I think the draft has proven you can easily get a game changer at RB outside of the first round. No more FAs, phase shady more to change of pace/receiver, and get a rookie rolling.

I agree Allen didn't have a great day, but no one is picking him up, when was the last time a receiver made an amazing catch to help out thier QB? I've seen way more drive killing drops than drive saving catches all season. Allen has a long way to go, but he also doesn't have the luxury of talent around him to make him look good and balance his deficiencies.

[Incomplete Title] As an admitted McDermott detractor

I like mcD. I think he's still learning a lot. I don't like the conservative play on defense today but I think we need a change on special teams. Not to mention we had some key injuries that hurt today -

Terrible throw, but no one made a play for the rookie QB the last 2 weeks. Drop after drop. And defense didn't go after darnold at all, played so conservative on defense. -

This is where we need that qb pressure we have at home. -

Like I said last week, Allen feeds off confidence. It was an ugly pass but you gotta pick up your QB. Clay drops it, Allen loses confidence in helis receivers and forces the run -
Julio Jones and the 2019 Bills

Just from the way the NFL is going as far as it being an all passing with a sprinkle of defense kind of game these days. I see more speedsters getting drafted, tyreek is deadly cuz mahomes can throw a moon ball and tyreek just out runs everyone and gets under it. Guess who has one of the few, possibly the only QB with a bigger arm... obviously mahomes and hill are much more than speed, but a skilled speedster could be deadly paired with a possession receiver and a match up nightmare at TE. Probably take more than one season to build but I think that's the direction most offenses are going. -
Until we sort this officiating we are going nowhere

I've honestly become accustomed to the defensive penalties, it's obvious the NFL wants high scoring offensive battles but the blatant PI on Jones on the drop play was bad, I truly believe Brady would have got that call every single time, especially in the 4th. -
Allen's Last Pass (12/2): Bad Pass or Drop?
Norcalbillsfan replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Scrambling, offset feet, arcoss the feild, and a pretty deep pass. Ya it was an ugly ball but If you watch clay judged it wrong, had plenty of time to come up make the easy catch and walk into the end zone. The only thing I can think is when the game is almost over and it's on the line, maybe clay was thinking of staying in the end zone instead of coming back to the ball. -
I'm still on the fence if Allen is the future of the franchise, but I absolutely believe he CAN be. It's going to take the front office to make it happen. He has the physical ability, but as we saw today Allen's best weapon is a wr3 on most teams. And confidence is a huge factor for a young QB. Does Allen have any confidence in any of his receivers will come up and make a play for him? Does he have confidence his o line will give him time to set his feet and scan the feild? Right now he has a defense that plays tough and keeps the score close, other than that the front office needs to surround him with weapons.
