  1. What's retarded is the fact that you couldn't figure out that McCargo was not worth the steep price the team paid for him and that he was vastly overrated by the Bills' front office. And you'd still keep an overrated, overpaid, and under-motivated player on your team for "depth" purposes? Wow... that speaks for itself! Ellison, Simpson, Kyle Williams, and to a certain degree Butler are fringe starters at best. I'd argue that Youboty is the best of the bunch, aside from Donte of course. Yes, he should, though Kyle Williams is... well, Kyle Williams. If Trent Edwards continues to grow and develops into a top QB, I don't care what ANY of the picks Marv made were... that pick alone changes the course of this franchise and Marv should get all the credit in the world. But the McCargo pick was so plain and obvious at the time (even to the other 31 teams) that it's painful to think about what could have been.
  2. They might very well be. They just don't have Donte's PR savviness.
  3. The Ravens have ranked in the top 3 in rush defense and Ngata is a big part of that. The Bills passed on Ngata because they felt they could give up the farm for McCargo later on in the draft... that turned out great, didn't it?
  4. When you pass on a blue-chip DT for a safety, then follow that up by trading a high 2nd and 3rd for the rights to a DT who was riding the coat tails of Manny Lawson and Mario Williams, you deserve some criticism. Thanks Marv for hiring a great coach, picking Trent Edwards, and restoring some order to the franchise. But that draft was not a good one.
  5. He understands PR, that's for sure
  6. I am offended by your word usage.
  7. How about growing a pair? (No offense intended)
  8. No. But would the Bills have a better chance of winning the game with TE in there? Yes.
  9. If it wasn't vindictive, it was just plain dumb. If he wasn't in their long-term plans, they should have cut him in the offseason so that they don't have to pay him. With this boneheaded move, they are paying him to comfortably sit on his butt at home. Not to mention it's a contract year, when they could probably squeeze out a very good season out of him... this was a pretty piss poor decision by management. He had 100% attendance in OTAs -- missed only one workout so that he could get married. He was team captain last year. He led the team in tackles. There is absolutely no reason to NOT want him back for the final 11 games of the season.
  10. You're a joke. A 3rd string QB over a veteran leader on the defense who is a tackling machine for 11 games + playoffs. Really??? Ellison's a pretty good player. But if he gets injured, the Bills will pay the price, and it won't be pretty. Tim, Bills fans are the greatest fans in the world. No matter what move their team makes, they march in full support. If the Bills replaced Marshawn Lynch with Dwayne Wright, posters would rush to the front office's defense!
  11. Agreed. And where the hell you been?
  12. Well... most of what the Bills have done HAS been wrong, which is why they have one of the longest playoff droughts in the NFL, along with perennial doormats like the Detroit Lions. They showed great promise last week... but the team was at home against a team that was far from healthy. I still think Dick Jauron is a great coach -- under him, this team has overachieved -- even at 7-9.
  13. If the Sabres can get $800K per year for the naming rights, the Bills can get double that. Adding $1-2M per year in pure operating income when you're a small-market team is significant. But God forbid Ralph remove his name from his stadium!
  14. Of course it matters what we gave up to acquire a player! When you give up a high 2nd and a high 3rd for a player in a deep draft, he better be good. The Chargers traded up for Eric Weddle and were criticized for giving up such a large sum -- but he's a starter and has played very well.
  15. Pass blocking has never been a problem since last year. Pretty solid unit as far as that's concerned. Run blocking has been rather inconsistent... I still worry about how the team will close out a close game with shoddy run blocking. Good first game though
  16. This, my friend, is a VERY good point.
  17. And I got vilified for stating that McCargo was a reach.
  18. If anyone's the troll it's you. Crowell has been one of the team's most consistent performer over the years. To put him on IR for a 2-4 week injury is just plain asinine. Especially with this team's depth at linebacker. This is a JV front office at it's best. It's the same front office that has produced one of the longest playoff droughts in the NFL. What do they get in return? Promotions!!! Each and every one of them!
  19. Nobody disputed Donte's ability to talk. He's talks a big game, but his play thus far hasn't measured up to the talk. He's a leader, but give me Ngata any day of the week.
  20. Great read. He certainly "talks" like an elite safety. Here's hoping he plays like one this year.

  22. ... and Langston Walker and Derrick Dockery make waaaay more coin than those guys do. Therefore, they are better!
  23. Considering the Bills haven't sniffed the postseason in nearly years... YES
  24. They flat out s**t the bed on that trade... and it was as obvious then as it is now that it was a bad move.
  25. I agree on the importance and significance of QB... but Marv's first draft was very questionable given what was available. BTW Biscuit, my boys Dvoracek and Daneal Manning had great games last night... still think McCargo is a better value?
