  1. Wait! He's one of the Avengers AND he got disintigrated in a movie? I definitely want him on our roster now!
  2. Since when do punters get better? It's not like they get coached up. All they do is kick the football. What's there to coach?
  3. Many posters are overrating Ansah's value. His skills have diminished considerably. He' s Trent Murphy 2.0. Let someone else overpay him and eat his dead money next year. We need top tier DE's if we're going to get to the playoffs because we have a 3rd tier QB. I'm thinking we'll trade for 1 and draft another next year and/or resign Hughes if the terms are right. 90 is both his jersey # and his Madden rating.
  4. We have a bunch of good WR's, but no great ones. He might not make the roster. Competition for WR roster spots will be fierce.
  5. I thought this guy was a pretty good punter. Obviously JAX was stupid to make him a 3rd round pick, but his career numbers are solid and he's clearly an upgrade, isn't he? What don't I know about him that explains why he's unsigned?
  6. The NFL average for 'on a dime' passes is 15 to 16 percent, which means that roughly half the QB's in the NFL are doing it more often than that. Josh Allen is doing that about half as often as the NFL average. There's no question that Allen's inability to place the ball with accuracy on a consistent basis is a major contributor to our dropped passes total. He has one of the worst accuracy ratings of any NFL QB's, not just starters. He has the strongest arm around, but the accuracy of a 3rd string QB.
  7. I still say Lamonica was the better QB.
  8. The league avg for 'right on target' throws is between 15 and 16%. Josh's figure for 2018 was 8 point something percent -- about half the avg. That's obviously a big factor. It's not all on the receivers.
  9. I expect us to run more now that we've upgraded the OL. I'll say 55% completion rate, 2,800 yards, 15 TD's and 24 INT's for Allen in 2019.
  10. There's always a lot of mystery with small school players. At least we know he won't go down without a fight and I'm guessing he'll be good in short yardage situations like Marcus Allen was. He makes quick decisions, sees the field well like Fred did and he's slippery.
  11. Darnold deserves to be higher. Rosen might turn out better too. Also, he never said Mayfield is the 2nd coming of Brady. You just made that up.
  12. I know you homers can't admit it, but this article is dead on accurate. The only team in the NFL with a worse QB scenario than the Bills is the Giants. My greatest fear is that it will take OBD far too long to realize this like the Dolphins did with Tannehill or the Bucs with Winston. We'll remain an afterthought until a new HC comes in and says he wants a new QB. We'll also be crying over the fact that we could have had Mahomes, but Whaley (and his scouts) blew it. My goodness how butthurt everyone is over this!
  13. Our first 2 picks were great, but I gotta go with Allen to JAX at 7. The Raiders could have traded back at least 8 places and gotten Ferrell. We don't have "one of the top receiver units" in the NFL. We have an above average WR corps with solid depth.
  14. I think we finish ahead of Miami, but the Jets did a LOT to improve -- even more than us. Also, long term, I think Darnold will be a much better QB than Allen. I think 7 or 8 wins and 3rd in the AFCE is where we finish in 2019.
  15. It appears that speed is his achilles heel, but he's solid in all other regards. I'm wondering if he could add some muscle mass and move up to the 2nd level.
  16. I know this guy has a lot of work to do to get ready to play TE in the NFL, especially his route running. The good news is that he appears to have all the athletic ability needed for success and he is already a good blocking TE.
  17. I'd have to go with Darnold. I still think Rosen has a chance, but he's been on 2 very weak offenses in Arizona and Miami. Mayfield should take a big jump as well. I think Josh's natural inability to throw well placed, catchable balls on a consistent basis will limit his value.
  18. Value-wise, this was our best pick of the draft. If we can get him to see more of the field, he'll not only be a starter, but he'll be a probowler. He needs to bulk up a bit, but that's the easy part.
  19. All things equal, I'd take Fitz, but you're right. I'd be equally happy with Tyrod.
  20. Agreed on both points except we're stuck with Lotulelei for 4 more years or we eat dead money to upgrade the position. Oliver will be facing double teams instead of Star. We won't need to offer Hughes a 4 year contract because no one else will either and I still think he can be productive for a couple more years, but that's just a guess. DE could be our primary need next offseason.
  21. #2. This is his "show me" year. Besides, who's to say he won't get his veteran contract and hit the snooze button like Dareus did?
  22. He's dead on average for a star-ting DT. This signing was a mistake and is compounded by the fact that we gave him a long term deal. By the end of the 2019 season, he may well be the 3rd best DT on the roster behind Oliver and Harry. J Phillips has little to no chance of passing him up, though. I wonder if McBeane will realize this and trade him and either Murphy or Shaq. Unlikely, but they admitted their mistake with KB and moved on. It's harder to do that with a guy that has the right attitude like Star. KB was immature and disinterested. I sincerely hope you're wrong about Hughes.
