  1. We have 7 day 3 picks. Another scenario is to move up from the 2nd to get 2 first round picks if there's someone there they really like before a drop off in talent. Value is nice, but our roster clearly needs game changing talent and unless Allen makes an enormous jump in year 2, we don't have that on either side of the ball right now.
  2. At 9? Neither.Maybe at 15 or so. Otherwise, I'd go for BPA and beef up our talent on the DL which sorely needs it. We're going to really struggle against the run and with our pass rush if we don't. I expect a sizeable drop in our overrated D if we don't address this in the draft in round 1.
  3. There's 1 point that I disagree on. The rule 'players get better after their rookie year' does not apply to punters. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if we drafted one in the 7th or brought in another as a UDFA for competition.
  4. Need is the what you draft if the difference between the highest players on your board is negligible as is usually the case in the middle rounds and later. In fact, I think it's no coincidence that Suh isn't a Bill now because so much top end talent is at DT. If the Bills go Edge in round 1, I'd wager that Beane will be talking to his agent if only for due diligence. Why else would Suh remain unsigned? Maybe I'm wrong about him, though. He did take the year off until the playoffs which is why the Rams didn't keep him.
  5. Despite being #2 in yards allowed, the Bills D still lagged in some crucial categories. We would do well to add a couple impact players on the DL where only Hughes stands out, at CB opposite White where we could use competition and at LB where our best player is 1 year from retiring. Milano is good, but not great. Edmunds is a real disappointment. I'm fine with drafting D if the value isn't there on O. In fact, we really need a beast at both DT and DE. Great defense starts up front.
  6. 24th? Sounds about right. Our D is WAY overrated. Our RB's are ancient. Our OL and receivers are average. Our front 7 badly needs an overhaul. Our secondary is good, but not great. I'd guess we'll finish somewhere around 18th to 22nd.
  7. Let's get real. We went from one of the 3 worst OL's in the NFL (not worst OL ever) to an average OL. Our best new OL is Morse who was rated by PFF as the 13th best C in the league. Spain is a tick above 'avg starting G' and Dawkins is definitely avg starting OT at best. Those are our 3 best. I'd say we went from about 31st to 15th. That's a very huge jump and will hopefully be enough to get Shady another 1,000+ yard season as well as helping Allen make much needed strides in his sophmore season.
  8. 7 or 8 wins is reasonable. At least we'll have a rushing attack, but our defense will slip. We'll be surrendering rushing yards to opponents in big chunks and Josh Allen will continue to throw too many picks.
  9. Not a fan and they look just like the Eagles.
  10. With the middle class all but gone by now, who's buying tickets to AAF games anyways? Maybe they should go over to China and try to start a league there.
  11. Beane just said "Free Agency is about needs and the draft is about BPA." He has done a pretty good job of making a rough patch for nearly all the holes on this roster. This sets him up well for going BPA on days 1 and 2. After that, players' grades won't differ much anyways, so he can fill more holes or double down on a hole if he thinks he needs to. Day 3 is also a good day to add rookies with ST experience.
  12. What I know is that a dominant DL hsd a big affect on the entire defense and the win column. If they go DE in round 1, so be it, but we need a stud to replace Kyle. If the difference is small, yes. This is especially true later in the draft where the differences among a group of players is minimal or in higher rounds where the talent is about to take a noticeable drop at a position of need.
  13. An upgrade over Nsekhe would be nice, but Nsekhe is already a considerable upgrade over Mills.
  14. I'm not. I'm stating that an accurate arm is better than scrambling ability. Rosen has better natural accuracy than Allen who throws poorly placed balls with maddening regularity.
  15. I agree, OP. Rosen was a rookie QB on a terrible team and has better natural ability to throw accurately than Allen -- FAR better. I'd make this move and let Rosen and Allen battle it out and see which one is better. Allen hasn't shown that he has anything besides arm strength and the ability to scramble. I'll take a great passer over a great runner at QB every time.
  16. OJ. Everyone else is a distant 2nd at best. Too bad so many of you never saw him play or you'd have no doubt as I don't. Off field, he was a conceited jerk, bad actor, thief, woman beater and murderer. This is why so many have subconsciously downgraded him. He is the only man to ever break the 2,000 yard mark in a 14 game season. There may never be another RB his equal, ever. You had to see it with your own eyes to fully understand.
  17. It's unlikely that he'll take more than a couple snaps on offense all year, but solid ST'er. We need that.
  18. I'd go with DT then G then OT then WR. Next year, we'll need RB and LB. Any time we can upgrade DE, CB or TE would not be too soon. We need to see big improvement at QB and MLB as well. I might put WR, but it doesn't look like there is anyone in this draft that come right in and be a day 1 starter.
  19. Why this year? If one they like isn't there, maybe they go with Shady and Gore and draft one next year.
  20. To those that say he can't play any more, do some reading before you post and not just reading other posts here that say he has nothing left. I don't recall any of you calling for the Bills to release Kyle last year when he had even less gas left. Or you can just make $#;[] up, I suppose. We were talking about a 1 year deal. It's hardly Nelson's fault the Raiders sucked last year. He probably retired because playing for Gruden was such a letdownLOL.
