If this happens, Murphy and Shaq are gone. At least Shaq will be . We just added another pass rusher and resigned Yarborough. Clark's price may be too high, but if we throw in Murphy or Shaq to the deal, he might not be too expensive. I also think a post draft signing of Suh is unlikely, but not impossible if we don't go DT in round 1 or 2.

I try not to engage in unwarranted projection this early on, but I'm really excited about this guy's potential. I suppose anything's possible at this point, but his resume is impressive. He's definitely tough enough to play in the NFL.

No. I have none of the above symptoms. Josh will usually be good for a highlight reel play or 2 most weeks, but consistency is what wins championships. When I see him consistently throwing accurate passes into tight windows, I'll get excited. Until then, I'll just hope I finally get to see us win a SB before I leave this world. My greatest fear is that he'll be the next Tannehill -- just good enough to hang around too long and not good enough to take us to the dance.

It should be obvious. Beane didn't fare well in round 1 last year. He drafted the QB with the worst accuracy in his class, then traded up to reach for a MLB that hits like a cheerleader, giving up a valuable 3rd round pick and 2 2nd round picks in the process.

And lost us Mahomes.

Another 1st round critical error by Beane, maybe? After last year's 1st round, I'm hoping he can also have one of those post-rookie season upticks.

I thought his best was a 56 yard TD against the Colts when he ran around the strong side, saw heavy pursuit and took it back around the other way, then back again. No other RB had his vision and ability to cut back.

After FA, I'd say a game changing receiver or RB would help a lot, but as far as the win column goes, we would be best served by a run crushing DT and a DE that could turn our ability to pressure QB's from 20-something to top 5. Get after it without having to rush more than 4 and watch the turnovers go way up along with the wins. If there was another AB out there, he might be my top draft crush, but there isn't.

For what it's worth, Madden 19 says King's Kick Power (KPW) is 97 and his Kick Accuracy (KAC) is 91. Darr is 91/79. Bojorquez is 94/77. Our punters are 2 of the worst in the NFL. I know it's not QB, but we definitely need an upgrade. What is meant by "flambouyant" anyways? Do we really care when he's such a huge upgrade?

I was so pumped when Denver passed on Darius to draft Von Miller instead. Looks like Elway had it right all along. Dareus is easily my biggest dissapointment in recent years and not because he's a just above average DT but because he could have been a HOF'er if he wanted to be and he threw it away. I'm glad he's blowing up someone else's cap now. So sad. Yet another poster crediting Beane and McDermott for Whaley's last draft. Truly amazing.

Until at least the end of 2019 we won't know. Looks good on paper doesn't cut it. Remember the "dream team"? A big leap (No pun intended) out of Allen and Edmunds would be a big help. Neither of them impressed me in year 1. We are full of average players where last year we were starting backup caliber guys. Now we need the game changers -- guys like AB, JJ Watt, Brady. This coming draft is still make or break and our D needs help a LOT more than I think many people realize.

Excellent article! I seriously hope that a change in mechanics can improve Josh's accuracy substantially. If so, look out. I'll believe it when I see it, but I am definitely hoping for it to happen. Is David Lee available?

We have 7 day 3 picks. Another scenario is to move up from the 2nd to get 2 first round picks if there's someone there they really like before a drop off in talent. Value is nice, but our roster clearly needs game changing talent and unless Allen makes an enormous jump in year 2, we don't have that on either side of the ball right now.

At 9? Neither.Maybe at 15 or so. Otherwise, I'd go for BPA and beef up our talent on the DL which sorely needs it. We're going to really struggle against the run and with our pass rush if we don't. I expect a sizeable drop in our overrated D if we don't address this in the draft in round 1.

There's 1 point that I disagree on. The rule 'players get better after their rookie year' does not apply to punters. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if we drafted one in the 7th or brought in another as a UDFA for competition.

Need is the what you draft if the difference between the highest players on your board is negligible as is usually the case in the middle rounds and later. In fact, I think it's no coincidence that Suh isn't a Bill now because so much top end talent is at DT. If the Bills go Edge in round 1, I'd wager that Beane will be talking to his agent if only for due diligence. Why else would Suh remain unsigned? Maybe I'm wrong about him, though. He did take the year off until the playoffs which is why the Rams didn't keep him.

Despite being #2 in yards allowed, the Bills D still lagged in some crucial categories. We would do well to add a couple impact players on the DL where only Hughes stands out, at CB opposite White where we could use competition and at LB where our best player is 1 year from retiring. Milano is good, but not great. Edmunds is a real disappointment. I'm fine with drafting D if the value isn't there on O. In fact, we really need a beast at both DT and DE. Great defense starts up front.
