area where the receiver can make a play. I simply do not agree that Holcomb's TD passes deserve an asterisk besides them. They were TDs and should have been TDs and they are TDs. But yes, agreed.. Holcomb should continue to play.
  9. Ummm... Moulds spent extra time with Losman during the offseason. He backed the decision to cut Drew and he played his butt off when Losman was on the field. But Losman clearly was not getting it done and the season was in danger of going down the tubes. Hines Ward had the benefit of a rookie QB who "got it" from the moment he stepped on the field. Not to mention, Big Ben was a HUGE upgrade over Maddox. That is not the case in Buffalo. Not only is Losman a downgrade from Holcomb (at this stage), he is not ready yet to be a starter in the NFL.
  10. Ridiculous. People think JP wasn't given the chance to dink and dunk but the fact of the matter is that in a large portion of those incompletions, the primary option was a short route, but Losman never hit them. Often times he'd just throw over everyone's head or just chuck it out of bounds because he doesn't have the confidence in his accuracy to thread the needle on short passes. If you really think JP would have won the past two games, you are dreaming. He's just not there yet.
  11. Agreed. I didn't see any drops the past few weeks. He has been nothing short of a playmaker. Those who suggested that he'd get boo'ed taking the QB situation public need to lighten up. He *is* the team leader.
  12. You people are pathetic. People base their donations on real-time events all the time. If he wants to use the Bills record as his donating threshold, then so be it. Amazing how you criticize someone who says they will donate conditionally. Did he say he'll keep the money if he loses the bet? Not necessarily.
  13. Nobody is saying that Holcomb is Brady, but the point Holcomb's Arm makes is a vaild one. From a talent evaluator's standpoint, Bledsoe would have won out in a heartbeat. Big, strong, cannon arm and extremely accurate. That's why the Rob Johnson experiment lasted 4 years in Buffalo. But there comes a point where you have to rank a QB by his wins and losses. A lot of people ragged on Flutie while he was in Buffalo because he did simlar things... throw great short routes, horrible deep routes, and was often mediocre at best. However, he won games. That's what it's all about, isn't it? Of course, you're right -- if we lost the game, Holcomb might have been the goat. But the point is... we didn't!
  14. 3 Super Bowls later... What was Belichick thinking?
  15. I have to go with BuffOrange here, Kelly. Here's the thing -- you're right in the fact that JP didn't miss a lot of 5 yard outs.. that's because he rarely threw them. In order to execute such pass plays, a QB needs to be extremely accurate and have confidence to "thread the needle" so to speak. JP had no such confidence. All too often, when a short to intermediate route was called, JP would either end up scrambling, or just throw it out of bounds because the receiver wasn't "open enough." Well guess what. In the NFL short routes, more often than not, dont involve wide open receivers standing on an island by themselves. Holcomb has shown he's more than adequate in executing these plays and his effectiveness has brought about a newfound confidence in the offense as a whole.
  16. I agree with you that Holcomb is not one of the top 10 QBs in the NFL and he certainly isn't blessed with amazing skills. But when are people going to stop whining and realize that the guy is getting it done? He's not a franchise QB but he's a QB that brings wins to this franchise. As a fan, that is what I want. Qualifiying his TD passes as "plays that shouldn't have been TDs" is crazy-talk. All I need to know about Holcomb is that he executes the offense and moves the chains -- something that JP showed in spurts but not on a consistent basis. We could make a similar argument about how bad JP has been. Although he only has 2 or 3 interceptions, that number should be 7 or 8, given how many easy INTs the opposing corners dropped.
  17. You do realize we have lost 3 of our last 4, right?
  18. I'll be already drunk, stumbling out of the BART. Cya guys there.
  19. I disagree to a certain extent. Jonas Jennings, when he wasn't injured, was an adequate LT. He was beaten a few times, but not nearly as often as Gandy. Gandy has been manhandled by opposing defenses and is simply not an adequate solution at the LT position. Jerman was worse, but that doesn't mean Gandy was a whole lot better. TMQ said it best: "During the past five drafts, the Bills have invested eight No. 1 and No. 2 picks in the glamour positions of quarterback, running back and wide receiver; against only one first- or second-round pick invested in blockers. "
  20. Yes. And we must nurture that flower and smile as the losses continue to pile up.
  21. Agreed. It is possible to learn on the bench.
  22. Based on today's performace, Holcomb should be allowed to play on. While you ask: "What did the offense do in the second half?", I ask: "How many mental mistakes did Holcomb make during the game? The answer to my question is ZERO. Holcomb, while not stellar by any means, played mistake-free, turnover-free football. Aside from a botched handoff that appeared to be McGahee's fault more than his, Holcomb's throws were right on the money, he made quick decisions and did not throw any game-killing interceptions the way JP has done. JP is still young, he has some bad habbits and doesn't yet know how to read complex defenses and it has shown in the past 4 weeks. He is lucky he doesn't have 5 more INTs because he has thrown it directly to defenders, only for them to drop the ball. If we continue to play mistake-free football on offense, the points will come. Holcomb showed me that he is capable of that. I say ride that train.
  23. Yeah. He should hold onto the passes that sail over his head or go out of bounds. What games have you been watching?
  24. "befeft" -- I like that word. Takes me back to the SATs
