Hubbard getting mahomes to the ground won the game. Mahomes was a little skiddish after that and threw a pic to lose the game.
-
Defensive play makers, Hubbard coming up and hitting mahomes and finishing him to the ground won the game. Bills didn't have anyone come up hit mahomes and get him to the ground.
-
So thats what a game changing play maker on defense looks like...

He's good enough right now, the TE isn't a focal point for our offense but he's getting better every year. He's an absolute freak athlete and hasn't played TE position very long he probably just now has gotten the same amount of snaps that sophmore or rookie TEs have. The TE position takes a long time to master in the nfl. But once they do they seem to have long careers, kelce is 32 and still wrecking defenses, and Knox is much more athletic than kelce and gronk.

Offseason Trade Prediction: We acquire Saquan
Norcalbillsfan replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
True saquon now is an injury risk. But when he's healthy there is no question he's a massive upgrade to our offense. In no way am I advocating to get saquon but there's no doubt qbs dream of a rb like a healthy saquon. I don't think moss was given a solid chance to prove what he can do, and not necessarily that he was a total bust but the bills themselves made the mistake of drafting 2 rbs that are very similar. It's unfortunate that moss kinda brings the same style of running that Singletary does, so if Singletary is doing good and doesnt fumble why put in moss? I don't think it's moss's fault that's his style of game, it was just a miscalculation of the bills that the combination of 2 similar rbs would be successful. -
Offseason Trade Prediction: We acquire Saquan

I agree I'm always open to ideas on improving the team and Barkley does that day 1. But the giants don't have a reason to trade him, and I don't think many teams want to spend 7 mill on him for 1 year. Granted the only teams that would do that are a team like the Bills making a superbowl push. But it's pretty obvious modern day nfl that paying money for a rb is a massive mistake. I'd bet the panthers and cowboys would go back and not sign big money to rbs. The formula for modern nfl is draft rbs pay them rookie deals, wash rinse repeat. This was the bills plan but they swung and missed on moss. Now we need to replace Singletary before his contract is up. -
True, these qb Contracts have crippled their franchises in many ways but other than maybe wilson a few years ago those qbs aren't in the same conversation as the teir of Allen, mahomes, Rodgers. Mahomes and Rodgers have established themselves as once in a lifetime talents, its looking like josh is pretty much there as well. The qbs listed here are more the category of the "we probably can't find better so let's surround him with talent" but you have to pay them a bloated contract cuz some other starving team will. And thats when franchises fall into a hole. Many of my friends are raiders fans, and I've always told them carr is the downfall of the raiders, hes a great guy and a solid qb. But he's that perfect amount of just good enough but not good enough, and he will always command a healthy contract that will take money from the cap thats needed else where but will never have the mahomes/allen factor.
-
It comes down to hitting on picks and cheap FA that out perform their contracts. The cheifs have to pay mahomes yes, but they just hit an absolute home run on Humphries and looking the same for Bolton. Two guys they get to pay pennies for the next 4 years, that's what championship teams do. I've been waiting too many years for this. Just let me pay for a "bills app" that gives me all live games and everything bills for a monthly fee.

Quality rbs are gonna fall really far in this draft. We could see great returns on a late round rb. But honestly I just want speed at rb. Look at brieda was able to do when he knew the plays or didn't fumble, he had some electric plays. It was wild to see a Bills rb blow past a LB. I'm sure I sound like a broken record at this point but not giving josh a speedy check down option or home run hitter in the screen game is wasting joshs talent.

