  1. We have a huge hole to fill at DT. That would be my first guess.
  2. Apparently some posters aren't aware that T Murphy is an above average DE and are describing him as a "rotational" player. There are 2 possible scenarios in which Murphy doesn't start at LDE in 2019 besides injury. The first is that Shaq wins the job. Murphy is ever so slightly better than Shaq at this point. The other is the Bills draft a DE in the 1st round. This 2nd scenario seems less likely because we have much bigger needs, but you never know. It would make no sense to keep him if they were going DE on day 1, though. I think Shaq would be gone if we go DE on day 1 or 2.
  3. I expect modest improvement for both of last year's first round picks. I honestly don't believe either of them will ever be great.
  4. An individual FA doesn't need to be a difference maker, but he should be able to upgrade a spot. A group of FA's can make an impact like going from 1 to 4 "above average" OL will allow you to start running the ball well enough to take a lot of the pressure off an inexperienced QB, for example. Also, putting the ball in McCoy's hands twice as much could mean 2 more wins over the course of the season.
  5. I live just outside Dallas and #%$@ no, I'm not embarrassed to wear Bills gear. If someone doesn't like it, they can go *€^<> themselves. I don't care how many games they win or lose. I wear my Sabres gear too.
  6. LOL He juked the C. I've never seen a DT do that before.
  7. You think that Waddle is a starter? Freakin Mills is better than Waddle. So are Long and Teller.
  8. Mills is a backup caliber OT, but Houston's OT's aren't qualified NFL backups. He could start for them. Seriously.
  9. Chris Lindstrom if Oliver is gone and we trade down. Irv Smith Jr in the early 2nd.
  10. Excellent post! Let's also look at the "OVRL" Madden ratings. Morse 82 Bodine 72 Nsekhe 76 Mills 71 Dawkins 78 Teller 75 Miller 74 Long 73 Ducasse 71 Waddle 70 The rest are all below 70 and Boettger is below 60. So, we have a sizeable improvement at C. A smaller improvement at RT and the rest of the FA's is a bunch of guys fighting for a backup job when camp starts. Long was a 78 in 2017 and injured his hand, so we'll see how that works out. Throw in a day 2 and a day 3 OL to compete and this is an OK OL, but nothing special. 3 upgrades would give Shady another 1,000 season and that could help Josh Allen a lot. The one to watch is Long. When he left the Redskins, he was a OVRL 91. My guess is that Nsekhe starts in 2019 and we draft an OL on day 2 and 3. We'll see. As far as receivers go, Jones is a 79. Beasley is 83, but he's 86 if I put him in as a slot receiver. Brown is 80 with 95 speed. Foster 73 with 93 speed. Kroft 77 and Croom 74. K Benjaman is 77, but started 2018 at 84 and Clay is 81.
  11. Absolutely -- Especially YoloInOhio. This is the first place I come for news.
  12. I don't think we've signed anyone in FA these last 2 years that will have a significant impact on wins and losses. Morse is the best FA signing so far and he's coming off 2 injury riddled seasons. He was the 3rd best C in the C-stacked AFCW. As always, our drafts will eventually determine our fate. On the bright side, we just signed our 2 best WR's and Morse is a pretty big upgrade at C. Nsekhe is also a noticeable upgrade at RT even if he is 'almost average'. Our return game also got a long overdue upgrade too. As far as these other new OL are concerned, we'll just have to wait and see, but I'd caution against too much optimism. I am intruiged by this WR from the CFL, though. As we stand now, I'd love to see us draft Ed Oliver, Irv Smith Jr and Chris Lindstrom in rounds 1 and 2 after packaging our 3rd with a day 3 pick, but I have a feeling they will be gone before we pick. Lindstrom in the 2nd would be sweet.
  13. That makes no sense at all for the Titans.
  14. Simple. We have no one to replace Kyle and there are several DT's who figure to be there at 9 that would probably be top 5 most years. Oliver is a difference maker IMO.
  15. Too bad he's not very good or I'd be excited to hear this. Both Nsekhe and Dawkins are better.
  16. Jordan is depth...period. Harry may become an OK DT, but he certainly isn't there yet. DT is most definitely a need and there's bound to be a good one at the #9 spot.
  17. My guess is we go DT at 9 and OL or Irv Smith Jr. in the 2nd.
  18. I read that he wasn't a solid runner between the tackles and not a good route runner. Love his speed, though.
  19. If we draft a day 1 starter at RG and both Dawkins and Teller take a step up, you'll see a HUGE jump in production from McCoy. Speaking of McCoy, I think fans need to acknowledge his attitude. A lot of players would have been throwing trash to the media if they had to play behind our OL last year. Shady had nothing but accolades for his teamates even though they couldn't open a hole to save to save their lives. I like this kid Lindstrom if we can trade back up into the 1st round or if we trade down. He really has a chance at greatness IMHO.
  20. Older than dirt, but he can still play at a fairly high level. 1 year deal? I'd rather have him than Ansah.
  21. OLIVER!!! Seriously though, Ziggy isn't that good any more. It wouldn't surprise me i the least if Shaq or T Murphy had a better year.
  22. We'd have to swap NE for Cleveland and have all 4 top 10 2018 QB's in the AFCE.
  23. Yes. Ty is a below average starter, but Mills is a backup at best. It's amazing that he's had a starting job this long. I don't know how PFF rates them, but on my Madden 19, Ty is a 76 and Mills is a 71. I know that's just Madden, but I think their player ratings are better than many people claim -- They just get mad when their favorite player gets downgraded.
