  1. I'd rather see them trade up from the 3rd to the 2nd, but I'm not sure. It's my understanding that this is wher the supply of guys with a very strong chance of starting runs out. Of course, there will always be some later picks and UDFA's that will be diamonds in the rough.
  2. Jace Sternberger is a terrible blocker, but he can learn to get better and he's an excellent receiver. I think he'd instantly become Allen's favorite target.
  3. I'm amazed by all the hype over Jawaan Taylor and he's still undrafted. I doubt the Cardinals pass on him.
  4. Good choices, but I'd rather go TE than WR.Not by any wide margin, though. We have several solid WR's that could still get better, but I don't see much beyond average at TE.
  5. You mean Kroft, Beasley and Brown. Yes. What's with the attitude?
  6. Ed Oliver was both the best remaining player at 9 and a guy that filled our biggest need. The next pick now becomes almost impossible to predict now. We could get a CB or TE or WR or DE or OT or Interior OL. I'd be fine with any of those choices. We still need to address the pass rush, but all of those positions could use an upgrade. Even LB, at least for depth and ST, but I'd rather wait. RB is another likely choice, but probably not at 40. Daboll coached Irv Smith too. That could factor in.
  7. God bless the Raiders. I didn't expect Oliver to be there at 9. For a while I almost thought Allen would get to us! No matter. I'm very happy with this pick.
  8. Dexter Lawrence is a physical freak. Why is that such a bad pick? He's the best run defender in the country. Hardly ever misses a tackle. Moves like a man 50 lbs lighter. Can't be blocked 1 on 1. I'd take him in the 20's without hesitation. I don't claim to be the expert, but your response puzzles me. Why are you so down on Lawrence?
  9. I hate it. Make a very long reach at 9, then trade away our best DL. That would be the bonehead move of the decade, IMO.
  10. It depends a lot on who we get in the 1st round. I can't even figure out what will happen with the 9th pick and I sure as heck don't know what will happen at 40 and beyond. I vote for BPA.
  11. For the record, if ANYONE we draft ANYWHERE turns out to be an all pro, I won't be the least bit disappointed.
  12. I really like Dexter Lawrence. I'm surprised he isn't ranked higher. He's built like a NT, but unlike Star or Tim Settle, he can play as a 3 gap because of his athleticism. He's the best run stopper in the country. When this guy gets his hands on you, you're going down. Didn't he have 0 missed tackles last year?
  13. 1. Ed Oliver, DT Houston 2. Jace Sternberger, TE Texas A&M I'd LOVE to see your prediction come true. Throw in Jace Sternberger and I'll drive all the way to Buffalo for the post-draft party.
  14. Let me just throw a wrench in the works here. Just for fun. Dexter Lawrence.
  15. If I had to choose 1 player it would be Q Williams because he's the best player in the draft. I don't think we'll have any chance to get him, though. As far as my best hope for this draft as a whole, I want us to draft 2 guys that will be our 2 best players. I'm thinking someone like Dexter Lawrence could fall to us and that he's very underrated. Then somehow get a guy like Fant or AJ Brown that turns out to be much better than advertized and a total game changer. Add a couple more pleasant surprises and we're good to go.
  16. Perhaps so. Gore has always gotten by on his wits. Shady has taken Josh under his wing, so to speak. Yeldon is a decent backup. Despite all the fans ranting about their ages, this could be far worse. Next year our top pick or FA signing could be Shady's heir.
  17. We used to be the Buffalo Williams. Now we're just Bills.
  18. So you don't like it when women talk football? 6 wins isn't that far off. So she's not a Bills homer. I think 7 or 8 wins is more likely, but 6 is definitely possible if the injury bug bites. (Knock on wood)
  19. Bold move. I wouldn't mind. We need an elite talent that can change the momentum of a game and we don't have 1 on either side of the ball right now. Q Williams is also an off field leader that has all the drive he needs to be the best. Dareus should have been that guy, but was unmotivated.
  20. No. He'll play this last season on his contract, gain over 1,000 yards and move on. He'll be well remembered for never calling out a horrendous OL that failed him all of last season when a lot of other guys would have run crying to the press. Shady accepted his situation like a man and this year he will look like the real McCoy once again.