Brian Daboll hired to be Head Coach of NY Giants
Norcalbillsfan replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Trubisky. And there's not alot of better prospects for trubisky as a starter than the giants. Your head coach was your oc and you already know the playbook. You only have to beat out a struggling jones, a qb that the head coach didn't draft and doesn't know a system that has been said to be difficult to pick up. Unless for some unseen reason daboll didn't like trubisky this year I think trubisky would jump at the opportunity beat out a struggling jones. What other team has an easier path to starting? Maybe steelers and redskins but i bet both go for their next franchise guy in draft then mitch is taking a bridge qb spot and maybe he doesn't mind that but the giants aren't drafting a qb this year, so if he goes in and wins that job and plays well he's the guy in NJ. -

I would find it hard to believe that daboll doesnt take a qb that's had a year learning his system and playbook to compete with the likes of fromm and Jones. Personaly trubisky is better than both. -

So good bye trubisky as well -
Has a DC with a #1 defense ever been fired? I'm sure that would go over well in the media lol. I don't know about firing the guy but I'm not sad at all if he gets a head coach job. I'm right there with you on trade edmunds, won't happen but I'm all for it. I really hope we draft his replacement this year.
-
Agree with alot of your points, unfortunately I don't think we can rely on Feliciano even as a backup, hes proven to be so unreliable with health. I would be very surprised if we were able to keep trubisky, especially how cheap we got him. I would imagine trubisky probably isn't happy with the amount of playing time he got, I'd bet he was planning on a few more blowout games to go out and show his skill with an elite offense in some garbage time but it didn't happen this year. I'd bet he's ready to be a starter somewhere and he would quickly follow daboll. And I think it's imperative that we get josh some speed weapons, at rb or wr, preferably both.

That's a good point, this front office has shown it likes to get proven veterans at reciever. If beane goes all in this year drafting an unproven rookie at reciever might not be an option. Gabe Davis becoming a star has really made things easier on the front office, imagine you lose to the Chiefs, then you start next year with you lose Sanders and possibly Mckenzie and beasley. If Gabe Davis didn't pan out the bills would be stressed this off season.
-
Ya there's plenty of track stars out there, we need football speed. If Mckenzie leaves then I think we need speed at wr, but I think there's no question we could use speed out of our backfield. It blows my mind we don't have a great screen game with a qb like Allen. A change of pace guy with speed that can burn a defense if he gets a swing pass in space would add a huge element to Allen's arsenal.

Watched the draft last year with my best friend (broncos fan), im yelling at my tv "draft bolton!" Over and over. Fast forward to last Sunday, same friend is watching the game with me. Bolton makes his second tackle for loss, my friend says " isn't that the guy you wanted the bills to draft" and starts laughing.

My opinion 1. Offensive line, things looked good for us down the stretch but we are one injury away from a jaguars performance and that's unacceptable. I say we draft one, can't afford a solid fa. This also helps josh, and shows him your investing in his protection. 2. CB 2 in draft, depending how the draft plays out if we can get value at the pick round 1 do it. 3. SPEED, SPEED, more speed. Mckenzie sounds like he's not coming back. I feel like the bills dont take advantage of screens cuz they lacked the speed or trust at rb. Josh needs a speed demon either at wr or out of the backfield. I'd love to see both, but a rb is more doable in the draft, this draft doesn't have a rb predict to be drafted until mid round 2, there could be serious value at rb in the 4th round and later. And if we really could have our cake and eat it too, a speedy rb that can return kicks. 4. Find replacement for star. Phillips played well 2nd half of the year but I'd like to see cap savings by cutting star and finding a replacement. 5. This one won't be popular but draft edmunds possible replacement. I'm not saying cut edmunds this season, but draft competition and possible replacement. Wether your an edmunds fan or not he will probably command more money than the bills will want to spend. Do we wait until his deal is up and have no option behind him? Be forced to give him a bloated contract, or let him walk and try to pay for a FA or draft a rookie and throw him out there day one and hope it works? Draft a guy this year rotate him in, groom him let him learn the D for a year.

Allen declines invitation to play in Pro Bowl

Unless they ever do a deep ball contest where josh can destroy everyone on national TV I will continue to not watch the pro bowl -
SB Nation article - Josh a mega star
Norcalbillsfan replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
True it does get harder to sign big money free agents and replace those that leave. But that's why drafting is so important. Chiefs are a great example, creed Humphries is in rookie of the year talk when excluding chase. Look what nick Bolton did to us as a rookie on the big stage. It looks like the chiefs hit 2 home runs and have them on rookie deals.
