That's a good point, he might wait until next year, where the cap is more clear. But at the same time he has alot going for him this year to demand a massive contract. Josh knows every game and every practice you can have a teddy Bridgewater or Alex Smith injury, id imagine he would like to lock up a deal as soon as possible.

But its not about if your worth mahomes money at this point, mahomes performance isn't the Gauge on amount of money to pay other QBs, its where your team would be without that QB, it's franchise qb money. Josh knows and the bills know you don't find a top 5 qb in the draft or FA every year, and we all know what the bills would have looked like without him this season. You have to pay him, there's not much choice. The NFL is a QB league, if you don't pay a franchise QB franchise money, someone else will in an absolute heartbeat.

I dont see moving on from Allen as a remote possibility, even if he asks for way too much, what do we do? Go get watson? Pay him just as much and lose three 1st round picks? Start the search in the draft again? Matt Stafford on the tail end of his career? There's no possible way the bills can let him walk.

I dont think mcd or daboll want a true rb1 I think they wanted a committee but a committee needs speed. Moss or even Singletary that split with a speed rb could work. Like what Hines brings to the Colts, hes not bell cow but he can break off a 30 yard run on a simple dump off, Singletary and moss will never do that, they get caught by linebackers and D ends. Just the presence of speed makes the defense adjust.

Imagine next season if we have a RB with speed in the flats for josh to dump off too -
We don't need an every down bell cow, just speed. With joshs abilities an rb with speed on those 3rd down in the flats would be huge. Singletary demands no respect cuz he can easily be ran down by a slow linebacker. Speed at rb and a mobile qb is a tough assignment for LBs.

Worst play of game: Singletary drop, the drop had lasting effect. It stopped a solid drive while bills were up, pulled Singletary and we have a 3rd string rb on the feild. I think it affected the bills mental game, knowing they had to be perfect all night and that was a gimmie. Best play: Josh Allen's first down scramble, brought some life and showed everyone the athlete he is. What I learned: 1. It really showed tonight just how much we rely on josh and his abilities. I honestly belive mcd and Frazier knew the only way to win was to ask Josh to score over 40 and hope for a few stops on D. 2. Not having speed on offense especially at rb hurt us all year and it bit us tonight. Daboll can't call draws, screens, swing passes, cuz Singletary gets caught from behind or worse. Josh needed that weapon tonight. 3. Giving weapons to your qb works out well (see cheifs for example). The bills needed Josh to score 40 points by himself. The cheifs needed mahomes to place the ball in kelce, hill, hardman, ceh,Williams hands and not turn the ball over. 4. But tonight really showed me how great Allen was for us all season. He really did get us there and just imagine what's possible if we keep surrounding him with weapons. The future is bright. Proud bills fan.
