1st half thread: Bills vs Colts preseason week 1

Would have liked a hard count then snap, but that was a solid drive. Would have been an easy 3 in regular season. -
Fans throw things at Diggs and Allen
Norcalbillsfan replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Have a feeling guys willing to throw items at players aren't actually fans. They came to get their ***** signed to sell on eBay, so they don't care if they embarrass themselves or piss off players. -
Roquan Smith has requested a trade

I'd love it, but there's no way we afford what he's gonna want. -

Go BOLD - 2022 NFL Bold Predictions
Norcalbillsfan replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
NFL: Cheifs lose wild card Broncos get #1 seed Cardinals miss playoffs Vikings make playoffs Titans miss playoffs Bills: Josh does not finish as #1 fantasy qb, less rushing yards and tds Bills lose to dolphins and Pats once each Bills get a slow start and don't earn 1 seed and get doubted, josh uses the doubt and takes the hard path to SB. James cook scores 2 tds against rams and fantasy community loses their minds, but cook is boom bust for fantasy rest of year but good for the team. -
Warren Sapp: Kaep Workout With Raiders "A Disaster"
Norcalbillsfan replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont understand why people forget this. I feel like so many people only think of his super bowl run and then he magically lost his job immediately after that because of protesting. I live in California, niner fans were DONE with him. I remember Jerry Rice even said he needs to be benched. He was just not a good qb. -
Rousseau and Basham at the Von Miller Pass Rush Academy
Norcalbillsfan replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Everyday at practice is going to be pass rush academy for our young pass rushers, not to mention our tackles getting to practice against the best. Still can't get over how great the signing is. -
Overrated team with a very overrated QB. Might be a hot take for some nfl fans but I can't stand how overly hyped Dak is when I've seen him have nothing but elite o line, rbs, and wr1s but never take over a game with his skills or lead his team with his arm talent over quality opponents. But yet he's always talked up as a top 10 qb that is always a superbowl contender.

I'm just trying to make sense of it, that's all he brings to the table is speed and experience so dorsey obviously wants more speed options. I don't see him making the 53 but dorsey must want speed enough to kick the tires on Austin.

Dorsey wants some speed options

Dak over Stafford? Hurts over Ryan and cousins? Hurts did nothing but fight to keep his job last year

First ever Buffalo home game- MNF against Titans
Norcalbillsfan replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall
Personal opinion you can't go wrong, the worst wings in buffalo will be better than most wings in the US. But you wanna say you came to buffalo and had one of the famous places like Duffs or bar bills or Gabriels gate. But my wild card place that I didn't expect to be great is resurgence brewing. Get some good beer and great wings, the blue cheese is excellent. -
Are there any NFL teams with a #1 QB worse than Baker Mayfield?
Norcalbillsfan replied to tomur67's topic in The Stadium Wall
Funny how trubisky was given zero chance of success in a famously terrible organization for qbs and he's grinding away with out pointing fingers. Baker was given an excellent o line, elite recievers, elite rb, solid TEs, and good defense. And all he does is point fingers. I do think he's better than many starters in the nfl but what bad team wants to bring baker in for a 1 year rental and then probably have to over pay him and possibly miss out on a good qb draft class. -
Rd 2, Pick 63 (31): RB James Cook, Georgia
Norcalbillsfan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
CEH was a "fully committed to mahomes and give him what he wants" mahomes said he wanted CEH so they got him to appease mahomes. His skill set couldn't be more different from cook, yes ceh can catch the ball well but he was brought in to be the bell cow power back that can catch the ball. Cook is being brought in to be the miss match for LBs in the passing game putting defenses in a tough spot if they want to run the 2 high. CEH can bruise you up the middle and grind out a clock but hes not a miss match for LBs. I would compare CEH to more Singletarys style but with much better hands. -
Rd 2, Pick 63 (31): RB James Cook, Georgia
Norcalbillsfan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldnt say it was a reach when I was petrified we were going RB in the 1st, even if it's breece Hall. I think if cook plays to his potential his impact could be more than we think. What leads me to believe that is we have a new coordinator, and we went after mckissic hard. What that tells me is beane asked dorsey what he wants for his offense, and it seems like a pass catching specialist was high priority considering we signed Duke and drafted a pass catching RB with speed. Dorsey must have a plan to get RBs involved in the pass game. And as much as we like Singletary pass catching isnt his game, cook is a better pass catcher and route runner day 1 of practice. If cook studies the play book and knows his role (see Matt brieda) I think he has more of an impact than just a simple spell back to Singletary and we see a return on investment for a 2nd rounder. -
Totally agree, I dont think many people realize yet what defenses will have to do on passing downs with cook on the feild. If cook plays to his potential, LBs now have to worry about josh scrambling and either letting cook get behind them or make an open feild tackle on cook on a simple dumpoff or screen. Just another thing defenses have to worry about.
-
I feel pretty much the exact same way, in love with the value of Shakir and I'm a bronco fan. But over all I think I'm most excited about watching josh roll out and instead of having to make an amazing play with his feet he dumps it off to cook and cook out runs the LBs and picks up an easy 1st down for josh. Just a simple but huge factor the bills have been missing.

Rd 6, Pick 180 (1): Punter Matt Araiza, San Diego State
Norcalbillsfan replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was actually wondering about this if the bills did draft him. I'm sure it's something a professional athlete could master, as long as your not named bojo. Or hell if Barkley wants to contribute on the feild... -

Cb2 ✔️ RB that can house a dumpoff ✔️ Wr with yac upside✔️ No longer an embarassment at punter✔️ Now if we can get some offensive line depth I'll be ecstatic. -
Rd 5, Pick 148 (5): WR Khalil Shakir, Boise St
Norcalbillsfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills fans grab pitch forks after the Terrell pick, but relatively silent at arguably one of the biggest steals at the wr position. I couldn't be more excited. If diggs davis or Crowder have to miss time he can fill in anywhere and be dangerous. I bet Allen is watching khalils highlights, seeing how dangerous he is on screens. -

Saw this dude consistently mocked in the 3rd. Might be my favorite pick, as a Boise state fan I watched the broncos just put the ball in this guy's hands cuz he just makes things happen.
